  • damn... nice voice :)

  • just saying, next time you get a guitar, when you change the strings get wood cleaner to clean the neck. because the neck on that guitar is like ruined, but very good cover anyways

  • you remind me of Wye Oak

  • angelic voice

  • I am in love with you.

  • Wow, you can do really low notes for a woman, amazing cover and amazing voice too. What's your voice type? It's really comfortable, not too many women with this vocal range.

  • i prefer this to the original

  • i love your voice

  • Good cover, but on the little thumb-nail thingy I thought it was a guy with goofy sideburns lol. No offense. ; /

  • Amazing.....seriously. I love you!

  • You are beautiful. Great cover.

  • @fbaraglia Thank you :)...

  • perhaps Elliot was just singing about how it is ironic that he uses the liquor Christian Brothers to drown out his distaste for bible thumpers in particular and fake people in general.

  • @Joshallen06 Perhaps...That's the beauty of music, anyone can interpret a meaning for a song however fits them.

  • @thenameszeppelin art in general... not only music. that`s the beauty of it.

  • I wanna do lesbian things with your voice. haha. I mean, amazing cver. I love Elliott. This is one of my favorite songs to sing. great job. you're amazing.<3

  • @PrincessSnapple Umm...I'm uncomfortable with that.lol :P Thanks though! ^.^

  • Thank you

  • this song is about the liquor, not christians. at least thats what i got from it

  • @trilobite3339 I'm sure Elliott was talking about the liquor...that's just how the song spoke to me.

  • so authentic, love it

  • Your expressiveness is truly authentic. I don't know your motivation behind this song but you seem to really mean it. By the way I learned this song from your video; thanks!

  • @johnnypruitt This song speaks to me in that some Christians will completely ignore someones cries for help or some type of internal problem, and hide it by being "Christianly" Like the line says, "Fake concerns is what's the matter man, and you think I ought to shake your mother fu*king hand." They aren't real in their concerns for the person, because they have other motives for witnessing to them. I think Elliot here is trying to say, I'm fine the way I am, don't judge me. Love me, for me.

  • this is really good, great job(:

  • holy shit your voice....magical

  • @LofiCactus86 Thank you very much :) you're too sweet

  • a very hard song to play...hats off...btw, one of Elliott's best, I think

  • Nice performance! Cheers from San Francisco!

  • nice :D

  • All the chords sounds almost perfect except that last one at the top! She's got the tuning. Could be the most accurate cover of this song yet. Except that one chord. Thanks so much for sharing I love it!

  • Wow, thank you for sharing, that was beautiful

  • @mcfatty007 Thanks :) I do what I can

  • I'm now convinced yours is more authentic than mine- so please forgive my faux pas. There's a version here that's like what you're doing, but with more accuracy on those chords I mentioned. Check out quotecaptainbadass doing it - it really sounds right- the bass line keeps descending even as the chords ascend, until the last chord in the progression. You'll see (hear) what I mean. It'll be a fairly minor change for you. The key's low for you, tho. Did you pick this up yourself, by ear? Great job

  • @justintoast It's quite alright, haha. I think anyone who does a cover kind of puts their own feel to it. I don't believe mine is more authentic than yours, I used tabs for the most part. I've played the song in a few different ways, with/without the capo, dropD, dropC, ect. And it seems that this is the only version that fits my voice. But I'll check that guy out, correct and re-record it. I've been trying to figure out Satellite but can't get it down. Such a beautiful song though.

  • @thenameszeppelin I figured out 'Satellite' relatively easily with an open tuning- DADF#AD,

  • @justintoast thanks for the help!!! it never sounded right with just a half drop

  • @justintoast Thanks again, I really appreciate the help :)

  • Second thoughts: I worked this song out with the drop D- Capo 1, and I seem to recall comparing notes with others on this, but most of the chord voicings you use sound SO authentic, and in at least one live video it looks like Elliott is playing like you, and no capo. Coupla notes missing from those last two chords, I think, but you have a real feel for it.. LOVE the album, too. I play 'Satellite', and 'I Better Be Quiet Now' from Figure 8, and 'Angeles', Rose Parade, and some others. Cheers

  • Thank you for this.

  • Holy shit! That was damn near flawless and the likeness in the sounds of both your guitar and your voice to Elliott's is extraordinary. I am a stickler and generally critical, but that was just an incredible replication of the track and I applaud you!

  • @Geoffnet Oh my gosh, thank you so much! :D

  • wow. this moved me. raw and emotional yet chill at the same time. much like elliott himself =) cool cover. what's your fav es tune? i really like happiness.

  • @psychosomattic Wow, to compare my voice to ES, that means so much to me! :D I really couldn't say what my favorite song is by him, but his self titled album is by far my favorite.. But either Southern Belle or Single File would be my favorite songs off that album. Thanks again :)

  • i love it... your voice is very chill.. please do more... as much as you can! ^___^

  • @liracul I will certainly try! :D

  • Nice cover, I really liked the vocals, I thought you captured the essence of the song quite nicely. If I had to give criticism I'd say that you hit a few bum notes, but I'm not going to hate on you because of that...

  • Mostly good- there are a couple of wrong chords in the primary repeated progression- the last two, to be exact- the bass continues DOWN a step, while the top note steps up again. Nice voice, and feel for the song- just find those two chords and you'll have it. Easier to play with a drop-D tuning and capo I, as I believe Elliott did.

  • @justintoast Alright, thanks man. I will take that advice to heart and re-learn it as Elliott plays it. Thanks for your input, it is greatly appreciated.

  • \m/

  • @esad182 \m/ :D

  • Very good. You've got a good voice. You could maybe use a bit more practice, but even so, this is one of the better ES covers I've seen. You got that whispery quality down.

  • @Nuklearman Oh I'm fully aware of needing more practice.lol I'm a smoker so the whisperiness works well I suppose. But thank you kindly :)

  • your voice is beautiful.

  • @silentway74 Thank you very much :)...

  • not too shabby

  • @stackis Thank you :) comments, criticism? By the by, I enjoyed your cover of Twilight. Very beautiful and comforting.
