MTV Kids (Nickelodeon) ran The N since day one they just wonted all their channels to have the "nick" in their name, thats why its TeenNick now, but i don't now why they canceled the show. They should have givein it to MTV (since Nick is run by MTV Networks)

usually the just stop making shows but at least south of nowhere had a good ending.

Shows never just randomly stop ending unless there are big reasons why they can't go on. Usually most shows, even comedies- have an ending on the last episode. But South of Nowhere definitely wouldn't just end because it was more just like a real long movie. Every episode went in order and in a sequence and related to the previous one in a way so it was more of a story, but with comedies and some other shows, they never really relate and are just random episodes.
