Sure, what he's doing is LEGAL, but is it MORAL? If his primary goal is to make as much money for himself as he can it will hurt the sport in the end and turn it to trash. If his primary goal is to promote and grow and nuture the sport of mma it would be much better for the sport, the fighters, the fans, and ultimately better for Dana too. It's not like he should suffer, but if he could deal with a LITTLE less so the fighters get a LITTLE more it would be much better morally and for the sport.
First of all, the way the business is run is a seperate question from whether or not mma it's self is moral. But I'll answer your question. If the beating happens in the context of a controlled and organised sport with willing participants and safety rules and referees etc, then yes it sure as hell is morally ok to beat someone up. That however is a red herring, it has nothing to do with the MORAL question of how the business is run and how the fighters are paid.

I looked into it and the fighters no matter who deserver about $300 000 for just going into the ring because they make about $200 000 000 a year and that not counting the other bonuses..they should also be more lose on the fighter promoting other things that don;t involve UFC.

You see guys like De La Hoya making $52 million in one fight (against Mayweather). Then you see the top paid UFC figher of all time barely making $1 million per fight. UFC is earning over $200 million a year and about $30 million just in PPV for EACH event. Tito is right, the fighers are getting pimped. Sure, what he's doing is LEGAL, but is it MORAL? If his primary goal is to make as much money for himself as he can it will hurt the sport in the end and turn it to trash. If his primary goal is to promote and grow and nuture the sport of mma it would be much better for the sport, the fighters, the fans, and ultimately better for Dana too. It's not like he should suffer, but if he could deal with a LITTLE less so the fighters get a LITTLE more it would be much better morally and for the sport.

First of all, the way the business is run is a seperate question from whether or not mma it's self is moral. But I'll answer your question. If the beating happens in the context of a controlled and organised sport with willing participants and safety rules and referees etc, then yes it sure as hell is morally ok to beat someone up. That however is a red herring, it has nothing to do with the MORAL question of how the business is run and how the fighters are paid.

chuck liddel started out on low money. once he won alot of fights and became popular he signed a new contract to get more money because he knew he was worth it. you can't just go round asking for $50,000 increases every time you fight, you sign a contract and have to wait it out before you can negotiate a higher price.
jardine made more than just $14,000, he had sponsorship deals and other endorsements, he probably made more from sponsors than he did to fight.

The reason they keep signing the contracts with UFC is because there aren't any other MMA organizations that can compete with UFC at the moment. So there's more security. But that doesn't mean they're getting the deal they deserve, it just means there aren't many other options.

Hes obviously givin fighters the shortstick on the payday so he can save money for himself so his brand wont die he thinks thats a smart idea lol well see how smart he is when his fighters start walkin out and going to new organizations that pay better.

Man, the top end fighters dont need mo money, but i mean the guys gettin 3 grand a fight are sacraficing so much. At least have the low end fighters in UFC make a living insteed of workin 2 jobs
