This game was ok, but I still thing Twilight Princess was better. Not because it's more realistic, but I felt the dungeons were better and the rewards felt better.

Going on.... Before you even think of criticizing a certain game of its poor contents, try it or learn of its history to see if its right for you. To all you people who are ruining this comments page and this video with its "poor graphics" complaints, keep your negative comments to yourselves. You don't need to express your feelings towards Skyward Sword to the world! i've made my point.
Another thing. There's plenty of good games with bad graphics- take Windwaker for example. Graphics doesn't even matter to a game. Story and the pure enjoyment of a game is what matters because you ( the player ) get to know more about the history and the origins of the game itself and you get to experience in the game's assets. Think of the positives that all the games we play answers to the question "Why i am enjoying this?" instead of the negatives and focus more on the game itself.
To all these people who always complain with these replies such as "This Zelda has the worst graphics in the history of Zelda." or "Why are these graphics so horrible. it looks so gay and childish." and so on... I've got two words to say to that: GROW UP! Humph. You people criticizing this game of minor details such as the graphics are acting like total crybabies. Why don't get the fact that some of us don't have issues for these graphics and that they're supposed to be cell shaded.

@Vinnyboy333 Says you. The art style in SS is the best art style I've seen a game use. It's one of the few games, along with Wind Waker, which I think will age well in terms of graphics.

@Vinnyboy333 Actually, the real theme is Zelda's lullaby, which is played backwards for Skyward Sword because The legend Of Zelda is actually based on the princess of Hyrule herself. Have you ever heard of cell-shading? The graphics are supposed to be like an impressionist art. It's not cartoonish at all....

@Vinnyboy333 What do you mean by " realistic graphics"? I happen to like the cell-shaded graphics for Zelda. It makes the game more alive than the polygon-shaped graphics of Oot. Cell-shading Skyward Sword makes it more charming and more of an adventure that strikes you with excitement at every turn and every moment. Cell-shaded graphics vs. Ocarina graphics?..... I'd choose neither but if I had a favorite, I'd go with cell-shading anytime...

@Vinnyboy333 Seriously! Stop making a big fuss over the Skyward Sword graphics. Those graphics enhanced the facial expressions of SS's characters rather than Oot, MM and the older Zelda series. Ocarina ( for the 64 ) sorta lost its luster- it still is a good game but it doesn't offer newer technology and the story is more understandable in SS. That's what Zelda needs: newer graphics which give up for its legend and recent changes...

I knew Zelda since I was like twelve years old or even younger.. so comparing other Zelda games to Oot ( which was one of the first games I've ever played ) would be a huge factor in life because Zelda has been an icon for 25 years and there is flaws with Ocarina of Time: equipping the damn Iron Boots was a pain!!! - and the story was boring after you've beaten it- nothing to do... Zelda's a legacy and it needs to remain that way with newer upgrades-hence the graphics...

@Vinnyboy333 Sailing throughout the Great Sea Of Crap was sooo long and boring that it just took the fun out of the game... i mean wouldn't you be freaked out if you got lost at sea or got suck by a huge BigOcto ( which, in fact, I truly found them a pain in the ass ) Whenever I'd see seagulls flying overhead, i'd just think to myself " Oh crap! I'm screwed!" Sailing in Windwaker was a nightmare! Horseback riding was ok until you were able to use your sword on horseback.
@20DarkNaruto I used to always run ouut of bombs while figthing those gay octopus -___-... but i really loved figthing on horseback, but i guess i expected a bit too much from this new hability since it wasnt as great as I thou it would be :/...the first time i got on the horse in oot, I literally freaked out xD...It was so fuckin awesome!!..sigh childhood memory.

@Vinnyboy333 The enemy in Windwaker that I found the most disturbing was the Redead. I mean, it looks like they're masturbating Link... They were plenty of brilliant ideas for the Windwaker but it all backfired into a more lazy cartoon game. And I guess the Wizzrobe looked a lot like Toucan Sam... Damn Makar!!! He had to get eaten by a retarded plant!!! I'm referring to the Forbidden Forest, which I reall hated ( especially those Morths and Mothulas).

