  • Is skating a good cardio???

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH lol im 14 and i got a 4 pack kinda but i cant get the bottom ones but that was funny "eat less and exercise more" lmao

  • I must say thank you forscooby1961. You showed the i can earn the power with the hard work. I can do the splits,i am fast and strong. thank to you. omg im so thankful. thank you so much!!

  • lol, haha awsome video. looks like im going to go for a walk.

  • Great tips !!! Keep'em cummin

  • Nice!! I m counting my calories and do daily cardio and weights.

It really helps when your knowing what you eat.

    LOL at, "pissed."

  • THANKS:]

  • mega nacho cheesy poof ... i love those!!!

  • So wouldn't doing intervals and HIT (High intensity training) yield better results over all if you actually want to conserve the most of your bodybuilding efforts?

I'm not saying 30 minutes of cardio is bad, I'm just saying I would do exercise in a different way. Low-carb (low "grain" anyways) nutrition leaves your sugar blood levels low, so when you do high intensity training you have no choice but to use up your glycogen reserves. It's a good duo for fat burning, better then cardio for me.

  • I'm 19 and used to weigh 180 pounds but I thought myself to eat healthier. I cut as much soda, fast food, and snacks as possible. Over a few months I'm now 166 and eat whatever I want with an overall healthier lifestyle. After watching your video I'm starting some beginner body building following your guides on your website. *Excited!*

  • 2% milk has that much fat? wow I only recently changed to 2% when I was a kid my parents had us drinking whole milk every night for dinner.

btw that apron on you looks ridiculous. lol

  • Ok... first off, nice vid. Amateurs listening to this who know nothing about nutrition and exercise physiology will have good guidelines. For the rest of us... maybe only having 10% of our total calories from fat is NOT a good thing. I don't react well to a high carb diet. If i'd drop to 10% cals from fat, i'd most likely gain weight. I'm at 35% right now, a lot coming from saturated fats. Also cardio is kinda couterproductive to bodybuilding cuz of the catabolic effect it has on your body

  • this is a great video. it's hilarious, too. BUY THE ABDUMINATOR FOR 4343 EASY PAYMENTS OF 99 CENTS lmao. i like the factual information as well. very insightful and helpful to all ppl, i think.

  • i watched this video not because of the 6 pack, but i need to lose my stomach fat. im 185lbs, and im 6'2. i play basketball and im trying to increase my vertical jump. i do calf raises, jump rope, and squats to increase my jump. but i also do push ups to keep my body tight and i need to lose stomach fat to give my legs a break.

but 6 packs would also look nice.

  • thas wazzup. u go dude lol. i play basketball, too, except im a 5'7" 200lb-er lol i just need to get in shape period. good luck

  • yea u too ive been workin out for about like 2~3 weeks now and mi hops have gone up. before ive been only touching the net but now the tip of all mi fingers can touch the rim. including the pinkie. but like whenever i work out, mi parents jsut come in the room and say "thats what you should be doing to your brain. go to good college. get money" ugh life is pretty hard if your asian -_-

  • got hoop dreams? stand on the edge of a stair and do calf raises. lots of them. then angle your feet inward and do more. after just a couple weeks you will see the difference!

  • Wow i like your videos so much! You really helped me, I did abs workout as you said in your video, for 3 weeks now, since the first time i saw this video, and it really does work, i can actually see my abs now :)

  • Thats great that you saw results in 3 weeks, for most it takes FAR longer than that. You must not have had much weight to lose in the first place. 1 lb/week of weight loss is a good target.

  • Yes i was kinda skinny (80kg, 188cm high) at the first place when i started. I've been working out for half a year, but I never payed too much attention on abs. Now after each workout i really feel the abs, and its getting better and better every week.

  • Scooby you are a great model to weight loosers and weight lifters everywhere, And trying not to sound too gay...i love your body!

  • Crazy Saakashvili eats his tie! BBC News

    watch?v=GqSIXIwGLhI

  • you deserve a nobel prize for the being a good roll model, for the proces of educating people in health and warning them about failures they should avoid. I subscribed. I am 18, 160 pounds 1,85 and gaining :) not trying to body build but I do want to buckle up a bit. ty

  • Thanks epicenter, that would be cool but somehow I dont think I'm on Nobel's radar screen :) It would be nice if good nutrition caught on with teens, we have an obesity epidemic here and IMHO its mainly because kids arent taught about nutrition and the importance of exercise in school or at home. Teens dont WANT to be fat but they need the knowledge and tools to be healthy. If anybody can get this video played in their health class at school, I'd welcome their critique.

