I didn't like the beginning so much, but as the remix goes on...it gets much better. I just wish they didn't mess with Ben's vocals, but otherwise, it's new and different and interesting. This remix EP is just Death Cab finding new ways to evolve. I like it.

As a big Chris Walla fan, I'm finding these mixes missing the very thing that draws me to Death Cab the most-- Chris's fantastic arranging. I dig the concept of the re-mix album, and it's certainly appropriate for this more keyboard-centered album. However, so far the remixes aren't matching the level of artistry in the originals. I DO think the remix album is worth exploring if for nothing other than to see how these songs take on life in the hands of other artists.
