i like how bands like gorefest and bolt thrower had a sense of groove to them, they didnt play blazing fast constantly like other death metal bands at the time, they didnt over use blast beats and double bass rolls, i always thought a sinister groove is way more punishing than playing extremely fast, i think that is what makes dying fetus so good.

@salgamripper No, it's not a fact. 'Hate' is newspeak for the soft-totalitarians, the politically correct mob that legislate instead of adding to discussion. The lyrics of this album is just as bad as any 14/88-spewing album. It's just political indoctrination. That can be fine, but finding it 'true' and even judging the music through it just seems like an abomination of a judgement. Like throwing dogs in dumpsters if they're named Terry, and cuddling with those named Fred.
There's not many, but there are a few good newer death metal bands, they are just more technical, but the best death metal was definally from the 90's.
@BrutalEpicMetal hmm i agree and dissagree, music is always evolving, producing different sounds, some better, some not. as you said the newer bands have gotten more technical, which i personally like. burning the masses is decent. one of my favs right now is blotted science( instrumental technical death metal) check them out and see if you like them.
@MasterDucks Oh no, I love technical death metal, and I know both those bands, I have one of blotted science's cd's, Ron Jarzombeck is a beast, and so is alex webster, and the drummer (dont remember his name. lol.)
I just like classic death metal way more, check out the band gorod, they're amazing, they're technical death metal.