  • Superb video!

  • well u dun really NEED to do these cardiovascular and aerobic exercises to lose fat, they only make u lose fat during the exercise. High intensity exercise for medium period of time will heartrate going through the roof and fat.

  • Good video man.

I lost about 98 pounds in 6 months. Slightly faster than the guy says, but I did it doing exactly what this guys says here. If I could do it, so can anyone. It's all about mentality., and have fun working out.

I also recommend something like a kettlebell. Not sure what a kettlebell is? search youtube, theres lots of videos of them there.

  • really, 98 pounds??? Did you follow the diet also?

  • I didnt want to go on record as saying it but 2lbs/week of weight loss doesnt seem to burn muscle off but to be concervative, I only recommended 1lb/week.

  • HAHAHAHHA I LOVE THIS GUY MAN

  • LOl @ 1:17

    This guy is the best!

  • good video...

  • "Bingo! He's Fatter than Ever!" lol that was Great. You're Great, Scoob!

  • Its true! Everyone I know who has done those faddish zero carb diets is now heavier than when they started although they did have a month or two of 6-pack glory.

  • can i use soy sauce with vegtabeles

  • 1)how much time do i have to wait after a meal in order to start excersises?

2)what are the best parts of the day for someone (begginer) to excersise?

3)should i set priority in some bodyparts ,or should i treat them and excersise them as the rest?

4)how many hours must i sleep every night in order for muscles to rest?

i would apreaceat it if you could answear my questions , and i must also apologise if you have already mentioned about those thinks i asked in one of your videos

  • i can answer 1 and 4..

1: Your stomach is digesting at the moment after eating. So, wait for 45-1 hour to be safe and not get ur stomach knotted up. =D

4: Sleeping is very important to rest it up. So, about 8-9 hours is ok.

  • thank you very much man!

  • hilarious..." YOU CANT TARGET BODY FAT UNLESS YOUR USING A MACHETE!"

  • haha yeah! Scooby is a funny guy :D

  • whoa whoa whoa!!! you are so great! thank you very much for your help! all the information are very helpful and you've explained everything so clear. at the end of the video, i don't think anyone still have any questions on their minds after watching this. the video is enjoyable to watch!

    thanks again!

  • lol great video, i like the new funny style...adds some flare to the vids...very helpful :) once again your the best and can beleieve this info is free

  • You Crack me up Scooby! You rock too =D

  • rofl @ 3:03

  • It's all true!!!

  • good vid scooby!

  • WOW! The pocket version looks like a great bargain!

  • I'm 270lbs.....

....when I retire I can say I've got great abs.

  • Also, about the fat, I don't think you have to ban fat. In fact, you must not, because there are many essential fatty acids that you must eat. And the key is not really to eat less fat, but less calories, if you eat more calories than you need, either it is fat or not, it is gonna be stored over your abs. So, in my opinion, fat are good, but not too much because fat provides a lot of calories.

  • yeah and hemp marijuana has the most fatty acid omega in the world they say, the hemp seed and what not bet you didn't now that,

  • oh and is skippin to ... i dnt mean like playing skipping i mean proper ...3 min skip 1 min rest fast skipping ( boxing )

  • 1.. is sleep n important part im just wondering becoz sum ppl say no but at my gym the trainer was sayin that u need sleep for your muscles to be able to stretch or work properly... is this true?

2..i have a boxing bag and trampoline .. is boxing, trampolin n soccer for 30mins a day enough becoz when i play football it will be for atleast 2 hours but if i dnt go out is boxing and trampolining gd?

i am 13 so if it helps i thought i shud say

thankyou i will appreciate it if u reply.. 1nce agen ty.

  • I like your video, but I have to disagree on the cardio thing. I don't like this kind of cardio because it's kinda hard for the metabolism and can burn some of your lean mass. I'd rather use a 3 times a week endurance training program, doing compounds movements, like squats, deadlifts, power cleans, snatches, etc. You will see, it will get your heart pumping really quick and make your muscle stronger and avoid lean mass loss.