@Vinnyboy333 I found the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time pretty creepy if you ask me. i remember that I once had to beat a Stalfos ( so annoying ) over again because i did not kill the rest in time. Same thing happened when escaping Ganon's castle with Zelda... Yeah, the Tower of the gods disappointed me too... I expected more of a challenging dungeon.... Thank god there are no Redead in SS.

@20DarkNaruto omg lv'e been stuck for sooo long at that part where you have to collect the triforce shard :P..What I enjoyed from the sailing accross the sea is the part where you discover every square of the maps by randomly visiting them. I was always exciting about finding something new in the next square of the map :P..I enjoyed that part...And my favorite temple in oot is the water temple!! ^^
@Vinnyboy333 Yep. I sure enjoyed sailing across the sea and explore new areas as well, well until Link got an awkward visit by a BigOcto or Cyclos... I also enjoy breaking the rich man's priceless vases ( in the mansion-like house located on Windfall island ) and getting away clean without paying him... it's funny how Link can just get away with breaking and entering...
@Vinnyboy333 Water temple was a real pain in the ass for me. I got lost a lot!!! Getting the Megaton hammer was hard too... my favorite temple would be the Shadow temple! i always try to bring the Stalfos down with the ferry! My favorite boss would probably be Gyorg from MM because he looks really cool and he requires two phases to kill him: one is to stun him and the next hit takes damage. And Gyorg's vulnerability is only his eye.
@20DarkNaruto I loved the water temple cause as soon as I got rid of it (before all my friends) I was able to brag about it because I ad absolutely no difficulty beating over over over and over again xD My friends ad a lots of trouble going trhough it twice...They kept asking me how to beat it XDDD...And the shadow temple was the freakiest one O.O...omg...I remember as I child omgomgomgomg xDDDthe mummy freaked the hell out of me as they were screaming at me and freezing me xDDDD.
@20DarkNaruto Fire temple was the one I had the most difficulty getting trough :/...I don't like it as you have to save those stupid big fat ass Goron xD and even today i keep felling down as I am trying to get that hammer ahah..But I over enjoyed Volvagia figth in the crater. Most epic battle I think (except for that Ganon at the end)
@20DarkNaruto My favorite boss would be Ghoma (the first) as I once took 45 minute to beat it when I was 7 xDDDDDD ( no JOKE) My heart was over beating like if my heart was about to explode. I HAD CRAPPY LOADS!!! of difficulty beating it XDD..im serious..And today I take about 13 seconds to kill it..He's like my reference at how I was bad at the time and how I became a master of this game today. ( I over finished this game entirely opening EVERY possible big and little chest in the world)

@Vinnyboy333 Have you ever seen the graphics in Skyward Sword ( other than the trailer )? Ocarina Of Time isn't the " cream of the crop " and it will never be. Skyward Sword brings back the forgotten flashbacks and the story of how our young hero and his friend ( Zelda ) becomes the Chosen One, Zelda becomes a princess and Ganon's birth. We should actually thank Skyward Sword for believing on how our hero became such an icon. Ocarina Of Time was just a unknown story...

The fact that it hits us with childhood memories and unforgettable nostalgia... no Zelda is better than others and graphics are just not to worry about in a game! @Vinnyboy333 Have you ever even seen the SS graphics??? The graphics do not look kiddish, they actually look like anime style! Ocarina settled for more of a "polygon"-related type of characters and 3D landscapes with bare buildings. Truly,I like the revamped 3ds version of Oot better than its 64 counterpart because it offers more of a challenge ( Master Quest ) and the buildings are more furnished. I have nothing against the 64 version. Btw SS got a 10/10 from IGN,which clearly is a masterpiece!

