The only version I knew of as a kid was it fades out, not a locked groove. had it when i was a kid AND IT GAVE ME NIGBHTMARES, then finally got rid of it...then found another copy on ebay, and I dont think that copy is a locked groove, neither was the one from my childhood!
@MichaelHansenFUN Thanks for taking the time to explain. Were the copies that you had UK versions or were they from another country eg USA? Maybe it was just the UK version that had a locked groove.
@Meanmanmartin2007 maybe you are right, the USA version is the one I had. i think the UK version was posted on here on a blogspot because it said so and that routine gave me NIGHTMARES for years as a little kid.
@MichaelHansenFUN Am sorry to hear that it gave you nightmares. For me, it was more a sense of disappointment because my record player stops automatically and so it doesn't continue endlessley.
@TheRoadRunnerCoyote It was afterwards. Its the bit right at the very end of the record. It continues endlessley if you have a record deck that doesn't stop automatically.
I once owned a cassette of this album, but unfortunately I lost it a long time ago. I think it just fades out at the point when Fozzie does his "help" call at the end, but I can't be too sure. If I ever find a replacement, I'd have to check again for myself. Either way, this is a funny but also spooky touch.

@Turnajon I was really keen to know what happened at the end of the cassette so thanks for giving me a rough idea.

@Meanmanmartin2007 I'm only sorry that I couldn't give a better one; if ONLY I still had that cassette! :(
