  • all you military hopefuls who can't.... there are lots of people who can't serve in that capasity... despite smoking the ASVAB and being told to go into intelligence I was outed for an insignificant numb patch of skin.

then again, military was only a means to a financial end for me so I guess my words ring hollow... thank you for your desire to serve in a capasity that I could only do in desperation.

  • @wshgrove08 Yeah, I wanted to be in the Marine Corps, I can't as well. As for it not changing your life, it's affected mine big time because alot of things I do...I can't really do anymore. People are always questioning if I can this or that, and wont ley off my back. I've had type 1 diabetes for 5 years. Wish I could say proudly, but I don't want too. It's lame :S

  • Check out their web site and you will that their funding comes from Rx companies who do not want a cure. Meters are free but the test stripes are costly. Can you say conflict of interest?

  • Im 14 and got diabetes 4 months ago and it doesn't really change much for me, just got to give myself a shot before I eat. And I too want to be in military:army but cannot

  • @wshgrove08

thank God you can't go to military - it's a Gods blessing!!!

  • I'm 13, Almost 14 living with type 1 diabetes, My goal in life is too be a marine! =D With a cure, It will help make that dream possible! =D

  • As a doctor of pharmacy who is married to a type 1 diabetic I can reassure all of you that the drug companies have no incentive in keeping a cure from the public. The idea that the drug companies are against a cure so they can profit is wrong. Insulin is dirt cheep and can be obtained from different companies.

On a different note I strongly believe that we will see some amazing developments in the next 5 years. several promising and different cures are in early testing phases.

  • I am almost 40 and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 4. I have heard numerous times about how a cure is just around the corner. It can be frustrating because we're just sitting here waiting! Sometimes I think they don't want diabetes cured because of the profits the drug and diabetes supple companies get, too. I have an insulin pump which is way better than what I had in the early 70s to deal with my blood sugar so technology has advanced and I hope it continues to advance. :)

  • I am 26 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes when i was 2. As a 24 year diabetic i have hears many claims that a cure is just around the corner, nothing has happened yet. If they do find a cure then great! Lets no get our hopes up. Sometimes you just have to accept they way you are and deal with it. For any young diabetics who read this keep your blood sugars level, do not smoke and dont drink too much. Following these will keep you well. Remember it could be worse, like cancer or aids.

  • @TheEnemyOfTheFaith - Wow, I didn't know Type I diabetes was a pissing competition with other illnesses.

  • @arihuss What are you talking about he was just telling some people what to do if they have diabetes

    so stfu

  • Well I am crying again after watching another one of these...My daughter diagnosis date is 4 yrs. tomorrow.

To all the negative comments I guess some just have to complain about something. I refuse to believe there will never be a cure becuase I have Faith in God and I believe he will lead someone to the cure.

  • Diabetes type 2 is curable and in some cases TYPE 1 is cured.

    w w w DOT treeoflife DOT n u

A resort by Gabriel Cousens, MD.

watch the movie RAW FOR 30 DAYS on youtube or watch SIMPLY RAW on youtube, in the movie type 1 and 2 were cured and have been cured at the resort till this day.

  • First of all there will never be a cure because a cure would mean no money for the drug companys. You are getting your hopes up for nothing in the drug companies.

  • Recently I read Dr Faustman is inching towards a cure. Check her out.

  • Also read JDRF didnt see the need to fund Dr Faustman.

  • exactly, the drug companies have a buisness selling you needles and insulin why would they find a cure? they want that money.

  • Yes it seems that way

Same can be said for other drug companies.

This to me is ok in a way as business need to make profit, I understand this, but they shouldnt unfairly influence/lobby government funding. Dr Faustman struggled for many years trying to get some sort of government funding, even though at the time she and her team were curing type 1 in mice (trial stages) I believe at the end she received some.

    She needs more.

  • Plz tell me what song this is!

  • I agree, but I suffer to,,I feel guilt every time mom sould give money to help me, but I know and she knows there is nothing we can do about it,,even if it leaves us with less money for food, she just looks at me and tells me its okay (bless her), so you know there is nothing else left than to HOPE...And there realy is no need to blame God, coz this is apart of life ,nobody said it was going to be easy...I just pray these money hungry fools would sumday realise peoples lifes are at stake...

  • i could not agree more im not very amotional and this made me cry

  • no, its not amazing. So, what happens to the JDRF if suddently there was no juvenile diabetes? Obviously they cant exist. So funds, no "walks for the sure" no grants no money NOTHING. thats thousands upon thousands of people out of a job. Not to mention the losses of money from the big pharmaceutical companies. Insulin, needles, test strips, lancets and the list goes on. those things not existing? wow thats a huge chunk out of the economical pie.

  • this world does not cure diseases because too many greasy men in suits make too much money off of diseases. Prescription drugs are SOOOOO expensive...marked up thousands of times that the cost is to make them. When an industry this rich gets threatened with a cure to an epidemic disease? Simple! They pay off the right people to make it go away. They don't want cures, they want us to suffer so they can have our money.

  • Speak the hell up!! Be mad be god dammed outraged at it make yourself heard and maybe we can aim for change instead of bogus "hope" and "walks for cures" by ridiculous organizations like the JDRF. Fuck you JDRF..you can go straight to hell thinking you are doing good. EVIL MONEY SUCKING PARASITES! .

  • @MXSLICK , i AGREE WITH YOU BUT BE CARFUL WHAT YOU SAY ON HERE.

not only are they keeping us sick but they are actually making us sick with , bogus vaccines, excitotoxins, contaminated air and water.

thier really isnt a way out they need to reduce the human population

  • @MXSLICK , another thing, this might surprise you but it AINT ABOUT THE MONEY!!

these are men of pure evil souls who find pleasure in human suffering.

they live forever and have all the secrets to everlasting life

  • wow this is amazing ! (:

your a talented git arent youu :P ily
