This was a good call by Soros, but it was also an easy call for anyone with half a brain who took the time to step back and realize that banks were loaning up to 100% equity on houses to people who only had to state their income, not prove it. Add in the pseudo government institutions Fannie/Freddie along with the social engineering policies from the Democrats from the 90s, and it was quite easy to predict. Case in point, Jim Puplava called it in and the coming wider credit crisis in 2005.

However I think the American people are good people but are kind of unaware on how the media influences their thinking. The desire to get money and display it rather than store it is much stronger in the States. There is almost the feeling that if you don't do that you are some kind of failure. That leads to debt culture.

ACORN and Obama and Soros want to create an environment where everyone keeps the houses they live in without paying for them.
Imagine trying to repossess a half million or more homes during economic turmoil?
This is what happened in Russia in the 90s.
Now, everyone in Russia owns outright the house the government owned.
Obama wants a war or the SERIOUS threat of a race war.
And this way the "poor" will threaten to riot unless they get to keep their "home" as reparations.

We are currently experiencing the STR 'bear trap' phase of the housing cycle (the predictable dip in prices before the REAL boom starts).
Even when house prices are falling, they are still rising. Get another job, you lazy BTL wannabe!

Soros is a hero - he made a fortune a gives it to charity (isn't that what Jesus told us to do?). He fought for freedom and democracy in Eastern Europe, and helped them achieve it. He tries to promote freedom and wealth in America and he gets damned for it. Funny world.
