I posted this music because I love it and it has brought me insight and peace when times were rough, not to start a debate. Sit back and enjoy the music. I think it's some of the best Christian music out there. Her lyrics are genuine and her voice is incredible!

I think her voice sounds just as good singing Christian music than it does her music today. She makes BANK on her modern music, even though its the complete opposite of what I'm listening to right now. Funny how its never mentioned she used to be a Christian singer. This makes me sad. After reading all the comments from the begining I decided to delete my comments, thinking that we should of had our debate privetly.I made a poor choice, for debating the isssue, I felt, made the gospel about Jesus less clear, which is that we are all sinners but, God gave His Son as payment for our sins, to give life to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

I posted this music because I love it and it has brought me insight and peace when times were rough, not to start a debate. Sit back and enjoy the music. I think it's some of the best Christian music out there. Her lyrics are genuine and her voice is incredible!

The voice is unmistakably Katy. She's just singing a different style - R&B /soul. Most of us who have only heard the pop/rock version of Katy likely aren't able to recognize her immediately.

@TheMovingPiano14 According to the Bible, God considers anyone who is a friend of this world, who loves the world and the things in it, to be a spiritual adulterer, and therefore God's ENEMY. Katy Hudson promotes the very things which God hates: fornication, lust, and even glorifies the vile sin of homosexuality in her songs, which is an abomination to God. If I did not warn sinners of the extreme eternal danger that they are facing if they do not repent, it would be the same as hating them.

@shiphrahhopeful if you pull Scripture in this fashion...if you are gonna play THAT game, you have to abide by ALL of it...do some searching...are you eating pork? are you changing your appearance via hair dyeing, tattoos, or anything? are you condemning women who are not locking themselves up during their menstruation?...or are you just a NT follower? i.e. a B.A.? then you have a lot of contradictions in your Christian beliefs or at least what a real Christian should believe...pray for ur soul

GALATIANS 5:19-21 makes it undeniably CLEAR who will definately NOT get into Heaven:"Now the works of the flesh are: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (being lewd, promoting lustful desires in others), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations,anger, arguing, sedition, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, fighting..they which DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD." Evidently God doesn't mean enough for Katy Perry to keep her clothes on. Perry's parents raised a spoiled brat. Perry went from Gospel singer to a lesbian-lusting loser. Katy Perry is of the Devil. @shiphrahhopeful So what do you think Jesus would have to say to everything you just wrote? Do you think He would applaud your hate and condemnation? Or would He remind you of how He came to help people that have slipped of the path to Heaven...Maybe He would mention the tax collectors and prostitutes He sat and ate with. Or possible remind you, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone" Love and prayer is what people need, not harsh words that push them further away from God.

I'm the one not showing one of the most important Christian attributes aka LOVE? Jesus came to Earth to help those that needed it, NOT those that were already following the rules. Did you ever hear of Jesus looking at a hooker in the Bible and telling her, "Sorry, you're going to hell. Bye." Definitely not. YOU are the one in desperate need of salvation man.

@CyanideXsAINT My method of evangelism is that of Biblical confrontation. It's the same as the Prophets of the Old Testament, or the Apostle Paul in the marketplace, or John the Baptist, or Jesus Christ. They PUBLICALLY CONFRONTED the culture with their SINS, in order to call them to GENUINE REPENTANCE, and to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. This BIBLICAL method of evangelism is not about HATING anyone, but on the contrary, LOVING them enough to tell them the truth....Proverbs 27:5

@shiphrahhopeful It's not like arguing over YouTube is going to change either of our views on how to approach getting people to repent. All I have to say is we obviously have two very different ideas about how to go about things. Though I hope you eventually chose a different path...As for me I'll continue walking in love to get the Word out to people. Thank God my boyfriend approached his preaching as I do now, or I'd probably have never opened my heart to Jesus.

If it's the Jesus of the Holy Bible, then as a true Christian, you & I should be able to stand on the Word of God together & match anything that we have questions about against the Word of God. You "hope that I would choose a different path" OTHER than the Word of God as my example of how to evangelize Biblically?What "path" might that be? Maybe the "Joel Olsteen" path, or the "Rick Warren" path? Sorry, not interrested in a false gospel.

katy perry is talent. everyone i know admires her--NOT for her pop trash--but for the songs like these that she sings.
katy perry is one of few musicians that i respect and admire in this day and age. that "lesbian-lusting loser" is clearly far more of a caring human being than you are.

bigredscowboy and I debated on whether or not homosexuality is a sin, after I posted a comment in reply to puppypuppylove on that issuse. After reading all the comments from the begining I decided to delete my comments, thinking that we should of had our debate privetly.I made a poor choice, for debating the isssue, I felt, made the gospel about Jesus less clear, which is that we are all sinners but, God gave His Son as payment for our sins, to give life to those who believe in Jesus Christ.

@jenningsbradley70 I'm not mad either. I really want you (and everyone) to believe in something, but would prefer that you (and all) are informed. For every conservative theologian who believes that homosexuals are going to hell there are theologians with just as much (if not more) education arguing that this position is flawed. Reading from both perspectives is more efficacious at creating unity in the body of Christ than delineating the "other" as "sinner." PS: This is not a personal attack
