I agree that Palin doesn't need to be protected by the rest of her party. I think she's got a better sense of what she stands for than McCain does. Everyone I know who saw both McCain's speech and her speech agree that hers was better.

I also think it's unfair to compare Palin to Bill Clinton. Clinton LIED IN COURT! That makes it more than a personal issue. Palin hasn't denied anything that I know of, certainly not under oath.
