i know people that would enroll customers without their knowledge to be exact this guy enrolled 125 in one month.....now to be fair management did not know but it does happen and the people from credit protection never believe the customers they always tell u"sir/mam they must or read a disclosure we cannot just add this to ur acct" which is bull....
example if u owe 1000.00 dollars and ur annual percentage rate is 10.00 ....min will be 15.00 from that 2.74 is interest 10.00 is the one percent from the principal ur min cannot be less than 15.00 without credit protection u would be paying off 12.26 from the principal ...with credit protection ur charged .95 per hundred so for this debt would be 9.95 cents..which means with CP on ur acct u will only pay 2.76 off ur principal CP is a way to keep u on debt.....please challenge this post!!!!
This lady is completely wrong, first off, the cost depending on which institution you go with charge .85 cents / 100 dollar, some charge .89 cents/100 dollar whatever your spending balance is so if you spent 10,000 dollars it would 85.00, if you would spend 500 dollars the charge would be 4.25. For losing your job, it only covers being laid off where up to twice your minimum payment are canceled up to 18 months. I have this product and I've used it, it's awesome to have, she is a liar.
I was charged with total of $500 overdraft fee from my Bank of America saving and checking accounts over last 4 months. It's pure bullshit. So my question is: are there any medium size banks that don't have fraudulent fees?
Get off your soapbox already...what are you clearing your conscience now or trying to get some more mileage out of your job there and get on oprah? No one forced you to be unethical, but I'm sure you didn't mind making the fat incentive every month. I worked there for years and never did anything unethical or that I didn't think was right. And if my incentive payout suffered a little so what, I still made plenty of money. If it was so bad you should've just quit.
I think she is great for comming forward about these money selling scams. Unfortunately people bought it. Call those people stupit? No, because the bank employees led them to believe "it was the right thing to do."
i sell credit protection plus and Deluxe EVERYDAY on the phone for Bank of America BTW i sold 6 CPP to BOA card holders today :) n yeah CPP is suchh a rip off trust me
oh.. really? i am also selling CPP.. btw, the maximum amount that this CCP can coveris only 25,000 dollars.. so it's not good to say 30,000 dollars... :D
Incorrect, Credit Protection Plus has a capped free of $237.50 equivalent to the balance of $25,000.00. If you do carry a balance of $50,000 Credit Protection Plus will actually make the minimum payments for that balance.
Please due your due diligence before posting inaccurate information.
The maximum plan balance is only 25,000 dollars how ever there is another plan that would cover you regardless of the balance you have... and that would cost you 19.95 cents amonth the plan balance is up to the maximum of 25,000 only...
Discover Card just screwed me with their Credit Protection. Despite the fact that I never (save 2 months in my life) carry a balance they would not take no for an answer and signed me up. Then they would not remove the charge, which was high for that month since I put my auto down payment on it - which was paid if off with the next payment. So I was screwed for about $40, despite trying to get rid of their cooked salesman, but I hope to get even. Now I have stopped using their card entirely.
Someone needs to shut this woman down. Adomini24 is right
First up Credit Protection, Credit Protection Plus, and Credit Protection Deluxe will cover your minimal payments. The way it is being calculated by your total balance times one percent times the interest rate that you are paying now and the product pay for the minimal payment per month.
JP Morgan Chase has the exact same program. So does every major credit card company.
credit protection is a complete scam. I am so glad that someone put this up there. I too am a former employee as well and knew how the customer was always gettings screwed eventhough they said "think of yourself as a customer"

Credit protection is 95 cents for every 100 dollars that you owe on the card, but now it pays the full minimum payment, not 15 dollars irregardless.
