@tex4568 check out our dubstep production tutorials on our channel. It's a different style but it ought to help you learn some stuff about basslines to apply to your own music.
it's also important to set your dry/wet knob always to 100% at return tracks, so that you only get the reveerb signal and none of the original sound into the return
What's the reason for putting the first reverb on those shakers when you put on a room reverb after? I was wondering if this is a common technique or if you just thought it sounded good.
@SparkySubie Yes, this is a common technique to use different style reverbs on drums. It allows you to achieve different colors and helps with the placement of sound.
Theres tons of different ways to get similar results. I like to get my basic Ideas down putting everything in the same Drum Rack. Then later on Ill extract the individual sounds out to separate tracks by right clicking on the chain and clicking extract chain.
From there Ill group the drums that I would like to share common effects...Hope that helps.

@DubSpot So I'm guessing it's mostly done with minimal right? I've never heard of this technique for other kinds of house.

I believe it was "Grey". Now that I think about it, it's probably not the best to do screen casts with.

great tut!
from now on I'll use more the live's reverb :)
do you keep all the percussion on the same drum rack?
it's easier for build up the patterns, but what EQ and mastering?
Same or separate tracks?
thanks
