@RobKuyper Although I tend to agree with you, actually there did tend to be "gay disco" back in the day. I know that a lot of straight discos didn't seem to play much that wasn't on the radio, as opposed to gay discos, that played a heck of a lot of songs that you never heard on radio and not in straight clubs either. It was great to go out and hear music that you hadn't gotten sick of hearing all week on the radio.

@RobKuyper Also I remember a Japanese couple that would come to the gay disco club I attended a lot back then, they danced the ballroom dancing to the disco music, and were VERY good at it. Everyone would just leave the dance floor and watch them. They told us that they liked coming there for the music, because they didn't play the same thing in the straight clubs they went to. They loved what was considered "gay disco."

i love cerrone and i love his story...he drove his father mad with music...i was the same but my dad is a phd in music so it was ok lol...the thing i admire most is the bass playing..ive been playing bass since the 80s and im 36...70s disco playing is so much fun because its like scales with a purpose..its a total work out to because you have to be in shape and have stamina to play like that..nothing on the radio right now is much of a strecth with bass compared to the 70s even some 80s.