@20DarkNaruto The next zelda on Wii U will be in HD as the console itself will be as powerfull as the xbox 360 probably even more which will allow the console to read even more polygon in real time (which means, the resolution of every object in the game will be upgraded)

Look closely at SS- you could say that there are some Twilight Princess graphic along with Windwaker ( the landscapes are magnificent ). This is just the trailer showing the game. Let it go. You can't change everyone else's future just because you're unhappy with the graphics. I HATED the graphics in Windwaker ( those graphics were too cartoonish ) but, overall i still liked the game.

@Vinnyboy333 Technically speaking the old graphic style is top down pixel art. Twilight Princess is still a fairly recent addition to the Zelda series. Ocarina of Time was never meant to be realistic in it's art style. OoT 3D's art is the original art for OoT which wasn't fully present in the 64 version due to hardware limitations. The art in OoT is actually more manga / anime derived, especially in the face models, than realism (mind you manga / anime style art has always been used for Zelda).

I, for one, am in agreement with you because cell-shading and giving SS a mix of Twilight Princess and Windwaker art style was the BEST idea they had!!!! Kudos Nintendo!!! And you know what? The art style is more realistic in SS and gives Zelda a different new experience to it.

This zelda is a masterpiece and the graphics are supposed to be cell-shaded, giving it a mix of Twilight Princess and blend it with Windwaker.
All I can say is, the story of this game blows all of the other zelda game stories by far! Aside from that, this game got me like no other game has ever done, I just finished it today and I still can't go over it. Everytime a new plot element was revealed, I was overwhelmed by all of the greatness! Now move over ocarina of time, you were good but the time has come for another game to take your place, a game that revolutionized motion control, just like how you revolutionized open-world 3d game.
@bouchandre i disagree with your opinion, plus I hate when people say their opinion like its a fact. I don't feel that SS is anywhere near the greatness of OoT and MM (I hold those 2 as equals). It is a great game, but I dont find SS worth a second playthrough. The glicthy overused motion controls, too short dungeons... saving the world is a sidequest story... I doubt SS will have the fame it has now in 10 years. I respect and understand your opinion, not trying to bash on yours.

I dunno, I like the fantasyworld kinda view in this game, but, the graphics in Twilight Princess were awesome too, since they made the game look a bit more... i dunno... unhappy?

I'm sorry, but at this point in the CENTURY, Technology is RELEVANT, Graphics quality is RELEVANT. Everything is in HD now for a reason... when the DVDs started to replace video tapes, companies MOVED on, when 1080p was achieved, MICROSOFT and SONY moved on and IMPROVED whereas Nintendo (hear me out on this) Nintendo HAS a GREAT POTENTIAL for games, but they're being LAZY, and IRRELEVANT in today's tech. For God's Sake! They're in ASIA, They HAVE the tech 2 years ahead of the rest of the world!

This is THE BEST Zelda game ever. This even beats Ocarina of Time in my opinion. The story line in Skyward Sword is just as great and there are so many better features, abilities, and options. The graphics are very pleasing & it's extremely stupid for people to disregard this game over that. There are countless side-quests available & the bosses are ALOT more fun to fight compared to the other Zelda games. (Trust me) Furthermore, you can also fight ALL of the bosses as many times as you want!
.. Zelda games evolve, so should the people who think this is a bad game. Shitty or not, games are based on an average scale of enjoyment and fun not on its looks or its quality. This is the Zelda of the future, and i, at least, am evolving...

@20DarkNaruto I really love The Legend Of Zelda series, this is the only one that i didn't liked, because it was made for the wii and they didn't used all of they could for the graphics, i guess.... anyway, ANY zelda game is bad. i know that if the graphics isn't good, something will come from nothing and suprise me, just like in every zelda games. Zeruda no Densetsu: Kaze no Takuto doesn't seen to have so goods graphics too, but i'll buy it for my gamecube and see what this game will reveal.

