Even now this lovely man doesn't seem to realise: The Innes Book of Records was one of the most compelling pieces of TV ever made, quite unique in its blend of video, parody, silliness and a kind of baffled innocence that gave it depth and surprise. He only alludes to it in passing here and while I don't denigrate all the other things he's done, it remains a crime against culture that The Innes Book of Records has never been released on DVD.
What a discovery! Could you possibly tell me where some of the interview material came from? I run several pages about Neil on MySpace and Googlepages. I'm a very dedicated fan and just met him at The Fest for Beatles Fans in August. Really great compilation. Thanks.
