@jonnavdpas At lest we have the internet to meet other people that LOVE batman in all it's glory. i'm actually writting a fanfic with scarecrow and riddler in it!
Personally, I think it is really shoddy of Batman to spray Dr. Crane with his own Fear Toxin and then leave him there without the antidote. He was just responsible for creating a Super-villain. Crane may not have been the most stable person pre-poisoning, but he was relatively sane. Now he is a psychopath. Not very hero-like. Good going, Batman. (And I say this out of absolute adoration for both Crane and Batman himself. Just shows he is as human as everyone else).
@quillian91 ...since when can someone who actually creates a toxin deliberately intended to cause hallucinations and, in the end, drive people nigh-insane with sheer, unadulterated terror even be called 'relatively' sane? I see your point, but to me, it was poetic justice that Batman sprayed Crane; like he said 'Have a taste of your own medicine, Doctor.' While it may have driven him a bit further, Crane always *was* a psychopath-- now he just outed himself as one is all.
@DorianMichaelsIII, When I say 'relatively sane' I mean that he was a very well-functioning, intelligent individual who had everyone fooled. That includes all the highly trained psychiatrists who he worked with every day years. It wasn't that he wasn't messed up, but his insanity was much more subtle and only seemed to be released in isolated, brief moments. He had specific goals in mind with his fear toxin: To study and cure fear. Not that crazy, really. Just a messed up way to go about it.
@DorianMichaelsIII As well as the fact that Batman should be above such things as spraying an already unstable man with a concentrated dose of hallucinogens that causes both insanity and death. He had to have known that no one would be around to give Crane the antidote, but he didn't seem to really care, did he? That isn't really being a hero. When he made a pledge to protect Gotham, he didn't mean just the good parts of it. Just saying that was kinda of a rough thing to do....
@quillian91 Again, point made. But who knows-- Batman may have told them later to go back and inoculate Crane with the antidote (not implausible that he did so, seeing as how the good Doctor cropped up again in The Dark Knight, and in fair control of his faculties to boot). But then again, I think that tone is reinforced later in Batman's final parting shot to Ra's Al Ghul: "I won't kill you...*but I don't have to save you*." Maybe that's just me seeing any logic in that, but there it is.
@DorianMichaelsIII It is possible that he did so, but either way, it was far too late. Crane had been reduced to a delusional mess. And after, he was charging around on a horse. Even if Batman did try to give him the antidote later on, he still shouldn't have sprayed him in the first place. He was already subdued and caught. He wasn't a threat anymore. Not to mention Rachael nearly died from the concentrated dose. It is a miracle that Crane even survived at all.
@quillian91 I'm pretty sure Crane wasn't under the influence of his fear gas when he was riding on the horse. First off, he was wearing his mask again, and second him riding around on a horse creates a terrifying image. I think the whole horse act was simply to spread as much chaos as possible, riding around like one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse.
@amritasengupta01 dude bale wasn't a good batman..say what your want but it wouldn't be hard for the villains especially as prestigious as the batman line up to out due the ridiculous bale batman..his voice was and still is absurd and laughable.
i agree completely ... i love the villains in this reboot franchise of batman than batman himself ... but i do like bale... in other movies he was pretty good in a less known movie called all the little animals and of course the american psycho ..
batman begins is very under rated. For those of you who were stupid enough to never watch this before Dark knight, make sure you watch it for fucks sake!
I'd have to agree with LeadCeno, He has a point. Superman may not be the greatest thing ever - but the super hero is legendary due to the orginality. Also, if I can agree with a line from Kill Bill. Bill stated he liked Superman - Because he was the only one naturally born with powers. As much as you think bright red undies are attractive (sarcasm :] ) You got to admit, Superman does have his part.
@101PrincessStephanie He didn't say he was naturally born with powers, he said he was the only one who disguised himself as human instead of the other way around - weak, scared, pathetic and fragile clark kent. That was superman's alias for humans. That's what bill said and meant. Its quite philosphical to think about.
@emeraldalyce I believe you mean "A dumbass alien" =P
Also, if you can't properly explain the reasoning behind his being "a gay ass superhero" then regardless of who won the arguement in question, you've technically lost because you can't logically defend your position. Therefore: I win. Hurray for logic
@Detth2you I'm not sure which of my comments you're responding to, but I hardly ever said anything about Batman. Did you really have to respond to a 4 month old comment of mine just to call me a 10 year old?
@emeraldalyce I agree, though, my favorite hero has to be batman because of the darkness and philosophical content such as here which chris nolan exploits. Also, you have to credit Superman for starting everything and if they did DC right (green lantern and new superman film) like they did with these batman films, they're might be hope. And on top of this the animated cartoons I have watched have always been DC, and I've thoroughly enjoyed them.
The great thing about "Batman Begins" is that, of the two villains adapted from the comics, one (Scarecrow) is one of the oldest (from the 1940s), and the other, Ras Al Ghul, is one of his newer adversaries (from the 1970s).

