  • Scooby is my new hero.

  • Scooby is 48 yrs old :P

  • these videos are so helpful thanks alot scooby! i'm gonna start this workout tomorrow!

  • 0:33 - Scooby FTW!

  • @Scooby1961

    Soccer being leg workout?

that doesnt make your legs stronger

you need to do squat, stiff leg deadlift, deadlift, :D

  • Stiff Deadlift??? If you're going to criticize his videos, at least use propr terminology. There are Russian and Romanian Deadlifts. Russian are more commonly referred to as "Straight legged". Romanian being the bent. And the most effective form of working out for teens, in my opinion, is anything high endurance and supersetted. Well done Scooby. Make more videos like this and stay away from attacking specific sports. ;)

  • @NASMCertifiedOkie

at first, in what i wrote did i criticize?

i just pointed out that if you exercise to gain muscle, soccer, basketball or others like it wont do it.

and thanks for correcting me on the russian / bulgarian

  • people need to try and make their own videos and get as many subscribers and views and then talk trash, and I still haven't seen anyone as good as scooby soo..yah...please stop with the criticizing(not you NASM)

  • Ya know Scooby, everytime I watch one of your videos, it gets me pumped for my workout! You are the man!

  • @AimTyrael He stated at the begining of the video that you should find a sport you enjoy such as football or basketball which onvolves a lot of running and jumping to excercise your legs as a teen. ;)

Great video again Scoob, you made the excercises accessible to many with a great use of improvisation of everyday and household objects :) I should start this week and I hope to get 'ripped' in the near future, hopefully I'll make it to your site :D

  • hi scooby

do the Squat Thrust Exercises for 20 min is good for leg workout before the teen workout that you did it in these video

by the way you the best

  • Scooby whats about legs???!!!

    and back?

  • nice hat

  • 4:26 lawl, you got a sunburn pretty bad, i thought you just had a really bad tan

  • Oh, I've been bad :( I'm working out trying to lose weight and, right at this moment I'm drinking a monster and eating a reeses cup!!! OMG! I'm stopping right now!!! I WORKOUT DAILY AND do my CARDIO every other day, and eat vegetarian except for some protein sources.

  • Scooby has got to be THE best and one of the most wisest bodybuilders out there!

I'm between the ages of 10 and 17 and these exercies have given me real results! I strongly recommend them to any teenager who is wanting to get a good physique! :)

    Thanks Scooby!

  • Thanks Scooby! i was hoping you would come out with a video for teens, it seems like teens are the most interested in working out and being 17 i enjoy it a ton! i have studied a ton of info about working out, and everything you said is the total truth. I also heard that teens can't get incredibly big like a 20 year old can...is this true? Thanks for the Video i will be sure to lift slower and hopefully see even better results than what i have already been seeing.

  • everytime you do cruches you make sure to say feet flat on the floor, well for football the coach makes us out our feet in the air, does this do us any good?

  • @partyboy10210 it really stretches your hamstrings and builds muscle there too

  • Can I ask whether must I do these exercises 3 times in a row or must I go through the 7 exercises first and then repeat it until 2 times?

  • SCOOBY IS SO BUFF ... no homo

  • running and jumping is NOT sufficient lower body work, do sqauts and deadlifts. Proper form won't leave you injured or stunt your growth

  • Aahahahaha! that fart was priceless x)

  • @ovaPiona

    Ur a Dumb Ass

    Scoobbyys awsome

And we actually have brains stop sucking cock and

listen to scooby hes the man =D

  • I dont think its true that you start seeing results after 6 months or a year. As a beginner you will most likely se results after only 2-4 trips to the gym. Your body isnt use to working out, and it will respond well to that. When i started working out, i could see big results after just two trips to the gym!

  • he was probably talking about high expectation results like pumped muscles and such. After 2-4 trips to the gym you'll see results, but will be more like a general firmess.

  • really really good work scooby, this and more videos has helped me ALOT! even thought i started with exercising and building muscle earlier i have learned alot about nutrition and stuff, thank you very much and keep up the good work!! those people insultng are certainly not getting any stronger =)

  • Why are there certain people trolling scooby's page???

He clearly is doing this video to HELP us teens out.

Instead of mindlessly typing insults into youtube-comments, I'd like to see you guys grow the balls to make a weight-training video!