Seriously! The graphics are cell-shaded ( a mix of TP and WW ). Yeah, Zelda's a legend, but the graphics aren't the only thing of importance. Look at Windwaker: it had way worse graphics ( cartoonish graphics ) but it had a good story. These graphics make it look like came directly from a painting, which Nintendo wanted, and they did. This is supposed to be the prequel of Oot and the first Zelda the have a blended mix of graphics.
You do realize it's cell-shaded ( a mix of Twilight and Windwaker graphics ), right? The game is supposed to have impressionist art. This is just the demo. Sure , Twilight princess had good graphics, but this game speaks for itself. Everything is in HD now for a reason... when the DVDs started to replace video tapes, companies MOVED on, when 1080p was achieved, MICROSOFT and SONY moved on and IMPROVED whereas Nintendo (hear me out on this) Nintendo HAS a GREAT POTENTIAL for games, but they're being LAZY, and IRRELEVANT in today's tech. This game was ok, but I still thing Twilight Princess was better. Not because it's more realistic, but I felt the dungeons were better and the rewards felt better.

It is a good game but I disagree with you. Ocarina of time had a better story. OOT will always be my number one favorite Zelda game. I loved Skyward Sword but there was a few problems 1 each time you wanted to play you had recalibrate the wii motion plus 2 Tentalus was a huge disappointment and was surprisingly easy and finally 3 there was soooooooo much dialoge in the beginning that you couldn't skip on your first playthrough. Skyward sword is one of my favorite Zelda games.

Another thing. There's plenty of good games with bad graphics- take Windwaker for example. Graphics doesn't even matter to a game. Story and the pure enjoyment of a game is what matters because you ( the player ) get to know more about the history and the origins of the game itself and you get to experience in the game's assets. Think of the positives that all the games we play answers to the question "Why i am enjoying this?" instead of the negatives and focus more on the game itself.

Cell-shading Skyward Sword makes it more charming and more of an adventure that strikes you with excitement at every turn and every moment. Cell-shaded graphics vs. Ocarina graphics?..... I'd choose neither but if I had a favorite, I'd go with cell-shading anytime...

Ocarina ( for the 64 ) sorta lost its luster- it still is a good game but it doesn't offer newer technology and the story is more understandable in SS. I'm screwed!" Sailing in Windwaker was a nightmare! Horseback riding was ok until you were able to use your sword on horseback.

They were plenty of brilliant ideas for the Windwaker but it all backfired into a more lazy cartoon game. And I guess the Wizzrobe looked a lot like Toucan Sam... Damn Makar!!! @Vinnyboy333 I found the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time pretty creepy if you ask me. i remember that I once had to beat a Stalfos ( so annoying ) over again because i did not kill the rest in time. Same thing happened when escaping Ganon's castle with Zelda... Yeah, the Tower of the gods disappointed me too... I expected more of a challenging dungeon.... Thank god there are no Redead in SS.

I was always exciting about finding something new in the next square of the map :P..I enjoyed that part...And my favorite temple in oot is the water temple!! ^^

Getting the Megaton hammer was hard too... my favorite temple would be the Shadow temple! i always try to bring the Stalfos down with the ferry! Skyward Sword brings back the forgotten flashbacks and the story of how our young hero and his friend ( Zelda ) becomes the Chosen One, Zelda becomes a princess and Ganon's birth. Ocarina settled for more of a "polygon"-related type of characters and 3D landscapes with bare buildings. Truly,I like the revamped 3ds version of Oot better than its 64 counterpart because it offers more of a challenge ( Master Quest ) and the buildings are more furnished. I have nothing against the 64 version. Btw SS got a 10/10 from IGN,which clearly is a masterpiece!

@Vinnyboy333 Technically speaking the old graphic style is top down pixel art. Twilight Princess is still a fairly recent addition to the Zelda series. Ocarina of Time was never meant to be realistic in it's art style. OoT 3D's art is the original art for OoT which wasn't fully present in the 64 version due to hardware limitations. The art in OoT is actually more manga / anime derived, especially in the face models, than realism (mind you manga / anime style art has always been used for Zelda).