NO. He just received a healthy dose of his own weaponized aerosol agent developed from the flower Bruce Wayne brings to the monastery at the beginning of the film.
Haha no he was just dosed with some lovely fear-toxin and having the beejezus scared outta him...poor Crane:( He doesn't die, don't worry. If you watch The Dark Knight, he's in the very beginning for maybe a minute or two...
Just pray no more of the good actors die like Heath!
And what is it with you morons popping the thumbs down to most of the people who're actually trying to make a decent joke about this? I swear ya'll must be a buncha minor fangirls.
The way he puts the effect of the medicine in his tone is magnificent. It's the that and the way he dilivers it and the look in his eyes kills me. It's too great.
Joker is much more dangerous the way he is more open with his terrorism, not afraid to hide anything, gets more done, and people run and hide just the sight of him :)
that, and his way with words is a million times better
True, but I think Crane is just as dangerous because he's an inside guy unlike the Joker who clearly draws outside the lines Crane however is a guy who works in the system and is smart to take down the system if he wants to.
Yeah I do believe it was the Haunted Knight. I loved that comic! This movie was great too, but the fact that the ever frightening Prince of Panic was taken down by a tazer never ceases to irritate me. Cillian was a good Scarecrow though.
my brother asked me whos the best villain and i said joker and he said scarecrow im like why scarecrow? and hes like scarecrow is much scarier then some knifey-knifey clown. and im like scarecrow is cool but he works 4 people. joker is a soloist. and hes psychotic!
yeah that's true. it's just he's like this super-genius smart guy so smart it's kind of scary and he can just manipulate you so i guess dr. crane is scarier.
Crane is hella scarier, how how manipulates peoples minds with drugs and everything, and all his weird 'experiments' on people. The Joker is not exactly 'scary' but he is just as amazing.
I have to agree. The Joker is much more open and brutal about his terrorism. Crane has much more mystique and manipulation which does, in my opinion, make him scarier.
Yeah Cillian (Crane) is much more scarier but in a good way because in the movie, he is smart and handsome and it takes a couple of scenes with him to realize he's evil. It gives the plot more of the intenseness. With Joker though, I found that he had no reason for what he was doing and he was simply a sadist. No matter what, nothing would change his mind and he just loved to kill needlessly, therefore not a good plot. All this to say, Cillian pwns!
Wow. I know I've seen the movie, but his acting just gets better and better as I keep watching. Yes, he is cute; it freaked me out a tiny bit when I first saw this scene.
Scarecrow has to use his special chemical gases to induce fear in people. the Joker himself simply causes fear because of how twisted he is. You never really know what to expect of him. He's also very intelligent.
id like to see what you can do. asshole. can you create mass chaos within the city like its an everyday thing? can you hook a mass explosive up to a cell phone and then sticth it into some1s skin? would you burn that much money? i wanna see you divide the people into two groups, just to see what they would do, kill each other, or save?
You are an ignorant retard who looks at the "flaw" that the joker has. The Guy is a pure genius, but ur too stupid to notice because ur too bent on his makeup.
he doesn't stitch the cellphone into the guy, the guy ate it. it's so the joker's website. yes, he has a website. the cakes had cellphones and were poisoned.
No one just swallows a cellphone whole. That's extremely difficult if not impossible. And if the guy ate it, you wouldn't be able to see the cellphone light flashing through his skin like that. There is also a large stitch-like scar and bruising caused by blood - called a "contusion" which is the word used by the prison medic in the movie - It must have been stitched in! I guess you'd have to ask the screenwriters to be 100% sure.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i dont know maybe it was stiched in. but how would he stitch it into that guy willingly? thats kind of gross. oh well. i just thought he ate the cellphone because i dont know. i kind of thought that from what it said on the website.
Maybe you should read the comics and pay closer attention to the movie before you talk bad about it. He doesnt wear makeup by choice, he doesnt have scars by choice, he isnt insane by choice. In my opinion, the Joker is one of the most influential people ive ever seen. Joker shows everyone how much fun they can have besides the fact that theyve been scarred by the people around them. im guessing ur too dumb to look deeper within the movie because ur too dumb cus mommy didnt love you enough
He is insane by choice, read the Killing Joke, he says that if everything goes wrong, theres an escape, which is madness. Which means a choice.
If we're talking about the movie, we know he wears make-up by choice because he isn't wearing Make up when he tries to kill the Mayor. Maybe you're looking a bit too deep into the character of the Joker, he's chosen to go insane because its better than confronting the truth.
And stop insulting people for not reading a comic.

