Great video. I feel the same way. I have a question about my two guinea pigs. I got one that was 1 year old(mcgee) and 1 that was 7 weeks old(howard). Both males. As howard has been growing up. They both seem to rumble strut a bit. But I have not noticed any teeth chatter. However howard now does this thing like coughing....huffing. It's like a hoarse cough..sorry best way I can explain it. Is howard just been a pesky teenager or should I be concerned. Well I am anyway.

My ten year old sister owns a Guinea pig and she knows only to put about an inch or so of water into the tub to bath the animal.Its common sense!! I hate hearing that people doing stupid shit to there Guinea pigs(or any other animal for that matter).

Thank you for your honesty. You do have to be very careful with Guinea Pigs and there are lots LOTS of people who get them and don't educate them on their care. There is so much information on the web about Guinea Pigs that will help you get started the right way it's not even funny. So just take time to educate yourselves on care. It is very important. We learned all about their behavior just by visiting a few sites. Take care of you Cavy!!! Watch your kids closely with them, too.

I feel so bad for my guineas, I got them off of Craigs List and they were in a smoking home, small cage, and had Cedar bedding! On top of all that, the water bottle they gave me to come with them was from PetCo! How awful is that? All things that they could've possibly done wrong were done wrong! Now, they are rehabbing in a spacious 2x4 C&C cage lined with fleece bedding. I had to cut their nails 2 days after getting them b/c they were impairing their walking abilities.

@Burmiya Wait,if the 'sound of running water' can deafen a piggy or any animal, not only would I it have to be seen to be believed by mwe, but what a weak animal anyways. My piggies are not deaf and there are lots of louder sounds thanthat they have experienced, like a blow dryer, or music/movies. They look up but go ahead calmly about their social activity uneffected.
@crabbigail2007 Thats probally because they are already deaf :p. It is a proven fact that you can deafen a guinea pigs with loud noises, its the same in humans. Go to a night club long enough and you will stop hearing things so clearly. Same with guinea pigs but they rely on their ears to hear things from afar so they can bolt to safety, thus their ears are more sencitive then ours.If you make the same sounds that we hear that can be deafening enough for us at times imagine what it does to them

haha guinea pigs rule and yeah its sad to see animals in dangerous places like wtf people(on youtube) even put them on a trampoline and started jumping and it was like going crazy. my guinea pigs live in my room and i have a big play pen so they wont escape or go chew wires or get lost i dont wash my guinea pig either because they clean themselves people!!!!

I saw a video where some kids put their guinea pigs on a trampoline and were bouncing the pigs on it and laughing hysterically. It's not cute and it's not funny when people mistreat the animals like that.
I agree, I watched a video of a guinea pig being mistreated and I actually cried at how some people treat them, as I own two guinea pigs I find it so sad to watch horrible videos like some of those on youtube and elsewhere, guinea pigs are the most friendliest creatures, in my opinion. I have wires on the floor in my hall way, i always let my piggies run around in there, they dont chew them, and as long as your keeping your eyes on them, then its perfectly ok. Your right about the water thing though, i never put my gippies in water any deeper than their belly. Theres a really shocking video here...
You said it! Pumpkin is SO big!! It's adorable! My guinea pig Doodle won't let me out of his sight, and it seems that Pumpkin is the same way with you! I recently lost one of my piggies, MooMoo and I am heartbroken! How anyone could let their piggies life be in danger is beyond me. im glad you made this video people need to know what dicks there being, when ever i have to bath my guinea pig i alway use a cup with the water in and just jently poor it on her back so she dosnt freak out+ sinks, baths tubs what ever are slippery and even a humman baby can drown in 1inch of water..... (SO SAME TO YOU PEOPLE WHO CAN TAKE CARE OF YOUR PIG PROPERLY!!!)

haha guinea pigs rule and yeah its sad to see animals in dangerous places like wtf people(on youtube) even put them on a trampoline and started jumping and it was like going crazy. my guinea pigs live in my room and i have a big play pen so they wont escape or go chew wires or get lost i dont wash my guinea pig either because they clean themselves people!!!!

Use common sense people! Guinea pigs will chew on anything and everything. Wires and cords are a big no-no!
I saw a video where some kids put their guinea pigs on a trampoline and were bouncing the pigs on it and laughing hysterically. It's not cute and it's not funny when people mistreat the animals like that.

I agree, I watched a video of a guinea pig being mistreated and I actually cried at how some people treat them, as I own two guinea pigs I find it so sad to watch horrible videos like some of those on youtube and elsewhere, guinea pigs are the most friendliest creatures, in my opinion. I admire your message, Pumpkin is lovely. :)

that was an awesome video, you are so right about ignorant people, i just watched one with a mom guinea pig with her babies in a wire bottom cage, made me sick, if you cant educate yourself and dont have the resources, dont get a fucking animal, they dont ask for this, anyway, i loved the pureness and the way you just put it all out there

I know what you mean and I totally agree. I've seen so many videos where a guinea pig or some other animal is in a baby pool or something and everybody is just saying "aww its so cute!" when the piggie is swimming frantically, lookin for a way out. I hate it when people abuse their pets.

I have wires on the floor in my hall way, i always let my piggies run around in there, they dont chew them, and as long as your keeping your eyes on them, then its perfectly ok. Your right about the water thing though, i never put my gippies in water any deeper than their belly. Theres a really shocking video here...

You said it! Pumpkin is SO big!! It's adorable! My guinea pig Doodle won't let me out of his sight, and it seems that Pumpkin is the same way with you! I recently lost one of my piggies, MooMoo and I am heartbroken! How anyone could let their piggies life be in danger is beyond me. I would have done anything to save my baby, I spent almost $500 trying to! Cheers to you GP owner!

i no im 12 and shouldnt be watchin this but i absoulutely agree i got 4 guinea pigs they run around i hide the wires i only use a small amout of water in bath i watched vids on utube where they r drownin them n throwin them in pools its not right MY FRIEND HAD A GUINEA PIG CHEWED ON WIRES AND IT WAS DEAD SHE WAS LAUGHIN WEN IT HAPPENED SO I SMACKED HER N RAN OUT ROOM AND CALLED HER ALL THE NAMES UNDER THE SUN

thank you for making this video. you are absolutly right. I own 2 guinea pigs. one i bought when he was a bout a month old and the other one I just adopted. so the new one is scared and my friend keeps putting his whole hand into the cage and like giving him a panic attack. and he actually owns 2 also so i hope he doesn't do that to his.