  • lol "youd a been piiiiiised"

  • Hey, this is kind of off topic, but im making a video and i need some advice on what muscles i need to work on

Just click my name then click "week 4"

  • wow I can still comment on this video

  • Its my little experiment :) I'm actually going to start a forum so that I can answer all questions in one place rather than having to prowl around on all 40 of my vids

  • SCOOB UR THE GREATEST THANKS

  • Also, I get about 30 minutes of medium intensity cardio every day, but I just dont see myself getting any thinner. i would guess im at about 13% bodyfat and id like to go down to nine or so. at least enough to see my abs, What can I do to get the extra umph into my weightloss? should I cut breads? eat more throughout the day? work on metabolism? Please scooby. If you could help me with my questions I would greatly appriciate it! I live in miami so i enjoy riding my bike to the gym and back. Thanks

  • Check out my "Part 2" video, its on nutrition!

  • Ive always been more focused on upper body, because natually I have massive quads because my dad played soccer for 16 years. Ive been focusing on chest the most lately, If I could just loose the layer of extra bodyfat i would be content. lately I have been laying off my protien shake because I worry that the 800 calories might just make me chubby. and I have been trying to get my protien from eggs ect. Should I cut out all kinds of bread from my diet? a guy in the gym said I should.

  • I recently got a gym membership for only 10.00 per month! so for a 14y.o thats not bad. I asked a man in the gym and he said I should bulk up because im thin enough that i shouldnt worry about looking fat. but he doesnt understand that i am actually rather insecure about that layer over my abs and I dont want to bulk up and look chubby. Im an endomorph (I think) I gain large amounts of muscle in only a month or so, but i also gain a small amount of fat that always covers the musle.

  • ha! where i live, since im still a student (offered to students in 11th - 12th graders) i can go to my local gym for FREE! its a really nice one too. if your in highskool, most highskools let you stay after skool and workout with in the skool gyms with some of the football players or basket ball players w/e. thats what i was doing 9th though 10th it works :D

  • hey scooby, Sorry to ask another question, but im 14 and ive been working out for 2 years now, the first year was kinda fooling around without a plan. Ive never had abs my whole life, I have a large upperbody and a thin layer of bodyfat over my abs and prettymuch my whole body, But im still thin enough to see the top 2 abs. I work my biceps alot and they have grown so much that they are like little tennis balls. but they arent very wide, they are just tall and mountain shaped.

  • You would have been PISSSSSED!!! i love it great videos man keep up the good work

  • ey scoob, iv been workin out for awhile now..but my only problem is, i dont have the best diet.

I cant cook worth a shit right now, so i was just wondering if u had any idea on when you're next video will come out? (the one that you'll be talking about neutrition on)

    thanks scoob!

  • go on part 2 of this vid, all the info you need

  • it's up already

  • To anyone who doubts this, it's absolutely true. Proper nutrition is the key for getting a six pack. Otherwise your six pack will be "in the cooler." Males especially need to pay close attention to this, since the lower abdominal region is where body fat primarily collects on them.

  • what the fuck???

what a dick head u can get a 6 pack easy

  • as scooby says..if it was that easy everyone would have a 6 pack.

  • Depends on ur natural body shape. For me its easy because im born skinny, however, some people are born with a slower metabolism, and have a different diet from me.

  • lol this dude is homo

  • Just click my name and click "Week 4"

  • Hey, Ive got a video of me working out

and i was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a muscle i should work on more?

  • nd my main problem is what i eat i eat shit all day fast food but im skinny cuz im always playin basketball

  • great video

  • this is a real good video but i dont want to lose a pound a week cuz im skinny i just want to lose the fat around teh stomach

  • Great Video. I'm gonna try it.

  • Keep making videos! All of them are very well made and explained.

  • is frosted flakes with bno milkhealthy

  • You are more than amazing, thank you very much, I have done what you said for two weeks and believe it or not I lost over 10 pounds already. Except that I have done much more exercise.

  • You overachiever you! I would slow down the weight loss a bit, about a pound a week is what I like to make sure you are not burning muscle.

  • this guy is a legend

  • hehehehe, yes that is true

  • I agree with the guy before me. Thanks for taking the time out to explain all that in simple terms. I'm looking forward to watching some more of your videos. Cheers!

