@ongjared ... Yes, there are cabs all over the place, for every part of the Today screen.

That's called the "Tab bar" and those are Tab bar icons. Search any of the Windows Mobile or Pocket PC sites to get them. For example PPC Geeks has a lot in the WinMo customization section.

@Janirys2279 ... You will have to Google that question. Best place, ask on a Metro PCS forum (fan site).

Services (FB, Twitter) are usually proprietary to the phone's operating system's capability, functionality, and carrier's services. So if Metro phones do not provide Net access to social sites, for example, you will be SOL.

Also, a SIM card won't work on a phone that's not "authorized" by the SIM. Maybe it can be used as a phone, but not for data, WiFi or otherwise.

When i get to the color screen, an error appears saying i should check the connection, I always make sure im connected before i start and i have hardspl. But progress bar never comes up. What could be the problem

Seriously, what did you do, try to install a GSM ROM on a CDMA phone? That's the fastest way to brick a phone.

download new rom-------> connect your phone to pc ------> perform task 29------> install new rom-----> hardreset after installing and you are good to go.

Absolutely not true. You can go back and "lock the door" so to speak.

All you need is the stock ROM I have and the "reverse hardSPL" program I have. Once done you can't tell there was HardSPL on the TP2

As far as I know the Sprint and Verizon phones can't be flashed as the unlocker is not done yet.

I would go to XDA developers and make sure that any TP2 ROM will in fact SPECIFICALLY work with your Sprint TP2.

I love all your videos on the TP2. It's great seeing real time details on your experience with the TP2. I have a quick question about updating the factory T-Mobile TP2 to a cooked rom, which is will the cooked rom completely delete the factory rom from T-Mobile? And can you ever go back to the factory rom from the Clear Storate option in Settings from the new Rom installed?

Yes, if you flash your TP2, it will delete the factory T-MO ROM. However, the good news is that you can flash back to the factory ROM and "lock the door" you opened so to allow you to put your phone back to factory.

This is handy if you need to send the phone back to T-Mo on a warranty claim.

The program you want from XDA is a "relocker." Look in my info box in this video for the download link.

I suggest you download it and save the instructions for use in the future.

Yes, any contacts in the ROM will be wiped. But contacts on the SIM card (name and phone number) are preserved.

Also, use the free Microsoft service called MyPhone to upload all your information to your MyPhone account. After flashing download the info on to your new OS.