Isn't that line a call-back to one of the comics?
TheRealCodeBlack 3 years ago 3
Wow. I know I've seen the movie, but his acting just gets better and better as I keep watching. Yes, he is cute; it freaked me out a tiny bit when I first saw this scene.

dude the joker is weak, all he doese is wear makeup and tell stories.ooh wow thats sooo scary.
xaioxaio11 3 years ago
WTF.
The real Joker is a product of chemical bleaching and just as psychodic and deadly as his "make-up wearing, story teeling" counterpart.
You're pretty much the dumbest person I've heard in my life who's tried to talk about comic books.
buttholesurfer666 3 years ago
psh your all talk and no walk i bet your a 38 year old virgin still living with your mom.
xaioxaio11 3 years ago
Actually, I'm 16 and I know what 2nd base is like. I don't see you walking too much either, slick.
buttholesurfer666 3 years ago

xaioxaio11 3 years ago
WTF did you just say?
buttholesurfer666 3 years ago
im saying your making it up you dumb fuck
xaioxaio11 3 years ago

BikouTenma 3 years ago
he doesn't stitch the cellphone into the guy, the guy ate it. it's so the joker's website. yes, he has a website. the cakes had cellphones and were poisoned.
gothamcitybatman 3 years ago
No one just swallows a cellphone whole. That's extremely difficult if not impossible. And if the guy ate it, you wouldn't be able to see the cellphone light flashing through his skin like that. There is also a large stitch-like scar and bruising caused by blood - called a "contusion" which is the word used by the prison medic in the movie - It must have been stitched in! I guess you'd have to ask the screenwriters to be 100% sure.

i dont know maybe it was stiched in. but how would he stitch it into that guy willingly? thats kind of gross. oh well. i just thought he ate the cellphone because i dont know. i kind of thought that from what it said on the website.
gothamcitybatman 3 years ago
dude there was a giant scar on the guy and im pretty sure the joker would be manical enough to rip his flesh open... although it is gross
darkbatman36987 3 years ago
Maybe you should read the comics and pay closer attention to the movie before you talk bad about it. He doesnt wear makeup by choice, he doesnt have scars by choice, he isnt insane by choice. In my opinion, the Joker is one of the most influential people ive ever seen. Joker shows everyone how much fun they can have besides the fact that theyve been scarred by the people around them. im guessing ur too dumb to look deeper within the movie because ur too dumb cus mommy didnt love you enough
BikouTenma 3 years ago
so basicly your saying i cant have an opinion and I HAVE to think the same as you. wow you must have no life
xaioxaio11 3 years ago 2
He is insane by choice, read the Killing Joke, he says that if everything goes wrong, theres an escape, which is madness. Which means a choice.
If we're talking about the movie, we know he wears make-up by choice because he isn't wearing Make up when he tries to kill the Mayor. Maybe you're looking a bit too deep into the character of the Joker, he's chosen to go insane because its better than confronting the truth.
And stop insulting people for not reading a comic.

Joker isn't the master of fear, Batman is.

Batman has fears. The Joker has none at all.
buttholesurfer666 3 years ago 8
maybe it's people turning on HIM that joker is scared of. did you see his face when the 2 boats didn't blow up. priceless.
gothamcitybatman 3 years ago 5
Yeah, it was funny. But, seriously, nothing scares the Joker.
buttholesurfer666 3 years ago
well...actually i meant he looked very disappointed and a little confused. but ok!
gothamcitybatman 3 years ago
the only thing that joker hates is not getting what he wants he likes killing
