  • Brilliant!, Thank you!

  • The 'key' is called a cam pin. I know a lot about rifles. Great video.

  • @M4A1556mmcarbine Hey, I learned something new today!

  • lol good vid

  • @Thatuptownguy - Do you want gas piston or DI? DI I like Noveske or Daniel Defense. Gas piston personally I'd get an LWRC.

  • could you name a few good brands for ar 15s im looking to get one soon. Also and extras like grips or optics that you would go with?

  • what is the brand of your rifle?

  • @reaper699tx It's a rifle that I built using a Doublestar lower receiver and a Del-ton M4 rifle kit.

  • Good video my Friend...but I have to of course respond with the following....

    Target On..E1

  • @ETHRON1 Coolness!

  • Awesome video! I'm currently saving up for my first AR, and found it very informative. Thanks for sharing!

  • @heffe67 Glad to be of assistance!

  • Very Nice sir!!

  • Fantastic video. Thank you so much. Incredibly easy to follow instructions. I bought my AR about a month ago and haven't really shown it much love because I just don't know what the hell I'm doing to be honest. I'll be breaking it down tomorrow thanks to you.

The instructions on how the charging handle and the bolt works was superbly explained. Thanks again. You're a lifesaver.

  • @megaromaniac Glad to be of assistance!

  • Nice video

  • @Bmxalldaym2552 Thanks!

  • I've actually had an Ar for some time and know how to use it, but I stumbled across your video and actually ended up watching it just based on how great of a job you did and how great your delivery was. Thanks for taking the time to share your video.

  • @mixedsignalsmusicorg Thanks for watching!

  • Great video

  • @MsGlock30 Thanks!

  • If I could I would but, unfortunately in Australia we can't have semi auto's anymore, don't let them take yours bro. I first fired the M16A1 back in the army thirty odd years ago, wasn't impressed if I remember correctly, then twenty five years later, working for the police, I fired the M16A2 and yeah, impressed, great rifle. You guys don't know how lucky you are. Happy New Year!

  • @gragrn Thanks, and Happy New Year to you too!

  • My bolt is really tight in my colt yours looked like it came out no problem.

  • @tfoshohoe If the bolt's clean, then all it'll take is some breaking in which means more shooting!

  • thanks for the vid, am about to get my spikes tactical in a week so this vid will help me out alot..

  • @smokeu600 You're welcome!

  • The rear take down pin on my AR-15 won't come out without me having to use something to push it through. I can't just use my fingers. Should I be worried?

  • @sgonz1981 There shouldn't be any concern. It's just a tight fit. As long as everything functions on the rifle, you're good to go!

  • very nice vid. A+++ any on hand guns?

  • @ncresr66 I'll have to consider that one.

  • cam pin

  • Thanks for the lesson, not all of us are familiar with the platform.

    Keep 'em coming!

  • Good job on the video!

  • @TheBroncosism Thank you!

  • great video bro...THANKS

  • @mrmezmureyz Thanks for watching!

  • Great video man! I don't currently have an AR but I feel like when I finally get one I'll be an expert on it with the amount of video's there are about this rifle. Keep it up man, and God bless.

  • @SnareFreak04 I truly appreciate that.

  • Make it all look so easy. Nice and simple.

  • @imgaryk That was my goal. Glad that you liked it!

  • Great video, thanks for the info. Take care buddy.

  • @ewtoutdoors Thank you!

  • Excellent as always Sir! --- Would you clean mine while you're at it?

    ;^{)>

  • @AppalachianFreedom I'll have to clean mine first. LOL!

  • Clear and simple aousome.

  • @2221bart You're welcome!

  • Thank you - A ++++++++ !!!!!

  • Nicely done!

  • @TNGlockman Thanks!

  • FYI the piece that connects the bolt to the carrier is call a "CAM" Just thought you'd like to know!!1 Nice video!!

  • @IIIIIGunzIIIII Ah, yes! I remember that word now. Thanks for jogging my memory!

  • @thebudgetarmory1 No worries, didnt want any trolls razzing you about proper terminology lol

  • Great video Ed, simple and straight forward, good job sir

  • @brotherskeepers111 Thanks, brother!

  • nice rifle thanks for the instructions. I thought there were more parts to clean then that.

