  • Even though the ref had poor positioning, it's not really their job to "get out of the way". Players have to be aware of them as much as opposing players.

  • Funny that all the people commenting have never worn the stripes, we get in the way. Get your head up.

  • @magicsuperman13 amen brother

  • Mehh it happens, people. Try officiating an ice hockey game, its harder than you people make it seem!

  • Surprised the dumbass Boston announcers didn't give out his home address and telephone number...

  • ahaha

  • haha what does this boob have to do to get fired from nesn?

  • @0531jos Hey Dipshit, hes the best announcer in the NHL, go fuck you mom you piece of shit!!!

  • refree dan o'rourke...so strange to see an irish guy screwing the bruins....

  • "referee 2 minutes - interference"

  • @dafoomie shut the fuck up bitch 1 star u fucker referee

  • the score was 5-1. come on ref!

  • Can someone explain to me how this rule works? Cause I'm sure this refs intent wasn't to get in the way...it happens and I'm sure no one would have thought anything had he waved to goal off. But where in the rule book does it say he has to wave it off??

  • haha

  • Fucking ref

  • Get over it. Shit happens. If the referee's are so bad, you guys should start refereing and make it up to the NHL.

  • @brasszebra

most of us would do a better job. nhl refs are nearly as bad as NBA refs; even mlb umps are better, as are nfl refs. so basically nhl refs are the 2nd worst, to the nba haha

  • @amn22492 So when will we be seing you on the ice.

  • i was theree, if you stop at exactly 0:44- 0:45 im in there somewhere(: lmao

  • This is absolutely the refs fault. There's a reason you don't see referees following the play down the middle of the ice, and you just witnessed why.

  • it isnt the refs fault, he is supposed to stand where he was, and 99% the defender would have NOT turned into his own side like a fucking retard.

  • @quezcatol are you fucking serious, this is 100% the refs fault. if there two skaters skating towards you you get to the boards, you dont jump in front them. dumbass

  • ever played hockey?

You dont go into the middle when being the last man and chased.

  • @quezcatol i mean even if wideman wen tto the outside the ref would still be putting himself inbetween wideman and cheechoo, which he shouldnt do

  • what the hell are you talking about the puck was chipped into the zone and he was skating back to set up a play

  • Fail :P

  • on a referee course they said that refs shall be seen as like a dead object, in any cases of situations like this, we refs says like:

"it´s not our fault to be in the way";)

and I am actually on the referee´s side, cause he dont know if the will go to the left or right =)

  • he shouldnt be there in the first case, on the side or behind the goal.

  • what a fool!

  • only way cheechoo can score

  • At least the ref was being a team player...

  • lol. Honestly, as a ref, I wouldn't have complained if Wideman went right through me. Dumb. But makes me happy.

  • Funny part is it looks like he did it on purpose HAHA!

  • @SlimLPShady i bet he did

  • That's brutal. Good for Cheechoo, but he doesn't deserve that, all cheers to Wideman and Rask, they got screwed over by the ref.

  • give #9 an A

  • That's 6 bud

  • ALRIGHT!

  • go sens go ;)

  • this was TOTAL bs. i thought refs were taught the most important thing was to stay out of the way! wow. that was disgusting... thanks dafoomie, i want to watch this wheneve i want to break something. :)

the bruins had some momentum at this point, and although a comeback was unlikely, this ruined it completely. wideman shouldve blasted through him and fought the mandatory suspension...

    GO BRUINS

...this sums up how the refs have gone against the bruins of late really tbh... ughhh

  • sens already destroyed you at that point.

  • @SlimLPShady

the bruins have come back from down 3 before with under 10 minutes; this season no less. The Bruins had the momentum at this point since their goal, so anything is possible. You cearly did not watch the game and are just looking at the score... what a fan you are, I can tell.

    Go bruins!

  • one that know's the sens wouldnt give up a lead like that. rarely and i was bussing to school getting ready for my exams and getting the radio station on at the same time so i can listen to the game while doing my exams...so i did the best i could not skipping school.

  • The Bruins are a good team probably getting the cup before next decade but this game was better played by the sens you can have bad games and i guarantee boston getting the next game back.

  • We didn't have Savard, Sturm, Ference, Begin. -.-

  • all sens fans are like that.

  • @amn22492

It wasn't under 10 min it was under one and half minutes

    Go bruins

  • @pittsburghpenguin18

haha I know i watched the game... I said 10 minutes because I do believe under 10 minutes includes under 1.5 minutes; and this game was around the 10 minute mark when this ref fucked up, despite the clueless quezcatol's "ignorant-of-life" statement somehow defending the ref...

  • Aren't we like 19-4 against you guys?

  • Wideman would have fucked it up some way either way....that made is a waste of space. He now atleast has the ref to blame it on!

  • What if this had been a close game?

  • yeah the ref started skating to that side, saw the linesman there and realized he should be on the other side of the ice. its not like it changed the game or anything, the B's pretty much sucked. WHERE'S THE KOVALCHUK TRADE, CHIARELLI??

  • I think chiarelli is hesitant because Kovy might be heading to the KHL next season...

  • Yeah its possible, but I really think that this is a way for the players to draw more money out of their NHL teams. They know the NHL is desperate for audiences, so the KHL offers higher salaries to the players (who would never play there otherwise) and the players are acting like they are interested so they can get more money to stay in the NHL.

  • Senators goal scored by number 41 Jonathan Cheechoo assisted by the ref

  • edwards hit the nail on the head. just... incompetence.

we were well on our way to losing that game, we didn't need any extra help! *bangs head against wall*

  • may have had a slim chance of coming back. they were getting some life back and they came back against the islanders from 3 down with 8 minutes left.

they most likely wouldn't have, but that goal sealed the deal

  • STUPID FUCKEN ZEBRAS CAN'T GET OUT OF THE WAY

not like it matters bruins were gonna lose either way

  • that was just terrible

I wonder if the ref's wife knows that he screwed us.

  • ref was not in a good position he shouldnt have been there but he could have called some thing like ref interference

  • And given himself a two-minute minor ;)

  • lol

  • that's complete trash

  • Ugh!!!! What type of idiot allows himself to interfere in the defensemen's way with the puck?! Not a good day for the Bruins

    >:((