GREAT video Scooby, this helped me A LOT, 5*'s.

  • my top layer of abs is really ripped, but the middle and bottum arent as much, any tips?

  • leg lifts

  • its obvious why hes shirtless most fitness teachers do their exercises slowly to show how the muscles are contracting

  • lol just to tell you scooby 14 and 15 year olds arent retards we know what cardio is you dont have to call it "play".... and we dont find farts funny!

  • was talking to the 10 years old maybe :)

  • good workout

  • DUDE FUCK U

  • scooby you are a fag

  • i think that's not the point in this video. it's about teen workout, not about scooby. i bet if you had these muscles, you wouldn't wear a t-shirt. but i agree, this hat a bit strange:D

  • Why is he always shirtless and why does he always wearing a gay hat with hard nipples? Please explain

  • what about protein? i am 14 years old and what do you think about it?

    please response

  • I think the excerises are well shown and is a variety of them. But none of the excerises can train the legs, so.. a worked-out upper body and thin legs, would nt look good :s teens shouldnt work out until around the age of 15, I guess this is because of maturity, not because of body muscles. noone should be certainly working out under the age of 13, they are likely to cause injuries at this age or under. This isnt a negative response to the video at all, just saying it isnt completly correct.

  • You're wrong. Weight-lifting has been used with success at Boston Children Hospital. The physiology Avery Faigenbaum Ph.D. does a weight-lifting program with children as young as 6. To data not a single study has ever been published demonstrating injuried in kids due to weight lifting. On the other hand the literature is full of irreversible trauma due to other sport. In fat weight-lifting puts a smaller weight load on the growing bones than soccer, basketball and gymnastics do.

  • scooby great video

  • Still need to do legs to improve athletic performance.

You also suggest football as a sport.

Scooby, cmon man, I like some of your videos, but you sound like a hypocrite in a couple of these.

  • I think he means football 'with friends' not organized where you have to have the bulking etc.

    it is 'play'

  • Great stuff! If you wear a shirt ,I think it would be a bit more comfortable. :)

  • what if i wanna build lats more than other body parts should i do them first??

  • thanks i need a good workout for surfing and this really work

  • THANKS

  • Comment removed

  • do you even train you traps? at all? like seriously?

  • finally a guy who actually encourages teens to workout THANK YOU!!!!

  • Hi Scooby!

Your videos are awsome! I'm now 16 year old. I've been lifting since my 14 birthday. One year ago i've started to workout harder. I workout every muscle group twice a week with intensity. I've never get injured. What could you advise? Can i countinue? Or i give up?

    Thank you very much.

    Excuse my english.

  • Hi my name is J.nasilai and im 16 and your very inspirational

  • @llRussianKingll sorry man but ur shoulder workout is crap

  • scoob no offense but get longer shorts

  • @wiiboy555 :D :D

  • hahaha! thank you but im really not lying, i can go in depth about what part of my shoulder is fucked up.

  • Love your workouts.

Just have one tiny question, would it be possible at 14:40 to do this sitting on a chair, stationing your elbow on the inside of your knee?

  • I've been following some of scooby's vids, they all work. I'm a teen bodybuilder and I've been getting good gains for the past couple of months. Good job with your vids scooby, if you click on my account, you'll see my recent vid on a mini workout I did. I plan to post more vids about teen bodybuilding.

  • scooby for president! lol seriously good stuff, you make people want to excersize some how lol u a beast scoob

  • Hey scooby. Your exercises are too slow. You have to do it faster because when you doing it slow, you are using up creatin phosphate before the muscle actually been worked.

  • @58Konvict totally agreed. When you workout slowly you're not pushing your muscles enough because you're b4 you are actually working them.

  • @Chaaarge

Absolutely. The muscle run out of "fuel" before it's worked. That is why you have to do it faster with greater intensity.

Just push the weight up, lower it, and push it again. That's the best way to workout.

  • @58Konvict yup. I also think that you will lose your workout focus if you think about doing it slowly and counting 2 seconds, 2 seconds...

  • @Chaaarge

Well it's a big waste of time that's for sure!

  • actually if a movement is fast you're actually using momentum and explosiveness, rather than isolated muscles and strenght assist you in the movement, meaning your muscles is being pushed a lot less than working slowly.

