  • at 3:46 i would have left the original vocal from feelings rolling for a bit, but it's a fantastic mix anyway. nice job! :)

  • Haha I was making a joke the other day on school when we had to make a "master mix solution" for PCR(polymerase chain reaction) that it was mixed by DJ Primer lol and there actually excists a DJ primer hahahaha

  • @faab007: Praise the Oxford English Dictionary and my randomly pointing left index finger for that. Could have been something far worse with P.

  • nu:tone remix of feelings is sick i prefer it to the original anyday

  • The thing i llike about Traktor is that it makes you beatmatch manually. But is that a good thing because crowds today are startin to care less and less if you blend they just wanna hear good music

  • how much does the equipment cost?

  • i think i gonna buy the same equipment ;)

    nice mix

    5/5

  • Hmmm, depends a lot on what country you buy it in. Here in Germany the TTs are around 300 € (I got the grey one used for half that). The mixer is around 250 here (worth every cent) and traktor scratch duo with soundcard another 300. But never buy any equipment without trying it yourself first. Stuff that I like might not be the right thing for someone else. And do yourself a favour and BUY your music! A nice collection of legal music is the most important equipment of all.

  • wenn du sagst here in germany können wir glaub ich deutsch reden ;)

  • would people stop being cdj's! you don;t understand how important your record collection is when you've put all that money into it! nothing like taking a record from the sleeve and putting the needle down. sorry, great mix, and we share taste in tunes. good work

  • Sorry mate, I understand that point of view, but I don't share it. I love vinyl, I bought a lot and still do, but as far as DJing goes, I prefer buying digital now. To me, the music is what counts. Not the medium. I mean, it's a nice cozy-feeling ritual to put a needle on the record and enjoy the music. But the part where you pay 10 Euros for a non-cover 2-track whitelabeled 12'' (and really only like one track) I don't like so much anymore. But thanks for the the feedback, I appreciate it!

  • wise words. there are hundreds of tracks id buy but the vinyl release has a swag b-side. the worst is when you want a track on an ep but only want that track. tough decisions

  • @jimboblivesforever I can see where you're coming from, but consider the fact that the mp3s you pay hundreds of dollars for will be worth nothing. Vinyl on the other hand will always retain value as long as its cared for properly.

Regardless of your thoughts on the whole thing, tight mix man, respect

  • Agreed.

(on the other hand, i would have paid many thousands of dollars (euros actually :-) ) for the vinyls)

  • @jimboblivesforever its nice to own vinyl but mp3 are ok......its all about the tunes not the format.......

  • Would you recommend that Denon mixer? I'm considering getting it.

  • Well, it sounds good, it's rock solid. I like the EQs, and the feel of the faders. I read on some forums that turntablists aren't happy with it because they think the crossfader is kind of "slow", but I just mix, and for me it's just fine. So my recommendation is: It's a good mixer, but go to some store and try it to see if it fits your needs.

  • sick mix

  • a best mix! love the caffeine app too : )

  • great mix mate. like you're video set-up with the waveforms on top, i'm going to completely steal this style for recording my mix. hope you don't mind.

  • Sick mix! well deserved top ten!!

the first two tunes sound sick together !!

  • do u ever have the glitch problems? i think only wav files do the glitchn beacause i started downloadn thm insted.. it seems to be working.. what does enyone else think is the problem?? please help.

  • i heird lots of these tunes on the hospatil podcast!

  • awesome mix m8.

let me ask you something.two days ago i bought traktor scratch duo.i connected that with a djm 400 and two cdj's 800.first of all which icon is ablolut mode left or right.mine traktor works regular! but not like cdj but like turntable.i'like in the middle of the track when song plays,if i press cue to return to the cue point.exactly like cdj does.if you or anyone else can help me.

    thanks anyway

(excuse me for the bad enlish,i totally forgot it)

  • Absolute mode is activated with the right button. If that doesn't help, I can't either, because I've never used CDJs with Traktor, so all I can recommend is read the manual. Sorry about that! If all else fails, try browsing the Native Instruments forums, a lot of questions I had have been answered there already, and people there are usually very helpful.

  • I like the way you dropped the Feelings remix in late but made up for it.

  • That's why I still dig touching vinyl so much (even if it's just a timecode plate). Don't know why, but for some reason things like that just don't work that well with cue buttons, at least for me. Might be different with a really nice pair of CDJs, but I personally miss the tactile feel of the spinning platter.

Still, I'm thinking about doing my next mix with inklens tonetable, just for the fun of it :-)

  • Yeh - and the visible waveform makes it a win/win situation.

  • To be honest, I don't like the waveform display in Traktor too much, it isn't very precise. Serato is better in that area, I must admit. I previously used DJDecks (and I still do sometimes), and in that area it was also better, especially the multicolor waveform option that makes music a lot more "visible". But in this case it's mostly my ears - two easy tracks that I know quite well. But you're right, when in doubt, looking at the waveforms helps, and I do take advantage of that.

  • NICE! were to download??

  • nice job :D

  • Fantastic, I knew i'd love this as soon as i hear'd 'Papa Lover' RMX.

U'r a great dj man, very interesting 2 watch and i like the way u put the Traktor screen at the top, u certainly kno hoe 2 use ur equipment! Wicked tune selection, I love a bit of jungalistical DnB, Need 2 get more tunes like this!

Check out my mix's if u get a chance, We'v got compleatly different style's but u may like 'em!

    Yes M8 'Snake Fist', sickness!

    *****, and added 2 favorite's.

    Big Up !i!i!

  • very nice mix!

I' ve also entered the competition this moth. It's not DnB but you might wanna check it out ;)

    sick mix

    5/5

  • Much respect! DDJing is where it's at.

  • Thanks for that ,I appreciate it. I must admit though that I was struggling a little. I am usually the type of guy that likes to play tunes a little longer than 90 seconds, so this Ten Minute Mix is kind of a challenge for me - squeezing so many tracks in such little time is HARD...

  • Sick Mix mate!! the mix was smooth from start to finish and i ur tune selection is sick!! 5/5 from me

  • Well, you certainly made the most of the equipment you have. The video was just fine and I enjoyed seeing the Traktor screen.

I enjoyed the mix and thought the song selection was solid. Good stuff.
