@crimescene29 well I will do something to help change the world. I plan to join the Army after highschool. I want to make a difference and if I have a family one day, I wnat them to live in a better world then they are now. And its not that I hate the government its just that I don't trust them (then again I don't trust anyone).
Plus I know that the British have been aiding us with the war on terror, I think they have sent in the British commandos or something of that nature, they've had the same success rate as our troops have, I have no clue where your getting your "facts" from

However it’s been proven that small fragments travel faster than bullets at a close proximity to the explosion, plus there are other factors such as the concussion of the explosion in a confined space and ricochets. There are also different types of munitions for weapons platforms ranging from high to low velocities depending on the mission and role that weapon systems is suppose to fill.
The MK-19 only has a velocity of 790 fps and you can see the rounds going down range. Grenades are not fired at that high of velocity so it is not imposable for the shrapnel to travel faster. Shrapnel’s velocity is controlled by how fast the explosive material used to propel the fragments burns and how rapidly the gasses expand.
