it was a great loss to the opera in general, to think of the lost potential and the parts he could have sung. Beautiful and pure, heavenly singing.

Indeed! I am none too fond of the tenor voice, but he is my utmost favourite.
Herr Wunderlich is much-missed still, and so, so sad he died so early of a freak accident, while at the prime of life, and at the height of his career!