  • How nice it is to have someone take the time to do such careful explanations on your videos! Thank you for taking the time to explain things slowl and in detail...wish I had money to donate..but Exxon-Mobil got it all! Please keep up the good work!

anyone with an answer can help me to thankyou

please answer it for me scooby

  • Great vids and very helpful

  • Hi Scooby.

I'm 14, and when I've been doing sit-ups recently. My top 4 abs show, but the bottom 2 are not really defined. Do you have any suggestions for getting them more defined?

    Thanks :)

  • Excercise more, eat less. Watch the video. It doesn't have to do with how much you work your abs, it has to do with how much body fat you are. Everybody in the world has 6-pack abs, it's just a matter of how covered in fat they are.

  • "Aren't you glad you didn't buy the abduminator? You would've been piiisssed."

  • hey scooby.. your vids are really helpful.. just wondering if you have any good advice on cardio?

  • .... he said like 400 things on cardio listen

  • So are you trying to say we shouldn't drink milk if we're trying to eat healthy.I mean milk is 90% of my breakfast.

  • Simply brilliant! hahaha! I love how you mix humour with great facts ;)

  • also do you eat lots of vegetables, whole grains, proteins and fruits in one meal? or four different meals? And if its four different meals, how many hours till the next meal?

  • I believe you should be eating 1 serving evry 2 or 3 hours 5 to 6 times a day.

  • and im 14 btw.

  • Wats Btw Mean?

  • By-The-Way

  • Well i have couple of questions for you. I have been working out my abbs, and i do 5 sets of 100 crunches each set, which would be 500 crunches, and idk, the next day im not even a little sore, and i push myself harder and harder everyday on my abbs, but i dont feel anything, no pain no gain right? Also when you workout, and your sore the next day, should you still workout the that day? Or is it bad for you?

  • sorry. i didnt finish watching the video before my last comment. my bad. lol. you did say what i meansioned. sorry. erm. delete my comment yh. lol.

  • scooby. im no expert in training. im just 15 years old. but what i do know from reading a little but of excercizing. everybody says to eat less and excericize more. that is wrong. because people imediatly think that eating less means cutting out certain foods which is bad for you. i mean they will think. no fattening foor no sugary foods, etc. but in order to get what you want. you need to eat "a bit" of "everything". ive seen an improvment cos i do the same work outs as the videos you posted.Ty

  • Thanks scooby your the man

  • he ist one of the best like chuck norris =D

  • Yes I am looking forward to the meal suggestions! Everyone on youtube just throws all kinds of numbers and percentages at you and just leaves me clueless lol. I just need to know what to eat =P

  • there is only one way to buy abs: call david copperfield.

  • Do You take any supplements? Like creatine, bcaa's, arginine. If so please post the ones you take.

  • joeyKTM it doesnt really matter if u take a creatine supplement or from food, all it does is give you some extra boost on your lifts

  • the best supplement is eating the right food! i take no supplements apart from protein powder and im abit bigger then scooby id say

  • What a great video! Many thanks for the tip's, they are already working!

  • I just love your exercise system, but I have a question. I believe I've got the ab crunch technique down correct, but I don't know if it looks right when watched from 3rd person. I mean, I can feel the abs contracting, but I'm not sure whether it's the maximum contraction I can achieve.

    PLEASE HELP!

  • Another fantastic post.

Can't wait for the video on meal suggestions!

  • I enjoyed the video! I've been getting bored with workouts and yo-yo due to that boredom. I have been checking out a lot of techniques and info online. Some good, some bad, but I did like the machete comment about spot fat removal! Anyway, I went to your website and saw you have a disc issue. Have you tried chiropractic and/or massage therapy? May be a way to control pain and if you find the right chiro, get some more strengthening tips, do's and don'ts! Just a suggestion.

  • hahhah look at that 10 day workout plan

  • Would doing jumping jacks or jump squats count as cardio?

  • Great video! Gave me some hearty laughs!! Funny too is how simple weight loss + getting in shape can be - yet so many people feel the need to have thousand$ in fancy equipment, but still neglect to improve their daily nutrition.

  • Does this mean everything we eat should be under 10% fat by calories?

  • LOL i eat like 2 "garbage" meals aday. But i am doing a six-pack abs program and i am starting to get sixpack already and ive done it for only 1 week xD

  • How many cheat meals do you eat a week? Like pizza and stuff like that.

