i do believe this is over a year.. and the reason it grows so fast is.. as you see every now and then she keeps it in buns and up for a bit.. when your hair is up.. and there is tension it increases blood circulation.. causing more oxygen to be supplied to the hair follicles through the blood which in turn causes the hair to grow better.
keep your hair healthy, keep the blood flow good. and you will have a faster growth result.
