  • I do plan on making my entire set of GPTV episodes available, but I need to get a new laptop, SVHS deck, and a decent capture device. I am selling a few things and I'm saving up. I have a ton of other stuff I want to share as well. I literally have hundreds of VHS tapes with video game related stuff dating back to 1986. I want to back it up before the tape degrades, but I want to do it right the first time since it will most likely be the ONLY time I am going to do this.

  • I love this show but it's too darn long, please brake it in parts!!!!!!!

  • @MartyMcFly88mph2015 We may do that someday in the future. For now, viewers don't seem to mind a regular half-hour show, so we'll keep it this way. :)

  • In regards to finding old TV shows, can I also add another reason you may never see a DVD release of some is that in the mid 80's an arbitrary new video format was used in the TV industry to archive master copies (sort of like a Betamax type format) which totally died on it's ass. Hardly any of the original machines still work and converting video from it is an incredibly expensive process and would be less than any profit a DVD would make.

  • @LarryBundyJr It's the reason why the British kid's TV series "Round the Bend" will never be released on DVD.

Another reason is film was expensive up until the late 80's and it was common practice to wipe and re-use film. So a lot of shows and episodes are lost forever. The first season of Doctor Who is pretty infamous for that.

  • Did I see a street shark in the Kid Chameleon review?

  • @retromanpresents hahahaha, ya never know, dude.

  • Seems you have orbs present at the start of the video. After you say please listen and "tiny" an orb flew past mario. Intriguing.

  • @Temposama and some more at the end Matt. HUGE one to left side of your head(viewers right) after you say signing off. This is totally videogame releated, I know ... I have a huge interest in orbs in general so thought I'd share this with you ... not to say they are ghosts or anything, just intriguing forms that we are yet to understand.

  • @Temposama I think he's referring to the artifacts from camera lens optics. I get them a lot when taking pictures of black objects in lower light. I wish it were more "intriguing", but it's just a byproduct of camera optics and lighting. Nothing science can't explain. Are ORBS the new RODs? :P Those ended up being debunked as well.

Anyway, great video as usual. Always interesting stuff to be seen!

  • @Temposama Interesting. I'll have to look at that again. I don't think Matt's place is haunted, or anything like that.

  • @Temposama That's dust that my iPhone was picking up. Yeah, I used my 4S to record. :)

  • @jakdin Sorry, but that most certainly isn't dust! :p I've studied these things for a long time man, I've seen it all. Feel free to do a follow up video though, I'd be interested to see more.

  • As for Kid Chameleon, I have the Genesis cart still. Also the game is on Virtual Console, it's on the Sega Genesis Collection for PS2 and PSP, it's also on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3 and 360.

  • Ahh, yes, I wish I could find the rest of the ALF animated series both of them I bought the official DVD's of them which had 6 episodes each. Alf Tales had 13 episodes though and ALF the Animated series had 2 seasons of 13 episodes. I wish someday all the masters for shows they never plan to release again, just be uploaded onto the net for everyone to enjoy.

  • @snake2006 Just bought the ALF animated series on DVD, along with a few other DVD's we'll review in the future. They're actually still in their shrink wrap. hehe

  • @GrilledMonkeyFat

The ALF animated series DVD is just the first 7 episodes of the series. It lasted 2 seasons 13 episodes each. Sadly due to poor sales Lionsgate won't release the rest of them.

Same goes for ALF Tales. Which is a shame, I loved those cartoons as a kid.

  • Wake up, new VMTV, ah yes today is going to be a good day!
