Shoot a bulleye's tag at it's core once and point in any ole direction and keep your finger on the fire button.

Another tip. At 00:10, you can throw a backlash grenade at that opening. And then stand there and toss in a grenade and use your machine gun's rocket launcher to blow up all the chimera's before they exit the metal canister.

My first two games were Marvel Ultimate Alliance and COD3. About a week later, I bought Resistance. And it was THIS particular stage with the stalker that opened my eyes to what the PS3 is all about. It was and still is the amazing experience in PS3 history to me, considering that my last gaming was on the Sega Saturn.

Try the tips though. If you happen to have a laark, you can use the alternate fire to kill a stalker in only one shot. Shoot the missle and then press L1 and hold it to stop the missle in mid-are. While still holding L1, press R1 to spray a ton of mini-laark-missles in all directions. If properly placed, the alternate fire can take down a stalker in one shot.

Wow....then me and my brother must have been suckerz to take like 15 minutes to kill it...But we did it on a low difficulty because well, I have never really played a game with a controller(like PS3) and...i guess because there was 2 of us playing at the same time, so it was obvious it would make it a bit harder than it should be

To give PS3 naysayers an opportunity to see how good the PS3 really is, you could've cliked the L3 button to do a closeup on the stalker during battle every now and then. It would've been dramatic, like a movie.

If you hide behind the train / convoy, you can simply pop out of hiding, tag the stalker with the bullseye tag, pop back in, aim the air in the sky, and let it rip weapons free. And repeat. The stalker will never ever get you when you're shielded by the convoy / train.

Aim the "bullseye gun" I meant into the sky and then let it rip. The bulletns will home into the stalker like metal to magnets.

You don't really need to aim at the power core. You can tag the stalker's leg if you want. But if you hide behind the train / convoy, you're completely out of harm from the stalker. It can't touch you. You can duck under the convoy, too.

Frieda88, as another tip on the dropships in this stage, just go the right side of the dropship and wait there. When the door is about to open, throw a back-lash grenade and then step inside the shield. Once the door opens, throw a couple of grenades, shoot your machine gun's grenade launcher, and most of the Chimeras won't even have a chance to step outside of that metal box.

And if you're really impatient, you can actually whip out your Auger and shoot at them while they're still stuck inside that metal canister. I haven't tried that yet, but I might. It's really unnecessary because my other method works really well.
