I felt sorry for Magus near the end. Poor guy gets thrown through time by Lavos and then obsesses over destroying it and saving/avenging his sister. Brother of the year.

First time I played the game, I was like everyone else thinking that Magus had created Lavos. Then you find out his real name is Janus, and in the Kingdom of Zeal he had no magic power at all. I was happy to have him on my team, especially when I went into the Black Omen. I let him have vegeance on that crazy lady he called a mother.

Ah, Magus....I remember my 1st fight against him. I beat him my first try, but it was a long battle. For sure, one of the tougher bosses of the game.

people who think this boss is hard just doesn't know what they are doing, i got this on the third try. he was the hardest boss in the game for me so far, and no, i have not gone into the dimensional vortex, nor have i gone into the lost sanctum, so i do not know if there are any harder bosses.

I don't remember going out of my way to do any grinding or anything, so I don't think so. As far as I remember, my party consisted of Chrono, Frog, and Lucca.

Man he was fun.. What ya gotta do is Abuse marle. Shes the best in healin. Then keep usin frog and the matsumo or whatever. He grows weaker each time. Use chrono to attack him directly..

Crono and Ayla's Falcon Hit 2HKO his hands. He's pretty much useless without it as he cant attack. If he revives the hands and simply Falcon Hit them again for an instant KO. Continue hitting the head with your strongest techs. Golem Sisters/Twins were harder IMO.

Just don't attack the golem twins phisically and they'll be a piece of cake... even better to use water type... they'll just use a weak water attack, xD!!

@MrBassWill I didn't find them hard at all. You can abuse their copy tech quite easily, wear Black/White/Blue/Red Vest and/or Plate and use the corresponding Elemental attack. Their attacks will heal the ones wearing the right vest/plate.