  • If I am trying to lose weight, I allow myself one meal a week on a specific day. I find I need this to keep my sanity and to prevent bad-food-binges.

  • Hello, I'm 16 years old and I weigh close to 200 pounds. 195 last I checked. I'm 6'2

Most of the weight is fat, not muscle

The only place that I have truly visible muscles is my arms. I am going to begin this program tomorrow, and I will come back in a week or so and tell you all the notable differences. I will also be doing a few more of your weight training tips.

Thank you so much for all the help that you provide people like me with :)

  • You will FEEL better after a week, but dont expect any visible changes! Remember, lose a pound a week of fat, no more. Otherwise you run the risk of burning off the muscle along with the fat.

  • Sounds logical, I'm looking to WORK towards a permanent solution, not just buy a pill and shed off all the weight as you said, because its almost guaranteed to come back, not to mention how much better you will feel about yourself.

  • Yes, there is no such thing as a magic pill that does all the work for you.

But there are such things as supplements such as caffine, chromium picolinate or chitosan which might in assisting in fat loss and they don't cost much. Chitosan works as a really good fat blocker (Good if you eat a packet of chips or something like that) Caffine is brilliant for energy and fat burning and chromium picolinate is for helping you feel fuller (This worked for me) A good diet is the main key to losing fat.

  • THIS

    FUCKING

    ROCKS.

I just have to get the 5 meals a day on lock-down. 5* VID

  • I wish this video was in dutch version to xD i understand how to do crushes but in don't really get the food parts :O something about drink water, eating vegetables, fruit and meat and 5 meals a day. Well i'm walking fast one hour a day tnx to school xD i'll do 3x15 crunshes everyday and push ups to :D i'll eat less candy xD eat more fruit, meat, patatoes and vegetables everyday, drink water and milk. And everyday 1 cup of coffee to wake up though xD think that's good? btw i'm 18^^

  • you should not drink milk!

  • why not milk actually, it's good for your bones and teeth right xD

  • Sure. For losing fat its probably not the best idea to drink full fat milk. Try trim (99% fat free) or water when cooking oats or making a protein shake.

  • Trim milk is good when building muscle mass. Trying to gain weight. When trying to cut and get lean its best to stick to water.

  • Scooby - You rock! You're honest and funny... Keep up the great work!

  • hi scooby

ive been watching your videos and ive been finding them very helpful and i'm hoping to start your beginner home workout plan soon and i was wondering if judo would be a form of cardio?

  • hey Scooby great vids, i've bee following them for a while now and your homepage is great too :)

i've got a question: very often i read that you can do excercises with different grip widhts... but does that really make a difference? I'm still a beginner (started about two months ago) so i guess it would be enough to only do the excercises in the neutral position?

thank you for your help :)

  • Yes, different grip distances/angles can completely change an exercise. As a beginner, dont worry, just choose a comfortable grip and get started.

  • Hey scooby. I love your videos. I was really into lifting at one point, but got hurt and never got back into it. Watching your videos helped me start back up again, and more importantly taught me to watch what I eat.

I have just one question though. Isn't 10% of total calories from dietary fat too low? I mean, if one eats 2,000 calories a day, thats roughly 20g of fat. I know there are countless recommendations for macronutrient ratios, but it seems it would be diffucult to get enough EFA's.

  • Most people who eat 50% of their cals from fat dont get enough EFAs. Its not the % of calories you eat from fat but WHAT fat you consume :)

  • Nicely done!

I appreciate the effort you're putting into explaining weight loss the proper way. Thank you very much.

  • lol i love the comedy you put in your videos and I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A VIDEO TUTORIAL LIKE THIS!.THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • machetes = fat =b

  • hi scooby! I have a problem which is i have a small body but huge thighs and legs. I've been doing a lot of cardio and this has caused my body fats to be reduced but not the fat in my legs! This has made me look a bit unproportional. Is there a way to burn fats in thighs and legs?

  • one more question: does anyone know a legit website that i can find out my bodyfat %?

  • hey scooby does it matter if i jog 2 miles a day at night because i want to know if it is the same then working out in the day

  • I've been doing 100 sit ups a day and run n its working for me... weird huh?

Plus i eat alot of junk food.

  • lol i thought he was black lol
