  • I was just wondering instead of using pipe covers could you use pool noodles? They are the long foam that float in the water.

  • How much fabric did it take you to cover all the slats? Please reply!! :)

  • i like this idea but how much did u spend on the foamy thing and i was thinking u can also make it for the top part as well so they dont try to chew of the crib my son did that to his crib but now i got an inea thanks !

  • They are really cute. Im not crazy about the idea of using polyethylene in a place where I'd be having my baby sleep though. I would switch that out for a padded cotton padding. Other than that, good job!

  • Can some pretty please give me an idea of how much fabric I would need on a typical crib....I can order my fabric by the yard however the fabric I want is $38/yard!! I read somewhere that it would take about 12 yards to cover 40 slats which will put me close to $500... :( Any insights??

  • omg i love this!!!!!! thank you soooooo much for this video.

  • Gorgeous. The only thing I would change is put white ribbon on purple bumper, and vice versa.

  • Thanks so much for posting this video!! I plan on doing our babies nursery myself (if its a girl, DH fell in love with a pirate set for a boy lol) and this video is amazing!! I can't wait to start on the set I am going to make :)

  • how much fabric did you use and how much was that? what was the total cost for the whole project? i have a 2 month old and we just got his crib today... i want to make these bumpers but im strapped for cash most of the time. how affordable is this project?

  • This is really cute and a great alternative to making a standard bumper. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!

  • I've tried everywhere and can't find it. Not sure how much you paid for your foam insulation but the stores don't sell the 2". Do you have any suggestions for 2" foam.

  • @jselfallen We got ours at Home Depot, but I'm not sure if they have 2". Have you tried looking online? Or asking Home Depot if they can order it?

  • real cute like the idea how about instead of glue I would use velcro?

  • @naccosme Ya that could work. Would be a lot of velcro though!

  • This is amazing. I had this idea last night but discovered that it was already invented. However I never thought of pipe insulation!! Way to think outside the box. :)

  • I was wondering where you ordered your pipe insulation from and how much did a box cost? Great tutorial!!!!

  • @NaturallyYoshiboo The whole box cost 68, but we only used half.

  • Awesome!! thanx!!! :)

  • how do i know how much fabric to buy? I have 36 bars that are 24 inches tall and 16 that are 26 5/8 inches tall.

  • Thank you so much for this video! I desparately want these for my baby when it is born and knew I could not afford the cost to buy them. I can do this! And no sew too?! Amazing!

  • Thank you for posting this! I have been trying to figure out a way to make these and you solved it : ) where did you buy the pipe insulation?

  • How much did they cost in total?

  • @twobabyboyz About 80 dollars.

  • I love this idea! To fix the fabric problem you could try a hot glue gun. I think I may try this with our second! Then use the glue gun to glue ribbon so they cant be removed :) now if we have a boy I may have to try something else LOL Think it looks great. Very creative!!

  • @beautyisnteverything Thanks! And, great idea :) I already hope your next is a girl!

  • Great idea!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • @xxxMommaRobertsxxx Your welcome, and thanks! :)

  • that is hella cute! creativityI neva whould have thought of this!!! awesome!

  • @DownSoufChick Thanks :)

  • Adorable! I would be nervous about the baby pulling of the ribbon? How could you prevent it?

  • @kardancer1 We had ribbons on our older daughters crib and she never touched them. But, you could try using double sided tape to finish, rather that ribbons.

  • I think i may do this I LOVE IT. Thanks for sowing this!

  • @alairasmommy Your welcome!

  • thats awesome! something i may do in the future :)

  • wow! what a brilliant idea, and it looks adorable!

  • Very inventive

  • I wish I had known about this sooner! My son is a year old and is notorious for waking himself up because he bangs his head off the slats. Bumper pads suck! I'm making these for the next baby!

  • you should make and sell these on etsy;)

  • that is sooooo cute!!!! any suggestions for boys instead of bows?

  • @jo38me Thanks! Someone suggested using double sided tape to finish the ends... so that might work :)

  • OMG love it i'm adding it to my favorites. Thanks Allison just one question what is Mod Podge is it Glue what we in NZ call PVA glue white glue that turns clear when dry?

  • @cali290501 Glad you liked it! Mod Podge is a type of glue I believe, and it does dry clear. It is a very mild glue however, and non toxic.

  • This is way cuter than the typical bumper and so much safer. I will definitely have to either make these or buy them when we decide to have our next baby!! =)
