  • el scorcho song...my favret band ever song from weezer..

  • yeah, you can definitely see how dashboard's been influenced by weezer... rivers has faded a bit on the songwriting, but they're still one of the better bands out there. Pinkerton is a work of art.

  • so in conclusion, there are certain songs that should be off bounds.

  • el scorcho

  • whats this song called

  • @Seanh3651 el scorcho off of weezer's album Pinkerton

  • Weezer's is so much better...

  • I love Chris Carrabba. :D

  • Why do you think Chris and all of his contemporaries play Weezer songs?

It is because they we influenced by them early in their careers, Chris is just paying homage to his elder statesman Rivers. To insinuate that Dashboard plays the song better than Weezer is blasphemous and I am sure Chris would even agree with me on that one. Pinkerton is so well respected among musicians because it came from a place that is very real in terms of songwritting.

  • wrong.

  • "Chris took this awkward mess and made it into an enjoyable song. "

    What?

Carrabba's version is almost exactly the same as Weezer. Your view of Pinkerton may be an opinion, but it's wrong anyways.

  • your wrong buddy give it up

  • fuck the nay sayers - awesome cover

  • Actually not such a bad cover. Not as good by any means but not bad.

  • an embarrassment to music.

  • Is it bad that I like this cover better than the original?

  • oh come on

    these emo posers suck

  • yeah very

  • its sad since they didnt change anything like at all cept for adding a couple harmonies or annoying upper octave things

emo shouldnt touch things as awesome as weezer

  • pretty good cover

  • Wow this is actually pretty good

  • I'm a lot like you so please...

  • and im jellooo babyyyy

  • Goddamn you half Japanese girls!

  • haha who said weezer is a pop-punk emo band??? lol ur an idiot. btw theres a studio version of this cover on the wire tapes vol. 1, but that cd is a pain in the ass to find

  • You're right, it was a pain in the ass to find when Chris first released it (as it was only sold at concerts) but after the tour was over, it was available on the dashboard website... I don't know if it still is, though.

  • I was there!! amazing concert, and he took my hand when he left the scene :i

    I LOVE HIM! :D

  • oh.. good for you

  • They did this on the rockband tour!

  • I was there! They were great indeed

  • EL SCORCHO! *woopwoop*

  • its the cool that they chris recognizes his roots...pinkerton the first real emo album and its actually amazing

  • it wasnt an emo album....jimmy eat world are emo not weezer...theyr too cool to be emo...

  • well yeah i know kids these days might not call weezer "emo" but their pop punk sound and lyrics about girls and loneliness defiantly inspired pop punk emo bands of the late 90s and on...chris even says they were a big influence on him....and just for the record i really hate emo punk but dashboard is cool....

  • i agree, however, weezer came out before the term "emo" was coined. before that it was just called being a passionate musician.

  • not to try to one up you or anything, but the term "emo" was coined in like the late 70's or early 80's along with the hardcore movement i.e. badbrains, dead kennedys, black flag. and "emo" was the part of that genre that was denounced due to its emotional stage presence, however, it didn't mean "emotional" or it meant emotive hardcore

  • i have the same guitar as the guy on the left..his right =D

  • el scorcho.............. gagarahhhh

  • I was also there - but only to see Dashboard! :D I love them and finally i saw them perform after years of waiting! ^^ Thank you so 'effing' very much for uploading the videos, wonderful memories! :)

  • must admit not too keen on the newer dashboard stuff, saw em just before the mission album and it was the best gig i have ever been too

  • I was there too :D They were great, - even though I had never heard of them before :D

But of cause Maroon 5 was the best :D

  • They were good, but Maroon 5 was the bestest.. hahah
