  • for all of you who have to turn this into a black or brown thing lets remember we have more in common than anyone else so lets put this race thing to the side and enjoy the music cuz its the only thing that breaks the race barrier.

  • @bigchubby100 Well said...and this from a "white chick" who doesn't understand why this great music conversation has to turn into a racial thing. Chill guys and enjoy the music and each other - no matter what color.

  • I wonder if there will ever be a YouTube posting of a song for which the conversation doesn't degenerate into references to race, religion or Justin Bieber. Doesn't seem like it's happened yet.

  • im still here cause of you dad

  • I'm a cracka ass cracka and I'm bumping this song and don't give a rats ass who likes it.

  • I Remember the very day when I gave away all my Cap Guns, Holsters and Stick Horses and told my little pardners I was still there for them but I had to learn how to dance and Playing Cowboy was out and Girls were in. . .Damn those were some great days!

  • these songs brings back alot of memories back from the day this what i call good music

  • It's a great thing when Black & Hispanic brothers and sisters can get together and enjoy good music no matter who recorded it.

  • Further more the main ingredients to the projection of soul that come naturally to which will remain scarce in opposing forces that continue to be oblivious to the history of and present day black oppression that motivates this example of soul, notice every white or anybody that projects soul has the main ingredients of respect and acceptance that come naturally to those who are apart of what is black culture

  • this is in fact from the tortured soul of the black man, and it can be related to by others ... but it still remains black owned seeing how no one can match the projection of a soul that has indured such devastation .... only the ones with no real relation of soul cant accept that in my opinion .

  • "MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL"!! "Where people can't connect on their own, music bring "US" all together"! "MUSIC HAS NO COLOR"! "This is why we all can relate to it"! " LOVE THE MUSIC AND REMINISCE ABOUT THE GOOD OLD DAYS"!! :))

  • Cool Chicano music!

  • Remember this great classic saince I was a lil girl & still love it/thanks for posting & sharing.

  • @watts800 lol suck my chicano dick watt faggot? Nigger slave bitch

  • @ChicanoPridex08 im sorry for what this black person said u know sum black people is crazy but please next time dont take it that far cool with u

  • Fuck that yo, YOU can't speak for anyone's experience but your own! i'd rather see the artist who MADE this song rather than someone's culturally impertinent icons that decidedly conceals the truth. Develop respect for something you cannot claim as an ethnic passage. I don't care if you like the music or not bro, that's irrelevant to my point. Don't pimp the black experience & try to slap a label on it to, in the least, suggest to viewers that it represents something "other" than soul music.

Who gives a fuck if the song was recorded by a black, hispanic or white artist?

If it is good then that is all that matters.

Do you like it? Does it bring back memories of good times from long ago?

Then it is a part of YOUR life.

Their is no claim to music and it belongs to no one.

It is one thing that we all have in common so why piss all over it here?

  • this song probably means different things to different people. To me it just

reminds me of better times when people actually cared about each other,

when the concept of "brotherhood" thrived. Man this generation don't know

crap about life in general. Really sad.

  • i'm 46 and this brings memories of life in harlem and all the cool older cats that have since departed. but those brothas were real men and cool as shit.

  • THANK THE lORD THAT WE ARE STILL ABLE TO REMEMBER SUCH WONDERFUL SONGS.

  • Those of you who feel you own this music and all rights to it, seem to think it has something to do with gang bangers/gangsters, you better listen to the words! Because people of all ethnicities love this song, and so many others written and

song by Black artists, record companies signed them, and all of us can enjoy their

    talent.

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak Right on, I agree with you. This great song, to me, as a white woman, is about a man and a woman, not race. I don't care what color artists are with these beautiful songs -- what matters to me is what the songs are about. As you say, we should be enjoying these artists' talent and music -- everybody.

  • @coashddjj2 ,

    Hi,

Thanks! Music like this should bring people together, it used to! Take care!

  • walkout film

  • hey listen up! to all you racist people making comments. Oldies is about listening to great quality music. No matter what color you are, if you listen to Oldies, you got great music taste and thats that! Fuck all the dumb shit!

  • I think this is disrespectful to see your Mexican drawings in this video oppose to seeing the actual artist. How dare you, but even your tacky drawings can't bring this song down

  • @7Know7Thy7Enemy7,

I'm not an American of Mexican decent, nor am I the talented artist who drew the pictures featured on this video.

I'm Lakota Sioux, do not talk to me about what I can, and cannot do. Sometimes, it is better to remain silent and

appear ignorant, than to speak and prove it!

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak The drawings are not needed for a great song like this. The artist should be put up there instead of Mexicans drawings. Plain and simple, it is actually ignorant to even put this on video.