  • no, slower is better as it creates stronger contraction and quicker never impulses to the muscles. That's actually what strength is all about: contraction and nerve impulses.

  • @OvoPiano

    You are clueless!

What Im telling you is science and truth.

What you are telling me is a total myth.

  • no, your is not science, check a good sport physiology book and you'll see that in order to use the total strenght of your muscles you must avoid momentum which is why lifting slower is more hypetrophic but lifting fast. Even a weakling can lift an heavy weight fast, that's because he is recruiting irradiation, momentum and explosiveness but only if he lifts slowly you can really determined whether he is strong, whether is strength without momentum is up to the task

  • @OvoPiano

    yeah i hear you man..

i'm taking classes for personal training right now and they have taught us all about momentum. i used to be able to bench press 290 - 295lbs when i was training with momentum. i didn't slam my chest or anything like that but there definetly was no pause. now i pause when training with exercise and there is a significant difference! my muscles are being trained much better and i am definetly stronger..

  • how are you uploading videos longer than ten minutes? i thought youtube put a cap on videos longer than 10 minutes..

  • if you are really popular youtube lets you...

  • your great my man great video

  • great workout! cant wait for the results and to keep them! :D

  • this guy has awesome humor. and looks like he seriously knows his stuff. keep it up!

  • love this guy! funny and soooo helpful lol

  • am 16 play video games eat pizza and but a still have a 6 pack and big pecks ges am just naturally built

  • i was too... now im 20 and i cant eat pizza without gaining fat - enjoy it while you can

  • metabolism going down with age is just a myth, people just become lazier and more coach potato as they age, they lose dynamism and interests and spend their evening in front of the television. But your lean body mass, the only metabolically active part of your body, burns the same exact calories per pounds whether you're 17 or 79, this has been measured and proven.

  • @zOAndyOz

its called bieng an ectomorph im one but hpefully in the next 2 yeas i can look in the mirror and see a lean eye popping muscle mas :)

  • the fast or slow metabolism stuff is just a myth. The difference between a slow metabolism and a fast metabolism is minimal, like 80 calories at most. People who claim to eat a lot and burn a lot have been analyzed and usually the truth is really different. Some of the reasons are: they might gorge when eating outside and at dinner but usually skip breakfast or have light lunches, they burn more calories by being more active or simply very restless, they might burn more NET calories

  • the younger you are the more connected you're with your instincts and body, as people get older and conform to the miserable rat-race urban life, the more disconnected they become to their instinct. Kids who seems to eat a lot and not gain weight are just instinctively better at knowing when they're in a caloric balance, they cycle between eating a lot of eating less, skipping meals or gorging at a party. They instinctively do intermittent fasting like animals and children

  • haha the very very end "12 lb curls.. feel the burn!"

  • Every school should have a teacher like scooby

  • lmaoo was dat a real fart? if it want great facial expression lmaooo and thanks for the workout plan :P

  • HAHA thats total bullshit. First of all If that was true you would be a highly recruited football player. Second of all on your profile you say your in college and your 245 lbs. Im guessing your some keyboard warrior trying to impress kids on youtube cause your some fat 13 year old that plays halo all day

  • um maybe i HAVE A BROTHER. and no thats actually not that great of stats for a fullback. our center is bigger and faster than me, all i can do is hit lmaoo.

  • yyyeeeeaaaa suuuuurreee you do. And since you play college football like it says on your bio whats your name and what college do you go to so i can look you up???

  • haha now i can believe your 15! immature ass punk! but:

my BROTHER goes to Arizona state and plays d end,

    Toa Tuitea.

    now can you stfu haha?

  • OOOO i got it. Your brothers the football player and your the 16 year old fat kid virgin who has never had a girlfriend or any friends. O sorry that was wrong, you actually have 4 xbox live friends and youve fucked your dog.

  • HAHA kid i guarantee if i was in your face youd be crying your ass off, oh and congratz to losing your virginity to a fucking car muffler, its kinda cute cuz Arizona scouts have watched me play, sorry they dont go to your little pop warner games.

  • Yea crying, laughing my ass off cause your so fat. U think your so tough cause you can lie over the computer, when your some 13 year old keyboard warrior who tries to act tough cause hes small and fat in real life. And pop-warner? HAHA lol i dont get recruited anymore at this point cause im already commited to St.Johns university in Queens NY on a 35,000 Dollar lacrosse scholarship.

