8 hours doesn't seem like a long time to me my starlet is from 89" and it sat for over 2 weeks with a Temp between -10/-16 celcius it started just as it always does

The cold does affect the Toyota's but thy are "tuned" to start in the cold. I was told that Toyota takes there vehicles up north in the freezing cold to test them and make sure thy will start in the cold. For example, I have never plugged my car in.