  • @7Know7Thy7Enemy7 whatever! u posted this shit 9 hours ago,,,really? where were u 15 yrs ago when i first heard this? stupid,,i dont know why ppl have to bash someody all the time,,nothing else better to do ,i guess

  • CHI-TOWN bang bang shoot em up !!!!!!

  • Anaheim represent fuck the gangs chicano life aint about gangs n barrios.......viva la raza

  • @carnifex714 People don't realize that the Chicanos held these artists down long after they were popular w/black audiences..Just watched Mary Wells Unsung on TV One and 10,000 Chicano came to her shows before she died in the 80s/90s

  • IT'S NOT EVEN ABOUT RACE\ ETHNIC BACK GROUND U COULD B YELLOW N STILL HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH PURPLE..MUSIC WAS INTENDED FOR ALL THOSE WHO RELATE TO IT...BTW BLACKS WERE'NT THE ONLY SLAVES THAT EXISTED\EXIST ...BLACKS R JUST MOST KNOWN TO B ENSLAVED BUT WEREN'T THE ONLY ONES..

  • great song

  • So many internet gangsters commenting on this. Shouldn´t you be out on the street putting in work and earning stripes? It´s a lot safer to gangbang from a keyboard... you lames!!! This is soul music created for the massess to buy and enjoy and just like Nike, Dickies, Ben Davis, and professional sports team merchendise, they are all making money of you little punks. So who´s pimpin´who? Just listen to the music and chill, get a voice coach and start making your own damn "oldies".

  • Stop alowing yourself to be used liked a chess game, black on on side and white on the other, one of the ways the White race has been able to control the mass of people is by turning one another aginst each other , just think how POWERFUL we could be if we all (people of color) came together.

I challage all of you who are so aganist each other to take 5min's out your day and learn something about your past and you will be shocked at what you find.

  • @cal52002 You forget the Latinos in your comment. It´s no longer just a black and white thing.

  • @Frankticas

Thanks, my refference is to ALL people of color...! thanks my brother..

  • @cal52002 Your comment is a little crazy dude The average white folks don't care if You fight one another We are just trying to get along in this world What do you mean by POWERFUL So You wanna take over huh If You are legal I welcome You but if You are illegal take your butt back to where you came from all the illegals are gonna turn this country into another mess like mexico all illegals should be ent back NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • My Brothers,

Calm your sprits!! Let me first say that during the time of Slavery when Africans migrated from the deep south and moved West while being chased by the slave cathers it was Mexico that faught back the slave traders and took in the Africans. And together Mexican and African drove the slave cacthers back to the south.

  • A song from the late 60s that sounds like it comes from the mid-50s.

  • man u need lighting up and lising to the music that is what its about

  • Woah..whats with the grumpiness? Lets just listen to the awesome music aye?? :)

  • No Mexican has made any solid R&B tunes.

  • @ChicanoPridex08 wow what a jerk..

  • @ChicanoPridex08 NO. Fuck your MAMA. You'll like it better.

  • Maybe I'm stupid I know I'm getting old but wow if you listen to the words of this song it has absolutely nothing to do with Black Power Hispanic Power or White Power... it's a song about a boy growing up and noticing GIRLS!! duh! So Peace Out!

  • great beach music shag song ; )

  • you guys are all fuckin fools! just listen to the music. its not about who made the music or the color of their skin. enjoy these tunes while you still can. quit trying to be all technical about it because nobody even gives a shit

  • dam i remember these 3 teenagers back in the day made a rap video of this song and it sounded pretty cool. I really wish i rememberd wat their group was called

  • this song is tight

  • @villain301 Raza ain't got NOTHING to do with classic soul. You played no part in its creation, you just listen to it and imitate it like millions of others. No go pick up your accordion and play some of that music you copied from the Germans and Poles.

  • Comment removed

  • @luvureally really blacks copied the classic fred astaire and if you dont believe me michael jackson did. and he some copying the whole smooth criminal video was already done by Fred. classic soul copied the Big band if not the doo woppers era and you think you had the ideas please lol my friend besides we all copied each other believe me the brazilians music sounds like african music everyone copys just enjoy who gives a dam oldies arent raza but they are for everyone to enjoy

  • @GMC99 Really, Fred Astaire "copied" dance greats like Bill "Bojangles" Robinson and John Bubbles (who gave him tap lessons). Big band swing(jazz) was created by Black musicians as was doo wop, so why wouldn't they "copy" it? Brazilian music sounds African because Brazilians retained so much of their African heritage! Why didn't you respond to your fellow raza's racist rant about this being raza music and referring to Blacks as monkeys?