  • what are you fighting over?

  • This keyboard warrior over here "AzBombzEngineer" is trying to make up that he ia a 6'1 205 pound 16 year old with abnormal statistics. Hes really a 13 year old fat kid who plays video games all day.

  • Thanks for all the workouts Scooby. I really appricate it. It helps a hell of a lot. Following your tips and workouts has improved my results so much.

  • im 14 in 8th grade and abs is wut the girls like! follow all of his steps! i have been doing this for a month and i have a 4 pack and descent chest and biceps. SCOOBY ur a beast!

  • dude ur the best ever.. u answered all my questions i have ever had.. except for a couple which ima send mail to u

  • i just realized isnt this like a toning workout not so much a muscle gaining workout?

  • Teens CAN workout but should not do heavy lifting. This workout will prepare you for heavier workouts when your body is fully developed.

  • @SkillzKillzBR so this wont build much muscle??

  • @SkillzKillzBR coz ive been doing scoobs intermediate workout for like close to 6 months now and i wanto move to this workout coz im running low on time due to school so like will i be sore the next day after this workout?

  • Building muscle is based on your nutrition & workout. Yes you can build muscle with this routine, but you need to push yourself hard enough during the workout, as with any routine.

  • @SkillzKillzBR ha well how do you define heavy lifting? If your body is strong enough to safely lift the weight without risk of injurying or straining yourself, go for it.

  • Teen workouts are designed to be less strenuous on the body with certain exercises and high reps. As long as you remember to eat right and gradually increase the weight. This workout uses 8-15 reps. So if you pick up a weight and cannot do 8 reps with PROPER FORM, then it's too heavy. And if you can do 15 reps with PROPER FORM, then it's time to increase the weight.

  • @SkillzKillzBR thats what i said

  • the weird thing is that people believe that suddenly at 18 you're fully developed (whatever that means) and can lift what you couldn't just few days before your 18th birthday. In truth general development lasts the whole human life, big growth development might end a lot later (like at age 26) or a lot sooner (like at age 13) The 18 as the age of majority is an arbitrary concept that doesn't make any sense socially, but it does even makes a lot less sense physiologically and in sport.

  • First of all no beginner of any age, even 40 years old, should ever attempt heavy lifting. Beginners should start learning proper form with super light weights. Then they should choose weights they can lift for 8-15 reps. Only when they have been lifting for enough time to learn how to do it properly and to have improved their general resistance and body awareness, they can use heavier weights for less reps. That being said there are 16 years old powerlifters who lift 250 lbs.

  • It's not a toning workout. First of all toning doesn't exist, there' no difference between toning and muscle gaining. Muscular tone is just a residual ionic flow withing the cell membranes. Nothing else. The 8-15 reps range is still anaerobic but a good safe guideline to learn to use the appropriate weight. Once one is not a beginner anymore (it's a not a matter of age, the same thing should be suggested to 34 years old beginners) he/she can try less reps

  • sorry for double posting. umm im 13 almost 14. I do benchpresses and curls for my workout and this ab workout. i put weight on my back then basically do a situp but sitting up straight.

for bencpresses i benchpress 90 pounds. 10 times 20 sec break 10 times again then 20secs and 10 times again.

curls. 5 pounds each arm. 10 times, 20 sec break 3 times. for each arm.

for the ab workout i put 35 pounds on my back and do 20-20-20.

is that a good workout? please reply as soon as possible.

  • So you do a 5 pound curl? lol and you wait 20 seconds every 10 times you do it? for a 5 year old yeah you should do 20 pound curls

  • Oh...damn.. alright thanks man ill try that

  • dude i just tried out 20 pound curls, i can still do 10 curls then wait 20 secs and do it again 3 times. Thanks :D

  • Thats pretty much flat out terrible.

  • Then what do you think is a good workout?

  • thats pretty good if your 13 and can bench 90, im 14 i can bench 100, although i never tried benching any more than 100. i have 20 lb dumbells also i do. i only do the maximum i can do in my workouts, no point of doin a 50 lb bench 20 times if i can do 100 about 3 times with a 20 second break.

