  • YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO UNDERGROUND HIP HOP.... ITS WAY BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HEAR ON THE RADIO ( UGHH.COM )

  • Damn...I'd do anything for the radio to play dear momma or any other 2pac song...

  • @Pavlovable13 I KNOW RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!! THATS MY SONG RIGHT THERE!!!!!!

  • I agree, my man. Radio shoves the same 15 songs into people's faces, til they believe it's as good as the puppeteers say it is. Radio worshipers will deny anything they hear that ISN'T played on the radio or DOESN'T have a music video. They're so used to having everything shoved down their throats to dictate what they should and shouldn't like, when they haven't even developed their own personal taste yet. They end up distrusting their own ears and are incapable of making their own decisions.

  • AMEN BRO!!!

  • That would be a radio station that I would listen too!

  • Nigga u so damn stupid they play that music cuz it's popular

  • @KiDCuTty100

how does it become popular without the radio playing it? Fact is, the radio introduces you to things.

    LOVE A PUPPY :)

  • GREAT TOPIC !!!!!!!! I agree with what you said !!!!!

Here is one of the problems also though there is something called "Pay-To-Play" where a record company would pay a radio station in advance a certain amount of money to play a given song at a certain amount of times within a day...so you get the idea now it makes you wonder if this is taking place also with Hip Hop as well are record companies paying large sums of money to contiguously play artists like Lil Wayne? very scary huh!

  • do u think this government wants a thinking society? a lot of the hip-hop on the radio is being run by free-masons and their agenda is dumb people down, that includes music, hence this is why they play stupid music, because it breeds stupid people and that's the sad truth.

  • I pretty much always agree with you and this trend has not discontinued itself on this video either. Of course I crossed over to the dork side a long time ago too so I still have to elaborate on what you said. I'm from detroit and we have the WORST radio station for hip hop. We have A LOT of good artists but the radio station will not play them because detroit and the metropolitan area does not listen to original stuff. It's HARD to hear something good from a hip hop station in detroit.

  • one day i said, ok im gonna try the radio, the very first thing i hear is, ok were gonna play a oldschool jam.....on comes nelly....its getting hot in here......i turn off the radio and pop in L.O.T.U.G

  • LOL what nelly olschool? thats an outrage!

  • Its just you living in the south (specifically ATL that has guchi mane gettin' any spins). Nobody plays that shit here; on the other hand, they do play ol' tired ass pitbull to death.

  • Hiphop was around before Kool Herc, he was the 1st make it public or expand it or whatever.

  • you're right about that

  • Every since I got into hip hop in the 90s I've hated local radio stations. They played the same garbage over and over again. Every now and then you'll hear one or two nice songs on the radio but overall they just playing the same stuff 24/7.

I think with satellite radio it's gotten better because you can tune into to stations that play the stuff you like. The problem is I would never pay to listen to the radio...that shit is suppose to be free..lol.

  • I see your a Southern Hip Hop Head. I have a question for you. Who do you consider the King of the South? I know it's been a lot of discussion out there but to me no words are needed. It's fucking Andre 3000 with out a doubt. Just wondering your opinion.

  • nah I think scarface is the king of the south!

  • T.I. still has the crown in my opinion. I refuse to acknowledge Rick Ross as a dominant force right now I don't dig his music. I think guys like Andre 3000, Big Boi, Cee Lo, Face, 8ball are all legends and shouldn't really be up for the title as king of the south. To me that's a younger generation thing so it's between the likes of TI, Ludacris, Jeezy, Wayne etc.

  • your right on this one, today real hip hop is not on the radio, every time i walk out the streets i hear ppl playing annoying ass songs that get the youth fucked up in their heads, and the radio are bunch of no good lying racist motherfuckers who deny poetic hip hop tracks been played because of the lame excuse saying their from the ghetto, listen to ice cube's Turn Off The Radio, he talks about that same shit

  • How can a song called "I'm so hood" that is wack as hell get on radio spots every 10 minutes, but real music of the ghetto, hood, barrio, slums whatever you call it, doesn't get any recognition at all. BTW corporate shills could only hijack hiphop if the people allow it. And the people (the same ones who voted for bush twice) have spoken.

  • the corporate record labels are promoting songs like that to get their shit played, and radio managers also give radip host a playlist of the top song that will be played, they never pkayed anything real

  • not ever gonna happen it will never be close to like it use to be . . . . . ever

  • If I heard Eyedea on the radio i'd get really excited...I agree with everything you said but to keep a good audience they would have to play songs like lil wayne every once in a while to keep those people that like those types of songs listening. Because of this video I'm gonna go buy myself a public enemy album..any suggestions which one i should get...The only album i have that is before my time is Illmatic.

  • oh you had to ask LOL! theres plenty you should get: Liquid Swords, It was written, Reasonable Doubt, Ready to die, Tical, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 1 & 2, Ironman, Supreme Clinetele, 36 Chambers, Dah Shinin, The Diary, We can't be stopped, ATLeins, Aquemini, The Blowout Comb, Black Sunday, Breaking Atoms, Dare Iz A Darkside, & Illadelph Halftime just to name a few!

  • Well which one is your favorite?...Narrow it down haha

  • Pensmoke's right, payola has messed up our music. I thought the radio dj plays shit that he likes, not shit that he's payed to play. why do we even need a radio dj anymore anyway? I plan on doin a vid about that.

  • I can't live without my radiooooo. Dun nuh nuh! Love that song man. You are right though man the radio is the same crap over and over. Can we say, payola? lol

  • I agree the radio needs some diversification. And nice shirt btw. lol