  • @luvureally exactly you proved my point everyone copys each other. you tell them off and ill back your situation up. its that Chicano bullshit they made meanwhile Real Mexicans dont believe in chicano crap. im not racist i like Fats Domino Louie Armstrong and 80's funk. everyone copys each other for instance the Western cowboys in the 1800s they copied the mexicans there is a reason for copying to make things evolve or maybe better from fred astaire to frank sinatra fats domino to chuck berry

  • @luvureally How are you gonna say we had nothing to do with it when were the ONLY ones who kept it alive DUMBASS

  • @MrAspec1 JACKASS I was talking about the CREATION of the music. This music was created out of the cultural experience of BLACK Americans, so RAZA had nothing to do with it. Soul music tells OUR story, not YOURS. Because I can enjoy and identify with the music of another ethnic group does not make it MY culture! As for Raza keeping music alive, Europe has been a Mecca for Black musicians since WW1 for those wishing to expand or extend their careers.

  • @luvureally Gent's, This music works because it's from a simpler time. All the music was supposed to do was make you happy,it had no agenda, no misterious message and reguardless of what freakin color you are IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD!!!! So just listen PASS IT ON TO YOUR KIDS and it will never DIE.

  • @luvureally No. You're dead wrong. Black Music is Created by BLACKS 4 BLACKS. It just happens so, that other pepole that are NON-BLACK enjoy it too. When EARH WIND & FIRE go into the studio to record an album, you better belive that they have BLACK PEPOLE in mind, & no one eles. BELIVE THAT!

  • @watts800 Did you not read my post? That is what I SAID! This music was created out of the cultural experience of BLACK people.

  • @watts800 Let me end this dumb arguing. I'm black and I think you are wrong in manys and right in some. Music black people made as well as others in the past to now made music for EVERYBODY. They don't have black people in mind when making records however they do talk about the black experience. But people can relate to it and thanks to chicanos and chicas they are keeping these oldies alive for people and those artists appreciate it believe that. Latinos can relate to the same stuff.

  • @trooper40below Just cut it out because you are instigating race when its absolutely not necessary. Are you playing these oldies? Is black, white, and asian playing these oldies on a whole? NOPE! But latinos are and there is nothing wrong with that. Believe me when I tell you those artists that are still alive appreciate latinos for still bumping their music. I play soul music from the 70's and late 60's. but I respect anybody going back further and playing 50's music. One love.

  • @watts800 Serious? You are racist wow. And besides everyone knows black people don't have money to buy albums.

  • @CocacolaCowboy1919 So you think black people don't have money to buy albums. These artists are not going platinum with just white people so I don't get your point. If you are selling records you can best believe everybody bought it so you to like watts800 need to knock it off with the racial shit.

  • @trooper40below Is this your first time on the internet? Seriously? This is my first time trolling and you fell for it. I am not racist. I made a "troll" and you took the bait. But since you are stalking me, commenting on other things I have said on other videos, I wonder if you have a crush on me...wtf

  • @luvureally , 100 % true statements ! :))) !

  • @luvureally yes because we only see whites and blacks listening to oldies nowdays huh, lol many of the oldies songs were made whites and latinos too xD

  • @SupremeARA915 Yeah, but this isn't a white or latino oldie. Seems like the majority of what is known as Chicano oldies are really Black oldies.

  • @luvureally give it up for the brown brothers preserving it.. i know i wouldn't have heard a lot of old soul without that prevailing culture.. respect it

  • @felixicon Give it up to the BLACK brothers and sisters for creating this music, 'cause if they hadn't your "brown" brothers wouldn't have it to "preserve" and you would have never heard it. Take your message of "respect" to that clown villain301.

  • @luvureally music has no color brother! just heart..

  • @luvureally I've known this music since I was a kid. I'm 51 years old now.

  • @romienomie okay

  • @villain301 mexiroaches arent taking over anything but the prisons

you border cricket beaners can listen to your mariachi spic crap

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable shit ! you monkeys aint got shit on us! go back to africa you bushman!

    dont be scared.

  • @villain301 as soon as you head back to SHITCO border cricket.............

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable da funny thing is you tarbabies can talk shit but dont backit! dats why we are always getting deeper while you guys are dwindling to nothing! on da streets and da penn. go marry some more whiteys & asians so you monkeys dont exist any more hahahaha!

  • @villain301 Really?Nothing intimidating about your avrage 51 little greasy mexirat.Mexirats are only strength in numbers. And numbers you do have because you breed like actual cockroaches

  • @BlacknesUnforgivable im 6ft2 sucka fish!& in my hood you changos out past dark we smash on you!men, women,&children dont matter!