  • your awesome man

  • Question about cardio. What should i eat right after the same protein shake i have after weights (Whey Frozen Banana , Blueberries 1/2 cup of milk , 1/2 cup water and honey)

Or should i have like a baked potato coz i heard high GI foods are better post cardio.

  • Comment removed

  • would any one recommend that perfect pushup? Does it actually work better then regular pushups?

  • will i wake up sore the next morning from this workout?

  • you should. If you don't then you must be doing something wrong.

  • Could anyone tell me what a tennis albow is?

Is that what Scooby has? :)

  • its when you swing your elbow to much and gets sore bucause of the acid build up

  • How many seconds rest do i take between each excersise or do i go straight to flys from pushups for example no rest??

And are you SURE this workout will work for me im 16 and ive been doing you intermediate workout plan but im going back to school so im limited on time.

  • Your probably not done growing yet, so this workout probably will work great for you.

  • Comment removed

  • thanks alot man that really helps

  • ite thanks for the vid snoopy, ima start doing this workout tommorow. Got to buy some dung bells and pushup bars first, and a pull up bar. Been savin up money and now i have somethin to buy it for, ill take some before and after pics too, see ya in a year man haha.

  • @ApocalypseBeats Snoopy? dung bells? lol

  • meant to say dumbbells hahahah

  • Haha ohh man. Snoopy and dung bells... +1 for hilarity.

  • I don't have any dumbells or any possibility to du pull-ups, how am I going to replace those exorcises?

  • for pull-ups, find a playground, haha

theres no way around buying a set of dumbbells tho.

  • he looks hot in a strange way

  • No! Whiskers!

  • For doing the dumbell stuff on the ground, what happens if the weight of one arm doesnt match the weight of the other? Like when one arm is stronger than the other and you want more resistance for it at the same time.

  • hello Scooby can u upload a video

    on how to jog properly

  • I did this workout for five days only and my pecs became bigger! I am also able to see a little bit of my six pack.

  • @BlackElitePwnage

No, you are just using different lighting.

You don't build a visible amount of muscle in under a week...

  • Comment removed

  • is it ok if u take like a drink wen ur taking ur breather

  • @andyeff1

    of water?

    Yes.

  • Jack and coke between set's helps

  • GREAT VID.!

  • how many times every 2 days ?

  • Is 3 hours on a bmx enough cardio?

I'm usually standing when i peddle my bmx. i never sit

  • Should I continue with exercises next day, if I feel pain?

My abs are hurting, like my triceps...should i continue doing push-ups, crunches and dumbbell presses and flies ?

I hope you will answer me scooby1961 ...

Also, i have watched a lot of your videos, and your explanation of everything is just perfect...you say what to do, what not to do, and show it ! It's just awesome...also this 22 minutes was totally cool, i enjoyed them. It helped me a lot, thank you!

    Peace.

  • errr your sore, take one or two days off. your muscles grow while they are sire (aka pain)

  • tnx ... :)

  • The pain your experiencing is good, as long as it's not a sharp pain. It means that you're muscles are growing.

  • :) tnx ... I should stop doing the exercises day or two ? cuz i can't do more then 3 push-ups now my arms are hurting :S

  • man this guy is in good shape for being however old he is, hes probably like 50 lol, or older

  • scooby 1961... u no... he might be 48 ;-)

  • lmao, you know... I never even noticed the numbers haha

  • i do the P90X thing i keep trying an i keep burning out P90X does work im just not sure why i keep burning out ty for your time keep up the good videos it's nice to see some one cares more about fitness an less about making money off it it

  • so teens shouldn't do legs

  • Not through training..

Teens should train their legs through sports like soccer, football, skating, running and whatever..

  • the cardovascal is a big word, patronising much? :p

  • @lozza112211

Ikr? I was like "I never knew what cardiovascular exercise meant till just now". LMAO

  • FLAMER!

  • IM 13 5'11" at 140 pound. Somewhat skinny should i just do a normal 30 min workout and eat healthy im just trying to bulk up for ice hockey.

  • You can only do one thing: Workout 40 AND EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT ALOT! after that

  • i am 14 years old i am using 15 kg for arm exercise . and i do 500 push ups every day it very good for the back muscle

  • lol, poor whiskers :p

    great vid :)