I, for one, am in agreement with you because cell-shading and giving SS a mix of Twilight Princess and Windwaker art style was the BEST idea they had!!!! Kudos Nintendo!!! And you know what? The art style is more realistic in SS and gives Zelda a different new experience to it.

All I can say is, the story of this game blows all of the other zelda game stories by far! Aside from that, this game got me like no other game has ever done, I just finished it today and I still can't go over it. Everytime a new plot element was revealed, I was overwhelmed by all of the greatness! Now move over ocarina of time, you were good but the time has come for another game to take your place, a game that revolutionized motion control, just like how you revolutionized open-world 3d game.

@bouchandre i disagree with your opinion, plus I hate when people say their opinion like its a fact. I don't feel that SS is anywhere near the greatness of OoT and MM (I hold those 2 as equals). It is a great game, but I dont find SS worth a second playthrough. The glicthy overused motion controls, too short dungeons... saving the world is a sidequest story... I doubt SS will have the fame it has now in 10 years. I respect and understand your opinion, not trying to bash on yours.

@bouchandre It is agood way but I disagree with you. Ocarina oftme had a better story. OOT will always be my number one favorite Zelda game. I loved Skyward Sword but there was a few problems 1 eah time you wanted to play you had recalibrate the wii motion plus 2 Tentalus was a huge disappointment and was surprisingly easy and finally 3and there was soooooooo much dialoge that you couldn't ski on your first playthrough. Skyward sword is one of my favorite Zelda games

I'm sorry, but at this point in the CENTURY, Technology is RELEVANT, Graphics quality is RELEVANT. Everything is in HD now for a reason... when the DVDs started to replace video tapes, companies MOVED on, when 1080p was achieved, MICROSOFT and SONY moved on and IMPROVED whereas Nintendo (hear me out on this) Nintendo HAS a GREAT POTENTIAL for games, but they're being LAZY, and IRRELEVANT in today's tech. This is THE BEST Zelda game ever. This even beats Ocarina of Time in my opinion. The story line in Skyward Sword is just as great and there are so many better features, abilities, and options. The graphics are very pleasing & it's extremely stupid for people to disregard this game over that. There are countless side-quests available & the bosses are ALOT more fun to fight compared to the other Zelda games. (Trust me) Furthermore, you can also fight ALL of the bosses as many times as you want!

@20DarkNaruto I really love The Legend Of Zelda series, this is the only one that i didn't liked, because it was made for the wii and they didn't used all of they could for the graphics, i guess.... anyway, ANY zelda game is bad. i know that if the graphics isn't good, something will come from nothing and suprise me, just like in every zelda games. Zeruda no Densetsu: Kaze no Takuto doesn't seen to have so goods graphics too, but i'll buy it for my gamecube and see what this game will reveal.

Seriously! The graphics are cell-shaded ( a mix of TP and WW ). Yeah, Zelda's a legend, but the graphics aren't the only thing of importance. Look at Windwaker: it had way worse graphics ( cartoonish graphics ) but it had a good story. These graphics make it look like came directly from a painting, which Nintendo wanted, and they did. This is supposed to be the prequel of Oot and the first Zelda the have a blended mix of graphics.

You do realize it's cell-shaded ( a mix of Twilight and Windwaker graphics ), right? The game is supposed to have impressionist art. This is just the demo. Sure , Twilight princess had good graphics, but this game speaks for itself. Look at Windwaker, the graphics were way worse ( cartoonish graphics ) and look at twilight, blend them both together and you have Skyward Sword. I don't have anything against you hating the graphics ( i actually like them ), it's just my opinion.

The only negative thing about this game is the selfish and pathetic decision not to allow the option for gamers to use the classic or GC controller. The wii remote is pathetic what a gimmick
