Cool i just killed this bad boy on my first attempt and still have the lives of the thousand gods and my talisman of rebirth yes yes i know what you think he is playing on Acolyte and i am and there is no shame this game is hard even on acolyte so i am learning moves the levels, bosses so i now what to expect when playing on the harder dificultie.
i beat him on my frist try if you have the volting nimpo when hes in the air aim i little over and it will hit him then he will come down then kick his ass :D

I just saw it today. You will need that, if anything to get through the mine trap after you beat him. (programmer fail)

I hate this game. I hate it but I love it too. I love the great slicing bloodbath action, the many bosses, the music, the graphics! But why is it so damn hard. I don't know how often I told myself: "Well, it probably cannot be harder from now on!" but then it became harder... and harder... and harder. I played the Acolythe Mode and I'm stuck in the very end. The Archfiend kicks my ass. Like all bosses do. But he... is not killable. Not by me.

In Master Ninja Mode, it took me like 1,000 tries to kill that bitch and i cursed and screamed a lot. I was that close into turning my 360 in but with luck i beat Master Ninja Mode. Master Ninja Mode from Ninja Gaiden/Black/Sigma is a lot easier for me. People say Ninja Gaiden for xbox is the hardest game but it's easy for me.

Press RB to lock the camera onto this guy so you at least have a chance. There's a bug where if you die and reload the game, the lock on disappears and you're literally fighting blind.
As for actually fighting him, use Flying Swallow 3 times in a row when he does his stomp attack then slash the hell out of him and run.
The vigorian flail works well with him, but jesus that mother fucking camera, he's in the air 80 percent of the time and 98 percent he;s off the fucking screen.

i finally beat it and the way i did it was (after a billion tries):
-Eclipse Scythe
-Only "Y" attacks
- stay on the offense
-using art of the inferno to protect myself and do minor dmg
- the only way u can beat him is by doing it quick.. dont wait for him to attack u, just charge at him!

For those that got stuck here cos of low health, (hope you are using manual save) I suggest you go back to the double Armadillos, try to beat them both without using any health.
One herb can't take down zedonius here. And keep that stuff you got from the old guy. *can't remember his name.
I didn't use mine until CH14 final boss batle

Its one thing for a game to be difficult, but Itagaki just fucking throws that out the window and says fuck you, who needs balanced AI when I can just make you lose 100 times before I decide to give you a lucky win...oh yeah watch out for those hidden mines after you win. rofl, zedonius was hard yeah, but not THAT hard. I had alot more trouble with some of the earlier chapter bosses. 1st zedonius in chapter8 is a joke though.
