I have got to say, there is not to blame the poster, it is just an opinion on how to dance tango. Im a dancer, ive seen many styls .. many different teaching methods, and have danced alot over the world. There is just different ways to dance tango !! I prefer a more free way and not this traditional version of it nor a fake passioned styl. I think the best way to express music through movement is to be urself !!

just for the record, this IS how you do the ocho in argentine tango. If you are a teacher and you disagree, you shouldnt be teaching. if you are a student, then you probably have been taught a more americanized version. Or as i like to call it "watered down" version. these are argentine dancers in the video. i would think that they would know how to dance their own dance.

Your dance teacher might be showing you his modified version or the Americanized way. Americans lead off with the left foot and others lead off with the right. Dance is open for interpretation but im against teachers saying that their way is the only way to dance. Choose your teachers wisely ad sont be afraid to question them.

thats the wrong count to argentiner tango and ochos doesnt go like that.

If you understood Argentine Tango, you'd know that there's no 'right' or 'wrong' way; just different ways. This way is good for beginners.
