Arma is one of the few games that will make you hate war and not want to participate in a real one . You realize just how vulnerable you are. 2 bullets and youre gone, unlike CoD where 3 breaths take away the damage done by a whole clip.

They Invaded Iraq to take down Saddam Hussein because he slaughtered many of his own people, and was almost capable of having nuclear weapons.

They're in Afghanistan to kill terrorists(or insurgents, if that fits better) and help stabilize the country's government and army.

If in fighting for their country, you mean fighting for allah? The Iraqi people have no reason to fight now because they're only fighting their own kind. Those normal Iraqis fighting for their country happen to also place IED's in urban areas and force hard-working people to give up their sons or see them slaughtered.

you have been asking about how to tell pilot land automaticly. It is easy : Method 1: Tell pilot (if he's in your team ) to land/disembark, Method 2: You get in chopper, pilot fly to the marked point ( MOVE , then LOAD OUT) Heli will land and it will stay or fly away if you make another point for it.

Has the framerate improved since the patches were released? Because I downloaded the demo, and while I was able to run the game at roughly 25Fps at high medium to high settings I felt that the performance wasn't great.

arma is most realistic and you have huge maps. in arma 1 i think you got 45 km2. and in arma 2 you got 225 km2, of maps. and it is more like a simulator. cod 4 is more like small maps and run around and shoot alone. not so much teamwork there. but i got both and i think cod is a really good game but i like arma best. because of the physix, the gameplay and the teamwork

ARMA is much more realistic. It's a soldier simulation game. You have to be really careful if you don't want to die as a single hit can kill you if you're unlucky. It's almost as close you can come to being a soldier without actually having to be a RL soldier. CoD 4 is more like a action movie. You run and shoot like crazy. You regenerate health and its overall not very realistic. I like them both personally, but for different reasons.
