I grew up singing in various choirs like these. In my innocence I could care less who was what! All I knew was I loved 2 sing, Jesus was Lord & I enjoyed praising! & 2 this day none of us have heaven's or Hell's list to put any1 on, although its clear we either going 1 place or the other! Yes Rickey Grundy was one of rev James Cleveland musicians back in the day he also had the Rickey Grundy choral. Many of his songs were real nice. Jeffery lavalley wrote rev 19 and other songs both talented musicians. Some of Rickey Grundy songs are on YouTube. Ricky Dillard got his style of directing from Jeffery lavalley.
I love this song I listen to it night and day. Until 20 min ago I thought the piano player was a lady until I noticed the pants. Had to play it over and over then I saw the mustache. I said to my son women didn't wear pants back in the days especially in a Penacostal church. I played it again and realized he is a man. My son thought at first the reason why she before we knew he was in the bathroom and they started lol. I love his energy. This truly is a gospel jam.

@natejizzle I think it's always worthy to call sin out in the church. It's okay not to talk about it if they're sitting out in the audience receiving the word, but if they're up in the church proclaiming or singing the word of God, it should be called out. That goes for everybody not just gays.

Keith Pringle was just in Las Vegas this weekend for the 2nd Annual Gospel Fest. He also sang at a couple of local churches yesterday. He did a great job! Praise God he's been kept...
I can't get enough of this song. When you truely think about the love of God, you can completely understand why and how Jeffery LaValley dance like he do. That song broke a yoke over his life or something cause you can tell just how much the words to the song meant to him. Praise Him!

I was just a babe in Christ when I first heard this song. The beginning of the contemporary movement. Now the songs have gotten too far to the left. Songs like this make me proud of the time I grew up. I wish that more children could listen to music like this, as I know it would touch their souls and perhaps instill a fear of God into them - which is obviously absent in many of our youth and young adults of today. When you have no fear of God, what's left to fear? Absolutely nothing - and we have to change that, as best we can.

back in the day the combat choirs were Keith and the PCC (and them greers), Lonnie Morgan, Double Rock, Patrick Henderson and the West Angeles Sanctuary Choir and yeah theres been gays in the choir forever and I dont have a problem if theyve acknowledged that its a sin and are in deliverance!!!! By the way RIckey Grundy was the baddest and I mean a beast of a piano player and way way underrated, seemed like he couldnt get out of everybodys shadow

Look @ the majority of these choirs on here and you will see @ least 5 of them in every choir, some choirs have more. just pray for them cats thats all you can do . their sexuality is their own issue it wont get you into heaven . let them go to hell on their own

@natejizzle I think it's always worthy to call sin out in the church. It's okay not to talk about it if they're sitting out in the audience receiving the word, but if they're up in the church proclaiming or singing the word of God, it should be called out. That goes for everybody not just gays.

I can't get enough of this song. When you truely think about the love of God, you can completely understand why and how Jeffery LaValley dance like he do. That song broke a yoke over his life or something cause you can tell just how much the words to the song meant to him. Praise Him!

wow, they dont make gospel songs like this anymore. when i was around 13 yrs old we sang this in my church choir. i must say our piano player @ da time darryl j. played just like rickey grundy....no joke. i wish he still played for us, but he had to move on to other things. i know one thing....im 34 yrs old young now and im gonna suggest to our choir that we revisit this song again to sing.

I miss hearing choirs sing like this. Songs like this can fill you up when you're empty... Some choir directors need to stop teaching their favorite songs and start ministering to the congregation as a whole! Strike the match and then let Gods fire burn!

@mspraize & Ayktd. You guys are right. During the time I was growing up as a teen in the 80's songs like this gave me the inspiration to keep going. I was just a babe in Christ when I first heard this song. The beginning of the contemporary movement. Now the songs have gotten too far to the left. As a musician I'm doing the best I can to bring back these songs. Please pray that I continue to strengthen the young and old thru this kind of music along with Rev. Nicks.

Songs like this make me proud of the time I grew up. I wish that more children could listen to music like this, as I know it would touch their souls and perhaps instill a fear of God into them - which is obviously absent in many of our youth and young adults of today. When you have no fear of God, what's left to fear? Absolutely nothing - and we have to change that, as best we can.