  • @villain301 In my neighborhood we killed mexishits no matter what time it is

  • @villain301 You are a Mexican that's adopting black slang and culture, while listening to black music, yet you insult blacks? You loser, you sad loser.

  • @7Know7Thy7Enemy7,

What difference does it make which culture embraces music, and how does it slam blacks if a person of Mexican

decent, or Native American Indian decent enjoys songs by Black artists? Music should bring people together, it's

universal, know that, deal with it!

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak I don't care who listens to black music, but you don't play black music with Mexican art concealing the original artist. That's disrespectful, put the artist picture over the music, not no damn Mexican art. Putting some Chicano shit over black music, and in actuality Chicano's are fucked up to blacks just like the racist white man.

  • @7Know7Thy7Enemy7

The type of art that is pictured with this song is an interpretation by the man who made the video, not the individual singing this amazing song. We all have different memories inspired by a variety of music, and the

art work is significant to a certain person and his or her interpretation or vision. We all know the Intruders sang

this song, and they get all the credit, as they should. When this song came out, gansters were of Mexican

    decent, Italian decent, Black...

  • @&Know7Thy7Enemy7 cont.... and guess what, they all drove lowered Chevy's, listened to the same music,

hung out, and cruised Van Nuys Boulevard on Saturday nights. An entirely different type of gangster, I'm telling

you the truth. So for so many people, songs like this are about people getting along together and just loving

an era that produced the best sounds EVER! Don't make it a race issue, please, that is disrespectful to the artists

that made our lives a little brighter. It's all good!

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak You are so right. I lived in Lake View Terrace where Rodney King was beat up. The same cops arrested and hassled my freinds. They did not give a shit what race we were. I also cruised Van Nuys blvd. It was great times! Everbody partied with everbody. This song brings back so many memories along with the song I do Love you.

  • @Darkwolfhowlslak Memories or not, you Italians,White,Mexican or whoever can keep your memories to yourself. But please don't convey your memories to the whole world by putting your artwork on this video. You can reminiscence to yourself, just keep those pictures and memories yourself.

  • why so much hate respect the oldies

  • Oldies but goodies will never die! i grew up with oldies listening to Art Labo and Wolfman Jack when music made since. I'm 53 now and I don't even turn on the radio cuz music now a day's is just not soothing to the ear.Thank's to all those whom like oldie but goodies and have takin time out of your busy schedules to upload songs for us to enjoy

  • wow honestly all this arguing about where this music originates from is pointless. people have different opinions,u cant change that.but history is history and that speaks for itself.now im pretty sure this music was made to enjoy regardless of where it came from so please respect the music if nothing else and just enjoy it,i do believe that's why u came here in the first place......

  • The Intruders would be so disappointed to see what you all are fighting over, honestly, it's pathetic. I'm hispanic and i love this music, your black and you love this music. Get over it. Just enjoy the music.

  • this one is my for pops a real o.g. CISCO R.I.P.

  • GET THIS STUPID SEWER RAT SCRAP SHIT OFF THIS VIDEO, THIS SONG IS WAYYY TO BEAUTFUL FOR FILTHY SHADY SEWER RATS TO RUIN IT. SERIOUSLY?? I GUESS I RESPECT THEIR TASTE IN MUSIC BUT NAW, FUCK A SEWER RAT. THEY KILLED THE LOVE OF MY LIFES HOMIE. AND FOR WHAT REASON. SEWER RATS ARE SICK. WHO CUTS OFF FINGERS N TOES N THEN LEAVES THE BODY UNDER A BRIDGE WHIKE SETTING IT ON FIRE? FUCK A SWER RAT. NASTY FUCKS.

  • @musicaddictification X3 X4 FUCK THAT GAY SHIT BUNCH OF CHAVALAS FIGHTING OVER CANDY LIKE LITTLE KIDS

  • Da Name of the song sound's so Fuckin Gay Cowboys to Girls WTF!!!!!!!

  • @amusingMark WTF! You don't get it. YO! This IDIOT dose not get the title of the song. Wow!

  • This was my time, in 68 I stopped thinking about cowboy hats and had girls on my mind. I just turned 13. And race had nothing to do with the quality of the music...we loved the Supremes as well as the Beatles, Beach Boys, and the Rascals

  • @FullMoonVideo ...Hey hey hey there, we really are and were fortunate to have 'lived' thru the 60's music. It was the music not the race of the artist that mattered. For a while, a few years of music did unite ethnicities then... actually it still does, but not like the sixties and seventies. It was woodstock time. That event did change the world. For the better of course...But now? There seems to be a lot more hate now.Peace.