  • @cbfan1969 That's one of the beauties of the AR rifle. Thanks for watching!

  • Very nicely done Ed... I'm going to have get one probably on black Friday :)

  • @bigrob18772 That's PERFECT!

  • Great video Ed. Thanks!

  • @dxporker Thanks, my friend!

  • is it really necessary to have the hammer cocked back before closing the upper and lower receivers?

  • @TheJabjxx It's actually a pretty good idea. I've done it both ways, but having the hammer back seems to make it easier.

  • Great video for the new guys just getting into AR's. Youtube is a great place to learn.

  • @mixflip That's what I'm here for!

  • Nice video BUT, on the final assembly you should be sure to stress that the hammer MUST be cocked when you close it up. (Yes, I did see you cock it.) I mention this because when I got my AR I didn't know this and while the rifle will close with the hammer uncocked it will NOT function (hence, a wasted trip to the range). Thanks again, it was a nice video.

  • @starrw0lf Excellent point!

  • Nice vid.

  • @dragonballjiujitsu Thanks!

  • Good boy, you made it easy.

  • @k7roger I have to or else I'll confuse myself. LOL!

  • If I ever get an AR, I am going to watch this again. Thanks sir.

  • @Grubkat I truly appreciate that. We will welcome you to the Brotherhood of the Black Rifle with open arms!

  • @thebudgetarmory1 Thank you sir. As of late I am in the Brotherhood of Ain't Got No Money.

  • Great video, bro. Your use of the word "thingy" was magic.

  • @Mrmodernsurvival It seemed very technical to me. LOL!

  • Thanks for the video. Getting my lower today, this video was just in time. Thanks again. Mick. One.

  • @DJmickonis You're welcome. Thanks for watching!

  • LOL Love the end!!!!

  • @Iam1uglyguy We have a spider infestation in our area, and I needed a new method of extermination. LOL!

  • Thanks for the build Ed. looking foward to building one myself one day

  • @67euroVdub Don't forget to do a video about it!

  • Thanks for the vid, Ed! Like that DoubleStar lower! I have the DS upper and lower...Got it from Bud's. Couldn't be happier with it.

  • @stlrayedwards Thanks for watching! I was actually looking for a Stag lower, but I really like the DS.

  • Outstanding 101 Video

  • @doctruptwn Thank you!

  • good info...great video bro !!! keep it up . You Done Good !!! LOL

  • @mrmezmureyz Thanks!

  • Step 1: Center screen on thing you wish to not be alive anymore.

    Step 2: Press button.

    Step 3: Profit.

  • I hope to do a build someday! Thanks for the video!

  • @Lookinformemarbles It's not hard at all. If I can do it, anybody can. Thanks for watching, Marbles!

  • i was wondering where you we're ed nice video . i think im gonna build using a DSA lower and upper. its about the same as your delta.

  • @kniedelm Thanks, and have fun with the build!

  • Bud's guns?

  • @piasa1 Nope, Del-Ton rifle kit.

  • stupid ? but the only time you can switch the safety lever to safe is only when the hammer is cock back right...????

  • @masterthoj That is correct, that goes for a lot of firearms.

  • Well done my friend. See you soon.

  • @OilTheGun Thanks! Looking forward to it.

  • Your camera work and editing are excellent, and the instructions are clear and thorough. This one will be going in one of my playlists!

LOL at the end. You made me sad :( 'Cause I don't have an AR lol... I'm happy with my AK, but the tell-tale longing for the "Black Rifle" never goes away.

  • @DemonHide Thanks for the kind words. The forward assist is covered in the Spring semester. LOL! Actually, I've never had to use it before.

  • What about the rarely used forward assist thingy?

  • Good video. This will definitely help out new shooters.

  • @shavedforbattle Thanks! I sure hope so.

  • Yo man. Your gun is seriously dry. Try gun butter. It's great for ar 15 and hot shooting temps!!!

  • @thenowandaway I usually put some oil on it, but I didn't want to get my hands oily because of the camera. I've never tried Gun Butter. I'll have to look into it!

  • wow! very nice Ed...thats eaier to maintain than my ak47.....i want an ar bad,but i also want a gibson "les paul std." the wifes only lettin me get 1 thing for now..im tryin to wear her down so i can get both!
