If there is ice or something in it they never advertised it as such. You can buy a water evaporating vest for forty bucks. These jackets cost like 150 bucks and do the same thing a fan would do. Though atleast it won't blow away your paperwork while you are in the office. In the SouthEast it is humid and these would only move air on you since your perspiration won't result in cooling. In the SouthWest it is Arid and we can just use water evaporating jackets.

The fans pushing air though the jacket are moving the hot air out. If the fans werent in there, it would be quite hot because of the body's heat being trapped inside. With the fans, the air is pushed out, thus cooling the wearer. So yes, it is logical. If the jacket didnt work, they wouldnt be using it. 100 degrees is freaking hot.

Urrr.........a fan wouldn't cool you when it's 40C.....it would just bring air (hot) from the back and then pass it fowards (still hot).............

Also, a "small" air conditioner would still use more power and it would also take way more time to cool things down as it needs to get the whole room temperature down, not just the minimal air between you and the jacket.

I'd like to see you go to Japan and try to cool down with a puny little fan......lol

In Japan the main heat comes from the sunlight heat which is kept by the concrete and tarmac which can cover lots of land in Japan, also it is very humid and so you can't cool off much through sweating.

You go to Japan and spend every day of your Summer sweating away when it's 40C and tell me how you feel!
