  • Thanks for your video. Very clear explanation.

  • very interesting video thanks

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • my brain started hurting by 1:41

  • i loled when the music started playing

  • i meant within the the water molecules that form the ice.

  • @Chuichupachichi Sorry, dude. You are misinterpreting the laws of thermodynamics here. There is always an overall increase in entropy over the universe, but in subunits of space, there can be a decrease in entropy, such as the transfer of heat from a hot environment to the ultimately cold universe. When ice forms, there is a decrease of entropy within the ice. Therefore, much of what occurs on Earth has decrease in entropy when it cools, transferring the heat to the rest of the universe.

  • Henry Poincare named the conception of "entropy " as a " surprising abstract " Lev Landau wrote: " A question about the physical basis of the entropy monotonous increasing law remains open " One physicist said : " The entropy is only a shadow of energy“ # History: Clausius : dS= dQ /T. Boltzmann : S= k log W Planck : h*f = kT logW The formula of Entropy is : h*f = kT logW Israel Sadovnik Socratus
  • This would have helped me a TON when I was studying thermodynamics in college. I'll be sharing this as much as I can.

  • A theory of origins debate on a thermodynamical entropy video? That's a new one.

  • How is entropy's effect on only isolated systems related to mortality? Besides that, entropy only effects isolated systems because, unless the system isn't isolated and therefore gets energy from an outside source, it's going to run out of usable energy. The potato cools down, and unless an outside source gives it more it, it's not going to heat up. Organism are isolated systems because, unless you get energy from an outside source, which is what food is, you'll die.

  • Does the second law of thermodynamics prove disorder is constantly increasing? And does that prove that the universe must have had a beginning? Explain. Thanks.

  • @Nervousification the second law of thermodynamics is a statement. It is not its own proof.

Whether or not that proves that the universe had a beginning is a difficult thing. This is due to the fact that it is also somewhat philosophical. Some people think time is circular, others think it's a bunch of big bangs that occur with time going in a straight line. Whatever floats your boat at that point.

  • @ichinarukurumaki I was just asking because many creationists use the law of entropy to assert that there was a definite beginning. I favor the "Big Bounce" theory, which would do away with the need for an absolute beginning via entropy, but I was wondering if entropy even reasonable points to a beginning or not.

How surprising is it that a you tube comment was based on the atheist/theist debate? I know right?!

  • @Nervousification

    {I favor the "Big Bounce" theory, which would do away with the need for an absolute beginning via entropy}

Entropy is irrelevant to the fact of time/space being finite. Einstein discovered that time/space is finite, with E=MC2. He didn't like it. Thus, he attempted to falsify his own discovery & later regretted having wasted his time & energy. When Hubble invited Einstein to Mnt. Wilson to observe his "red-shift" discovery, Einstein finally conceded to time/space being finite

  • This video simply demonstrates matters pertaining to Entropy. But they're irrelevant to whether the universe is finite or static. Creationists don't use Entropy to explain that time/space is finite. Entropy kills Evolutionary Theory because Entropy is the consummate killer. The common Evolutionist is taught that Entropy effects only isolated systems. If that were correct, then neither we, nor any other organism would ever die

Nobody disputes the future occurrence of the Universal Equilibrium

  • @Chuichupachichi Being that I am currently taking thermodynamics in college, I would like to let you know that your whole perception on entropy and evolution are completely wrong and retarded. Please, before you comment on something like this, do study thermodynamics and evolution in college as I have.

furthermore, an isolated system does not exist. It is only a model to describe things. Organisms are neither isolated, or closed. It is an open system. Because of this, organisms die and you fail

  • aka "Heat Death". Its going to occur because Entropy imposes itself upon the entire universe & everything in it. Thus, Cosmological Evolution could have never occurred because it describes a process that is diametrically opposed to the reality of the Entropic Effect. Abiogenesis is dependent upon Cosmological Evolution. Thus, it also never occurred. Biological Evolution is dependent upon Abiogenesis. Thus, it also never occurred

  • I just killed Theory of Evolution... its that simple. In order for Evolutionists to deny my effective falsification of Evolution, they must deny or corrupt the explanation of Entropy... the most repeatedly validated natural law known to science

  • Does anyone know what his input method is for all his videos, it doesnt seem like a mouse...

  • thermodynamics is cool

  • I got a wife praise the Lord!!!

  • @svengaligraves13 dont get mad because the head between your legs is more intelligent than the one between your shoulders

  • @svengaligraves13 what the fuck does thermodynamics have to do with how often you get laid??

  • Explaining everything well and clear! Thanks..!

  • thanks for u work,,, can we have some videos on exergy. i didnt find any video on youtube about it.

    thanks

  • When Khan teaches he actual tries to bring some intuitive sense to the subject. I think this is the key to his genius.

  • wheres the second law of thermodynamics??? :s

can someone plz post me the link ? Plz :s

  • entropy -or-Maxwell's Demon is the little carrot on a string out in front of the goat on the Little Rascals home made cart

  • lady gaga

  • "Procyclic Heat Transformation Theory" remember that I have the (C) copywright on the theory....eventually its going to be known who actually gave you the idea. I know you proved the math, but nobody actually understanstands "Entropy" in a quantum leap.

  • O.K. so S is a state variable in a reversible system. Then DS is zero in a cyclical process. Irreversible means irreversible in a physical, not a mathematical sense? So whenever the entropy increases, the process cannot run backwards in time?! State variable means dS is the total differential of S?

  • You need to do a series on Quantum Thermodynamics. Classical Thermodynamics is like Classical Mechanics is to Quantum Mechanics. It's a mile-high view of something which is really working at the quantum level.

  • you should also state that friction is another type of "inefficiency" which has NOTHING to do with the theoretical efficiency. To do a more correct version of this video, you should take rocks off, rather than pebbles (still frictionless). You should leave friction out of the discussion until the very end and state that real systems (engine), with friction cannot even get to the theoretical efficiency. Your use of friction in the videos is incorrect.

  • It was perfect, well done! It really helped me!!!!

  • If you need help for this stuff good luck for the rest .. :D

  • thank you. It helped

  • does that mean removing a pebble = adding heat to system???

  • Aside from the theory...can anyone produce a practical example...

  • Thanks Alot. It helped alot.

  • Sweet voice...

  • why is it that friction added only heat to the system and didn't add heat to that which the system was rubbing against to cause friction?

  • That would be called 'transfer of energy' from what particle to another.

  • @SteroidsR4success i don't think you understood my question.

  • Haters.

Thanks for the vid. This helps a lot.

  • "kind of" count is high on this video

  • thanks a lot for clarifying the reversible process! My physics textbook sucks! It needs more examples.

  • whats ur problem? Wut did he do wrong? This is a great video

  • @Winxin864 if you say so.

  • @Winxin864 Two words: Theoretical science

  • BELIALIAR, yes u r right to call urself a liar and it is u who should boil in hell and not sal.
