@Blastaar7 If you've watched the movie (I dont know if you have) the Mach gets wrecked @ the Fuji Helixicon race. Speed gets sabotaged by other racers during the event.
@Blastaar7 It actually happens (the Helexicon race) during the second Speed & Royalton scene when Royalton learns that Speed isn't gung ho joining his team. (just so you don't have pour through the entire movie to find it)
this is like one of my most favorite scenes ever of any movie. I hope they make a sequel. BTW DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG THAT STARTS AT 3:48?!?! ITS NOT IN THUNDERHEAD AND ITS MY FAVORITE PART WHEN HE'S TIED WITH REX BUT LETS OFF.
@UrselfAlways pretty sure the Mach 5 is only used for cross country/rally driving. This is the Mach 4? or the original Mach 6 before they build the newer one in the end.
@limebread he's using the mach 5, its more suited to the surface of this track, there's a video description of a number of the cars in the movie in the dvd extras. so he's driving the mach 5 here, the ghost of rex is driving the mach 4, and the mach 6 is used later on
@selkirkswift What car is he driving the rally in? Because that one is 2 seater. While the track cars have all been one seater. I thought the Mach 5 was the one in the rally which has 2 seats.
Fun Fact: The first announcer is played by Peter Fernandez, the actor who wrote and voiced the original US Speed Racer!!

@Blastaar7 the mach 6 in the beginning of the film gets wrecked, and towards the end of the film they build a new mach 6.

@limebread The one he is driving in this race is the Mach 6.. The Mach 5 is the road car which he uses in the rally..
