I'm not totally sure about the details on what the chia seeds contain or don't. My sister is on a new diet and uses them on salads and soaks then in water ans eats them plan. Apparently marathon runners are soaking them in water and then eating them before races because told so much liquid.
Love time lapsed photography...what was the base you grew the Chia seeds on in your video >>>I've heard using a terra cotta dish was great to use, but so many come with lead and chemilcals. Hope you can help.
@PHOTOXITY Not sure if this information is of any use to you. But we got some cress growing in a tub from the super market, and when all the cress was eaten! my uncle took the soil and roots out the tub, turned it upside down and back in the tub, put a 1 centimetre layer of moist cotton wool, sprinkled some some chia seeds on top. They grew really well. When they got to about 6inches he tranplanted the whole lot out side, it grew to around 4ft but then the frost came and killed it all.
can you do sunflower seeds this way as well?

You will have to forgive me, I do not remember exactly how long it took me. I believe it was 4-6 days.
