@spartansfan1026 The guy that wrote and directed it was just starting at the time. He got a lot better. He said that he gets very embarrassed when he sees the movie. He was the guy that made ABBA's music videos. His name is Lasse Hallstrom.

@serundipity I'm glad to hear he improved! I'm not a director of any sort, so I shouldn't necessarily be one to judge, and I bet it was a difficult job to satisfy both moviegoers and ABBA fans. I like ABBA's videos (I get a kick out of the earlier ones in particular), and I suppose I can tell that those videos got a little more professional and cinematic as time went on. I think this vid is from the first night of the concert. I was in a building across the road in Cook Rd watching it from the 5th floor. The next night I was there close to the stage.
