USS Midway

I served on this ship from 1988 until 1992 when it left Yoko. I cross over to the Independence in Pearl Harbor. I also became a shellback on this ship. The midway was special.

I was onboard for westpac of 86 or 87 out of Yokosuka Japan. Tad to Comdesron 15 with Com. Barnes. I remember we lost an E-2C of the angle deck and watched it hit the water. I have never and will never forget the 2 of 5 brothers lost that day. We also found out that the dome of the Hawkeye floats. I love this ship. She is where I also became a shellback. Thankyou for the memories.

Awesome Carrier.... I served aboard this ship and was one of the last crew members on board. I decommissoned it back in 1991/2 I believe.. MAN how time flies.. Thanks for the memories.

Really nice job. Especially considering it was done with all still pictures. What software did you use? Very impressive and nice choice of music, too.

Thanks! One of my first attempts at this kind of thing. The software is Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows and the music is "Ace of Wands" (unplugged version) by Steve Hackett.
