Saw the Saint (1st Tour) open up for W.A.S.P. & Metallica (Ride the Lightning) @ Mid Hudson Civic Center in N.Y. back in the 80's - cool as hell. Went with an older broad who dug Metal - 'Nuff said - it was a good time to be in High School!!! Rock on headbangers everywhere!. I listen to "Delirious Nomad" all the time as I paint for fun - it relaxes me - too funny!!! John Bush is a great frontman & everyone knows about how good the original lineup was. Dave is up there smiling somewhere!

I remember him partying at the Now Voyager on a few ocasions. Great band live. Catch them if you can. The hardcore fans blew a load when they found out Phil was re-joining the band. @izzypop100 Yeah but some people don't know. Tell you what is also not known over in the US. When John Bush joined Anthrax, there were a lot of questions asking who he even was in the UK. Armoured Saint were not unknown, just not very well known. Also the typical response was Armoured Saint were a crap band and John Bush made the better move (from the pro Bush camp of Anthrax fans of course). Me I quite like this myself. He really chucks his voice about with AS. Was more dark and edgy in Anthrax

For thouse who do not know John was asked to join metallica around 1984. He said no, because he felt armored saint would be the bigger band. I think john is one of the best singers of all time. I mean the man has a timeless voice. Armored Saint never made it really big because people did not know what to make of them. Are they thrash or the nwobhm. At this time metal fans were more divided, unlike today where things have opened up more.
