  • You need to speak in French. I can do a better video and speak with the locals in French!!!!

  • loved this 2 part video on Montreal! great job and well edited!

  • YOU PAST BROCKVILLE!! I LIVE THERE!!! lol, big fan, big fan! Hope you had fun, I'm going there in July so, I'll send like a video or something to you!!!

  • awesome vid. i love montreal! you should try attending their reggaefest in the summer; great crowd and good vibes :]

  • awesome

  • Great video!!

    Keep posting!!

    6/5*

  • After watching your video, My wife and I are going to Montreal this weekend, I can't wait!

  • I'm so glad to hear that. Have a great trip and let me know how it goes!

  • really fun , entertaining video :)

  • Thanks - Just checked it out. I was wondering is this condo owned by a person, how do these bed and breakfast places work? I've seen them on tv but never really experienced them in real life. Noticed the prices were $125/night. Is yours ($394) included with tax? Thx!

  • Yes $394 includes with tax. Most of the time B&Bs will ask for a refundable deposit on arrival (this is just in case you lose any of the keys provided). You have to book ahead of time and just go in and viola. It's like a hotel but better (in my opinion).

  • OMG! This is so awesome. I'm guessing your friend's (Tenzin) favorite color is purple? LOL.

  • that same a lot of fun with you friends

  • Lol Fiona, you're so cute!

  • Hahaha thanks Melissa! I think this is definitely one of my favourite videos that I made so far.

  • i loved this video so great

  • its not cold there? haha i always thought canada was freezing... its cold in idaho right now

  • This was filmed back in July so it was warm then. It's getting cold now in Toronto...around 6 degrees Celsius.

  • Great road trip. Got dizzy though x_O. Ur friends are funny that's why ur trip was great. U were with great ppl and great atmosphere. Two thumbs up.

  • These are times when I wish I had a steady cam to prevent dizzyness. Thanks Ella! My friends are definitely characters.

  • Can't believe that meal was 17$ ...for a sub and a bag of chips....and make ur own soup?..lol..I wouldn't have been impressed either....lol..

Thanks for taking us on your trip..!~ Also for putting the camera specs in the description..very thoughtful of u..:D

    Peace~

  • Are you saying $17 is too expensive? It's actually really cheap considering you are getting so much fresh lobster in a sub. And the clam chowder was amazing. One of my favourite meals for sure. It was so filling that we ended up eating the chips as snacks later in the day. Worth every penny.

Thanks for commenting and watching :D

  • ohh...didn't know it was Lobster..!..lol...and u didn't look impressed in the video...i was going by that...I was sure i heard u say...u weren't impressed..which is why i said..i wouldn't have been either...but i didn't know it was lobster....

    Later..~

  • Ooh I wasn't impressed with my friend's explanation since they were joking around. But both him and I did say lobster roll haha.

  • this is a great video!! it makes me feel like i've been to Canada w/ you guys =D

happy to watch. thank you so much for this!!

  • I'm thrilled to hear that you felt like you were on the trip with us! Thanks for your lovely comment.

  • ok 1) yes canadians + tim hortons + road trip = must stock up

    2) as a torontonian as well, i love montreal. i think that it is what toronto really should be. and it is much more affordable than stuff to do in toronto and i hate to say that about the city i lovelol but montreal is so rich with this vibe that can please anyone of any age, culture, or expectation of fun. great video!

  • Thanks Flora. I think it's hard for Toronto to have a defined culture like Montreal just because the city is so diverse and houses so many districts within. We have little Italy, Koreatown, Chinatown, etc...

But I definitely love the culture that Montreal has.

  • LOL @ timmies being the first stop hahaha, it really IS the first stop to getting anywhere!!

  • You know you are a true Canadian when...

  • LOL exactly! You read my mind haha, I made it passed the timmes part and I fav'd it, you got some really, really awesome footage and your friends are so cute. Montreal looks so rich with culture and fun! I've never been but its kinda like the clarisonic thing lol - I want to go now, badly! I blame you fiona! all my lemmings = your videos!! Keep em coming :D

  • Hahaha thanks so much hun! My friends are awesome. They were in support of me documenting all of the footage. I still have to edit Day 3 & 4 not to mention a deleted scenes video (which some parts are hilarious).

Glad to know that I've become an enabler!

  • awesome trip! i did the exact same thing when i went on a trip this summer w/ friends to orlando! travel diaries are fun. you can capture all the great conversations and randomness!

  • I totally agree with you!! Do you have links to your videos?

  • i didn't upload them. They are quite boring and I don' t have time go edit them to post it! Maybe when I'm free later on.

Montreal seems awesome, maybe I will go on a road trip there sometime. thanks for the inspiration! Its not even that expensive too and lots of fun!

  • Definitely link me up when you do decide to edit and post them!

I usually keep a cost breakdown of every trip I go on, so looking back the trip cost around $350 per person. This included like taxi rides, subway pass, food, drinks (incl. alcohol), museum pass, hostel, and gas. This doesn't include souvenirs that each of us purchased. Living in a hostel or bed&breakfast definitely helps to lower down costs. Hope that helps.

  • wow, great trip video! that lobster/seafood sandwich looked so yummy!

  • Thanks! It also tasted yummy!

  • Omgg

    This looks soo funn ! : )

    Havee fun : )

  • This looked like a ton of fun, I'm totally inspired to do something like this too! Thanks for sharing!

  • It's makes me so happy that you got inspired. It was really fun to make to film and edit the video, despite the long hours but what I like about videos is that it captures memories more so than pictures. Send me a link when you decide to post a link to your future adventure!

  • Great Video, that parade at the end there looked... weird, in a good way.

  • It was so random and awesome at the same time! Definitely an experience in itself.

  • Great video. Its nice to document things on video instead of just pictures because it captures so much more of the experience. The camera is incredibly clear too.

  • I agree! I got really inspired to document this trip from a Canadian TV called Departures and from another YouTube user: derricwong

Thanks. It's just a regular Canon IXUS 950IS with 640x480 and 15fps setting.

  • looks fun! & the video is so clearr :)

  • Took me so long to get the quality to export properly. I actually have a better version on my computer but the file is 1.3GB and YouTube would probably ruin the quality like most of my videos.

This was shot with just a Canon point and shoot. Nothing fancy.

  • Have a nice trip and have a good time!!

  • We did have a great trip! Thanks for your comment!

  • How fun! I have never had the pleasure of being out east.

It looks like you had beautiful weather. Amazing how finding good places to eat becomes a priority too. Great video! ^_^

  • Haha...wait till you see my Day 3 & 4 video. Then I think your comment on the weather will change ;)

Places to eat are so important, can totally make or break a trip. We were lucky enough that all our meals were incredible. Pays to research prior to going on trips.

  • Wow....the hostel looks surprisingly nice. Was it that expensive?

  • Not at all. It came out to be $107 per person for 4 nights and 3 days. This included parking and breakfast in the morning. We also had a kitchen and bathroom to ourselves.

  • Thanks! I was wondering if you can link the place of the hostel because from the outside it looked really nice! Did you have your own rooms and what is the place called? Would love to go there when I decide to visit Canada.

  • I just updated the "more info" section. I would recommend the Bed and Breakfast called "Condo 302" over the hostel. It was a lot nicer and just more comfortable.

The pictures shown on the Hostel's website doesn't include the suite. But there was one room that had bunk beds enough to sleep for 4.

    Hope that helps!
