  • just Wait. hah. ever been swallowed by one of these Evil birds? and regurgitated to relive all that hell over again? Want a true Flaming song? try Violet femmes. otherwise, see my blog.. trust me, to quote Hesse, not for everyone, for Madmen only.....

  • Yeah don't dis this beautiful song....my ex's father wrote it!!!!!!

  • He is exactly the same!

  • Saw them live many years ago at the York Barbican. Great show! Paul Jones AND Mike D'abo both sang.

  • This is not Manfred Man!!! This is The Manfreds.

The Manfreds formed in 1991 as a reunion of former members of the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann, however without founder Manfred Mann himself.

  • This performance, just like the Do wah Diddy performance on Youtube from the same show, are lipsynced and fake. But they do once do it live, I think.

  • hey, I went to see the manfreds in a little venue in chesham mr mcguiness there also on guitar, absolutley great show they put on, PJ's voice is still so powerfull!!

  • Manfreds version is better than Springsteens, but I have to say, that Rod Stewarts version is the best that I have heard.

  • My favorite of theirs.

  • haha this guy is the least cool frontman ever. songs great though.

  • Best version, Bruce don't come close

  • @mellowsky47 On this album they driva man by max roach and oscar brown reverting back to their jazz beginnings as the mann hugg jazz band

  • greenfone, I love Bruce. Saw him live in New Orleans in 1980 or 81 in a small auditorium. Great show, but his version of pretty flamingo doesn't come near the original.

  • wow, i am an idiot, i dont even remember commenting on this... im sorry for being offensive. im gonna go smash my head against a wall now.

  • He is also no match for Manfred Mann with Mike D Abo up front

  • As Good as they were in 64 Total Class Greenfone you are a prize TOSSER

  • Paul Jones WAS Manfred Mann in my opinion! they had some Great hits back in the 60s' loved them all !! so sad when Paul left the band and Mike D'arbo took his place .. mind you he did look alot like him I thought but didnt sound like him .. I kinda lost interest after that .. even tho they were still in the U.K. charts with hits like My name is Jack .. and Semi Detached Suburban Mr James.!! great songs but just didnt do it for me .. thanx for this great post !!!.. Lyndloo..x

  • *****

  • Anymore like you at home? What a super toon!

  • Paul still has it. Simply awesome!

  • So, in '66 this song was #1 on the British charts for 13 weeks (still a record, I think)

  • @pplanidin nowhere near 13 wks and not a record

  • This is "The Manfreds" and has nowadays nothing to do with the person Manfred Mann. Manfred Mann still runs Manfred Mann's Earth Band as a rocking live band.

The Manfreds are former members of the 1960's pop group Manfred Mann.

Manfred Mann's Earth band playing Spirits in the Night still live but not that stuff from the 60's.

  • @monkmann Manfred Needs to be forced at gunpoint to rejoin pure class

  • This is a great song. Why isn't the band playing it?

  • greenfonegreenfone you are an idiot

  • greenfonegreenfone - you have a lot to learn. This is THE definitive version of this great song, and is the original, by the way. Paul Jones is the singer and does a fabulous job of it. End of story. Don't bag a brilliant rendition of a song just because you like Bruce Springsteen

  • @MrGMmusic Manfreds is better than Springsteens version, but I have to say, I think Rod Stewarts version is the best one.

  • @greenfonegreenfone Bruce Springsteen is ok BUT HE IS NO MATCH FOR FOR PAUL JONES and the lads NO WAY NO HOW
