  • Intresting fact: The Cap Arcona was used in a propaganda filming of a Titanic Movie.

  • oops forgot Ships

  • SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! you should start with the first lost before making a comment on forgetting a ship!

  • thank you for including the HMS Sydney, my grandfather died on that ship

  • the ijn kirishima was a battlecruiser? I thought that it was a battleship

  • 0:51 115 survivors, like from cod zombies. a little creepy ( but that isnt the only thing i point out so dont get mad and say i shoulnt be watching these kind of vids if i only care about cod because id dont )

  • Excellent videos but not enough time to READ the narrative

  • I am glad that you included some of the lost refugee and transport ships that were sunk but are seldom talked about. A lot of non combatants died in those. Shocking loss of life.

  • Do IJN ships have a lower freeboard? Seems like they sit down lower than any of the others I see here.

  • it is in no 1 the yamato

  • WHERE IS YAMATO BIGEST SHIP OF ALL TIME

  • @RC2497

I put it in a different Lost Ships Video

  • well, where did you hear from that there were survivors from SS Armenia???!!!

  • @salamine153

I found out about it from a post on my Whilelm Gustloff Video, and did some research into the attack

  • The Hammond was sunk while trying to help the sinking Yorktown, and many of the casualties there were in the exploding depth charges that blew up as the Hammond sank. The Cap Arcona is an evil kind of tragedy. The "passengers" on it were mostly Jews who were headed for death camps, but the invasion of the Russians made the Nazis herd them into the boat (which got sunk by RAF planes). Survivors trying to get out of the water were machine gunned by Nazis.

  • the SS Armenia is nearly as bad as the Wilhelm Gustloff. The Soviets weren't the only ones to have sunk the wrong ship and resulted in thousands dead.

    7000 dead, 8 survivors.

  • Such a heartfelt tribute for those who perished on board those ships. A bit of additional info: the battleship Roma was actually sunk on September 9, 1943, a day after the Italian surrender. And the Japanese submarine I-52-aside from being sunk by the ships mentioned above, it is also jointly sunk by TBF Avenger bombers from USS Bogue (CVE-9), which deployed newly-built sonobuoys and homing torpedoes for the first time.

  • I forgot to mention something: HMS Dorsetshire is the ship that delivered the final blow to the Bismarck, and was also the ship that left Bismarck's survivors to die

  • @snakes3425 It delivered the final blow, but it wasn't what sank her. Bismarck was scuttled

  • oh yea. and is it on another profile? i cant find it in this one.

  • We got left out of this video

    Nobody wants to remember us.

And we're a result of the biggest US Navy Disaster

USS Indianapolis, and nobody cares for us.

DAMN folks think we should just drop off and die :-(

  • theyve already done a video for it. just look under "More From:snakes3425

  • Actually it's my polocy to never reuse a ship twice. I included the Indy in my Lost Ships 1 Video.

  • You left out USS Indianapolis CA-35 So sad.

    :-(

    US Navy so wonderful.

We kick ass and take names

  • just remembered the name. it was the Frederick Wilhelm

  • @SteelGunner4104

    You mean Wilhelm Gustloff?

  • again a wonderful tribute to those lost. but if i may make a suggestion for another video, it was a German refugee ship. i think it was the Wilhelm something. i forgot the name. but you will know its the ship when it says that over 10,000 perished.

  • @SteelGunner4104

Wilhelm Gustloff, I've already done a video on the Gustloff Disaster

  • Nice tribute but I still mis HMS Ruyter. (Dutch HMS not UK)

  • Great tribute.

  • Very good !

    5 *****

  • This one is sort of messed up in terms of the captions, my old computer contracted a fatal computer virus that rendered it usless, so I had to get a new computer, so I was using a program I'm not use to using to make this one.

PS: I just caught a mistake that I over looked while editing this video: DKM Blucher was lost on April 9 1940. Also it should be noted that Blucher was Prinz Eugen's sister ship

  • Nice video. My only complaint is that I didn't get quite enough time to read the captions. Oh well...

  • I can explaine that, my old computer succumbed to a computer virus and I just recently replaced it, unfortunatly I had to use Windows Live Movie Maker, which I've never used before, to make this video

  • very well done! keep up the good work!

  • What the name of the ship the got rammed by the Queen Mary and sank?

  • HMS Curacoa

  • Thanks

  • Great Video!!!!
