Why can't I get a little reward every once in a while? Why can't I get a pat in the back when I solve a case? Why does no one appreciate my work? Why am I forced to work in a desolate wreck of a town where the only comfort I get is by sleeping next to a bottle of booze? Why isn't there just a light at the end of the tunnel that ends it all for me? All I'm left to do is walk the train tracks to search that light. Search that light for as long as I'm damned to this shithole of a place.
