So many died because the Jews of that time were so docile. The women all knew they were going to be killed. They had nothing to lose by refusing to cooperate and do what they were told. If they fought back or tried to run it would have been very difficult for their killers. Even if they ended up shooting everyone who ran the killers would still have had to pick up all the bodies and put them in the pit. It would have slowed things down greatly. The Israelis of today are nothing like these sheep

You can see and hear the terrible emotions she had went through and still have till this very day whenever she retold her own survivor story. Who are we to judge if she is telling the truth or not? We were never there, but those people were and any human being can see from their faces how much they had suffered.

I asked my mom why she refuses to buy a pet dog. She told me that my grandfather told her stories about how the dogs ripped the Jews into pieces. She can't even stand the sight of a dog. The holocaust has and will be affecting future generations.
The fact that we still have people in the world today who deny the Holocaust happened is proof that one day mankind will be forced to relive the Holocaust again. I've been to some of these places in Germany after the reunification. When you walk the rows between the barracks that still exist you can still feel the horror of what happened there. After the rain, you can still smell the death. The really sad thing is that it will happen again. Not to the Jews, but to someone else. Somewhere else. Humans will never, ever learn.

BTW I say these things with the utmost respect for all victims of WW2(Jewish and non-Jewish) its just my opinion on the subject and not intended to offend anyone.
Also, a large number of Jewish (and non-Jewish) prisoners would have died from disease (which was rampant in the camps, especially typhus I think) and malnutrition (especially towards the end of the war when the allies were bombing german railways to cut off their resources like food, leaving little to none left for the prisoners). The Germans did NOT have the resources to operate "killing machines all over the country and fight a brutal war on two fronts, its NOT possible.
First hand accounts do not prove the Holocaust happened, I am sure the Jewish people went through some terrible times in the German POW camps (NOT "death camps") but so does anyone in a POW camp, just look at some of the controversy over modern American POW camps like Guantanamo Bay. Also the Jewish people and the German people had a lot of animosity towards each other because of Pre-WW2 economic conditions which would have caused them to be singled out at times.

I do not understand some of the comments. I found this video very personally touching. My own ancestors left Lithuania before the travesty she speaks of, but it was during a similar event driven from Moscow.
I'm sitting here sobbing.. It takes me back to my high school history class when we had a guest speaker who is a survivor. Remembering her stories and watching this one makes me cry even more... How awful it must have been to have lived it. I give everyone of the survivors credit for telling their stories to our generation, it makes one appreciate living the life we do today.

I asked my mom why she refuses to buy a pet dog. She told me that my grandfather told her stories about how the dogs ripped the Jews into pieces. She can't even stand the sight of a dog. The holocaust has and will be affecting future generations.

The fact that we still have people in the world today who deny the Holocaust happened is proof that one day mankind will be forced to relive the Holocaust again. The type of people who deny the Holocaust are the exact same type of people who walked hand in hand with Nazis and Hitler, either turned their backs on what was going on and ignored it or went as far as helping in the murders of millions. These are the kind of people who would stand by and allow it to happen again today.

I've been to some of these places in Germany after the reunification. When you walk the rows between the barracks that still exist you can still feel the horror of what happened there. After the rain, you can still smell the death. The really sad thing is that it will happen again. Not to the Jews, but to someone else. Somewhere else. Humans will never, ever learn.

I have learned about holocaust when I was a little kid. With all the documentary pictures and videos of what has happened, it still surprises me to learn that there are many people out there who deny Holocaust.

Also, a large number of Jewish (and non-Jewish) prisoners would have died from disease (which was rampant in the camps, especially typhus I think) and malnutrition (especially towards the end of the war when the allies were bombing german railways to cut off their resources like food, leaving little to none left for the prisoners). The Germans did NOT have the resources to operate "killing machines all over the country and fight a brutal war on two fronts, its NOT possible.

First hand accounts do not prove the Holocaust happened, I am sure the Jewish people went through some terrible times in the German POW camps (NOT "death camps") but so does anyone in a POW camp, just look at some of the controversy over modern American POW camps like Guantanamo Bay. Also the Jewish people and the German people had a lot of animosity towards each other because of Pre-WW2 economic conditions which would have caused them to be singled out at times.

When I was little two people who survied the holocaust came to speak to us and I remembered almost crying. Its horrifying what they did to them. Just for being Jewish.

Even if this lady isn't telling the truth, the Nazi did do worse things than what she is talking about. What a terrible time in History this was. These people who were tortured and died and those who fought to end this murder of the innocent will always be remembered!!! I am proud to say that my grandpa helped end Hitler's evil reign. why the hell would she be making this up? does she not look incredibly distressed while telling the story? lots of fucked up things happened during this time period and very little of it makes sense, especially to americans today. there are a million possible reasons how she got out of dying, we just dont hear the end of the story. HenkieRS, how dare you say she made it up for attention / money. She was equally not putting the Germans in a bad "daylight" but Nazism. I've visited Auschwitz, and am correctly doing an extensive report into the the Death Marches - and to see what you typed out really did shock me. Go read a book on the Holocaust and educate yourself. And for those wondering how she remembered it in detail - think about if you had just seen your loved ones shot infrount of you, along with many others.

I do not understand some of the comments. I found this video very personally touching. My own ancestors left Lithuania before the travesty she speaks of, but it was during a similar event driven from Moscow.

I'm sitting here sobbing.. It takes me back to my high school history class when we had a guest speaker who is a survivor. Remembering her stories and watching this one makes me cry even more... How awful it must have been to have lived it. I give everyone of the survivors credit for telling their stories to our generation, it makes one appreciate living the life we do today.

Being taught about WWII through textbooks since 6th Grade, I don't feel much until I see reenactments about the Holocaust and hear the woeful stories of these strong and courageous people like her. Then my heart just sinks over the cruelty that Hitler put among these people.
In my honest opinion, the only people worse than Hitler are those who carry on his message and those trolls who disrespect others for their believes.
